AutoCAD 2013 :: Size Of Open Dialog Window
May 30, 2013When I open a new drawing, the open dialog window stays the same size which is usually too small. I have to resize it every time I open a drawing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can not open the Photomerge dialog window. When I click on it, a message tells me that photoshop has stopped working and it closes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI try to open anything in Photoshop CS, the dialog window shows up for a fraction of a second and then disappears. Photoshop then immediately locks up as if the window is still there and I need to make a selection from there. Only way to do anything at this point is to CTL-ALT-DEL and close Photoshop.
I can't think of anything I installed on the laptop lately, Photoshop has run without incident for months on this machine. The other items in CS don't seem to have any problems at all either.
Autocad MEP 2013 was working fine until I installed SP1 yesterday.
Now when type in open the dialog comes up (not a filedia issue). Â When I click the "look in" pull-down in the open dialog it goes blank and I am unable to browse any folders. Â I've tried rebooting.. Â Should I reinstall?
We had a possibility to see images preview in Open File dialog window of Photoshop CS5 but in new CS6 version there is not such possibility. Should I forget about that nice option and use Mini Bridge?

I don't have this Problem with my copy of Lightroom (which I bought on a CD). Is there maybe a Problem with the retina display?
I have loaded about 10 pictures in the editor of elements 10. I want to save them to an sd card. When I try to do that it tries to save all of my pictures instead.Â

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Autocad 2013, and the Open File Dialog Box has disappeared. Every time I try to open a drawing, it defaults to the command line. I have the same error with Image Attach. It's only my user. Other Users on the computer do not have this issue. Settings to change it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on File>Open The dialog box no longer has a thumnail preview. Only a small grey box hovering on the right that says "Initial View" with a check box. I have attached a snapshot of my Autocad File> open dialog box so you can see what I'm getting on my end.
If I browse for files in windows explorer and change view option to thumbnail I can see the thumbnails just fine.
I've tried everything but I cannot get back my File> Open thumbnail preview.
In Tools> Options I have the thumbnail preview settings all set to save thumbnail preview image. Nothing has changed that I know if for the thumbnail preview to go away.
It's really slowing me down not being able to have thumbnail preview in the file> open dialog box.
I have a problem with previewing of new files I made in INV2013. Old files are OK. I can not find the cause...I also found, that some new files are correct and other incorrect, all made in INV 2013.
There are two types of error:
1) when I pick the file I want to open, in left lower corner - thumbnail window- is displayed text:"preview not available"
2) when I pick the file I want to open, the left lower corner - thumbnail window- is black
In iProperties panel I have checked "Save preview picture"
I've been running dual monitors (22" and a 18") for a while, but I just upgraded to a larger second monitor (now both 22"). Before, I left AutoCAD running in the main monitor, but now I've switched it to run in the second monitor instead. Now AutoCAD will not remember the position or size of the Open and Save dialog boxes while it is in the second monitor. Sometimes it throws them back into the main monitor and other times they show up in the second but without the resize I did previously.Â

I seem to have the problem with all autocad products on my Windows 8 pro desktop. Â I have tried Autocad LT 2013 & 2014.Â
There are four of us in our office who all installed Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013. Â One of us cannot see thumbnail previews in the file open dialog box or in the preview area of Windows explorer. Â She's using Windows 7, 64-bit.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 and all of a sudden when I select "File", and "Open", the dialog box from which I am supposed to select a drawing file has a small "Initial View" box with a small check box to "Select Initial View". This box seems docked to the right side of the "Select File" dialog box but I am unable to select the check box. It seems to do nothing. Is this a glitch?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had resized the File>Open dialog in Inventor. I had resized it so that it was quite large so I realized pretty quickly when I opened another file, that the window size had rest to its original size.
What I found was that if I export a parts list to excel, then go to File>Open, for some reason the size of my file>open dialog is cleared.
When i open Gimp, the image window size is way too big.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt would be nice if Paint.NET would open with the same window size and location as last time it was run.
I've noticed it does this already if you launch Paint.NET from the start menu, but not if you open a file in Paint.NET (which is much more common).
Everytime I open a document in Photoshop CS5, these 2 dialog boxes (Image Size, Script Alert) would pop up. to cancel 2 times to start editing. Is there a setting I can disable this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen press "open" the "open"-window dosn't open. Insted it open a comandpromt by the cursor that promt me to enter full search-way and name on the file I want to open.
What can i do to get the "open"-window?
I made a prompted entry, for example, in a sketched symbol, again, for example.
Now i edit the text and want to write a static text, not a prompted entry and none from that list, but i cannot get the empty, white, window, like in the picture, and like when i start a new text.
I am forced to choose only from the list.
I have a Visual Basic.NET add-in that displays a dialog in Inventor. The code in this dialog opens some parts in the background. This has always worked fine, but now I'm working with Vault and when the files are not checked out Inventor displays a small window and asks the question if you want to check out the file. The problem is that this small windows stays behind my add-in dialog. Is it possible to show the check out windows on top of my add-in dialog? I tried form.show and form.showdialog, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

I am running dual 30 inch monitors each one at 2560x1600 resolution, on windows xp sp3 on an nvidia quadro FX 3700M (dell precision M6400 laptop) If I use CS4 from the single laptop screen, everything is fine. However, whenever Im on the huge dual screen desktop any dialog box activity has a very poor performance. For example, I select File>New and the dialog window takes some two to three seconds to draw on the screen... it might not seem like a big problem but it is very very annoying since I am used to the snappy response of the user interface from years of PS use. It really affects my workflow since I work with many files at the same time. Also, the bigger the dialog window the slower it takes to appear. If I select File > Save for Web and Devices, that dialog window will take up to five seconds to appear on the screen. The problem seems to get worse the longer the OS has been working, ie. if the PC is freshly booted the problem seems a bit lighter. So it might be related to video card memory or something. Here's what I have tried so far to solve this:Since what I'm using is a laptop, the driver choices are limited, however I've been able to force install the 181.20 version of the nvidia driver, but it made no difference. All the official driver versions (176 series) from Dell also have the problem. The problem doesn't seem related to Photoshop's use of the GPU as the problem remains while the GPU acceleration disabled. This problem is also present in PS CS3 as well as CS2 CS1 and version 7 which are all I am able to test.I was able to reproduce this problem on a desktop computer with the same setup on an nvidia quadro FX 5500 card. The dialog box window performance is really terrible.I did not notice this problem in any other application that spans the two screens, even high end 3d ones. Ok well it seems from my testing that Photoshop is simply bogged down by having such a huge desktop area to work with.
