Jul 16, 2013I added a .PAT file to the 'support file search path' in order to use a custom hatch pattern. (Im using AutoCAD LT 2012)
In the process it has deleted all of the predifined hatch patterns and the custom one did not work either. So now I have ZERO hatch patterns.
How do I get the predefined hatches back?

Apr 5, 2012I have just installed my newly purchased PSC5 extended software. When I try to use the ACR it will load and I can use it but when I try to open, save or cancel my image I cannot. This is because the ACR window is too 'long' for my Sony desktop window and the buttons I am trying to access are in the 'shadow' of the desktop window. When I try to resize the ACR window to access the buttons it will let me adjust it on the vertical window edges but not on the horizontal window edges. I have to reboot the laptop to do anything at all.

AutoCad :: Plotting To Standard Architectural Paper Sizes When Dialog Box Opens
Nov 16, 2011I "lost" the ability to plot to standard architectural paper sizes when my dialog box opens. I only have standard paper sizes and other non-architectural related options.
I can still plot to my cute pdf, but only on 8.5x11. I need 11x17, 24x36, etc.etc.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Missing Hatch Patterns In Hatch Library?
Jan 2, 2013Just downloaded Autocad 2013 and am missing quite a few of the standard hatches (siding, soldier, board and batten, etc.) What should I do to get them back. When I open old drawings with these hatches in them, they load just fine...but I am unable to hatch any new areas with these hatches (because they are not listed in the hatch library)

AutoCAD Architecture :: Large Hatch Pattern
Dec 4, 2013I have a CAD station that is having all sorts of issues all of a sudden. When one of our architects opens her drawings she gets the "Hatch - Large, Dense Hatch Patterns" dialogue box.
When I we choose the "Do not convert these hatch patterns" and open the drawing, it converts all the hatch patterns to solid anyway. This is mostly affecting the walls and converting all the hatch into one solid blob of a hatch.
One weird thing is this only happens in the medium detail display configuration. I can go to any other display and it is fine. The other weird thing is that these same drawings open fine on any other computer so it has to be a system problem.
The other gremlin I solved yesterday was that the system all of a sudden was not recognizing the LTYPESHP.SHX file. I had to add the DataCache support folder containing a ltypeshp.shx file to the support file search path.

Oct 8, 2013A work mate here at sometime or another clicked on the "always perform my current choice" check box when the "Hatch - Large, Dense Hatch Patterns" dialogue box appeared.
Question is, is there anyway to reset this so the dialogue box comes back up?

Jul 10, 2009I've been trying to calculate large areas using fills but I keep encountering a problem with some of the hatches not showing an area and thus ruining my calculation. I've found out that I can correct it by removing certain crossing point between lines as is shown below in my screenshots. Is there any reason this is causing a particular problem and can I avoid it to save me having to go back over my hatches checking for these malformed hatches?

Sep 2, 2011I have a Visual Basic.NET add-in that displays a dialog in Inventor. The code in this dialog opens some parts in the background. This has always worked fine, but now I'm working with Vault and when the files are not checked out Inventor displays a small window and asks the question if you want to check out the file. The problem is that this small windows stays behind my add-in dialog. Is it possible to show the check out windows on top of my add-in dialog? I tried form.show and form.showdialog, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

When I section a view and edit the hatches, the 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window always opens off-screen. I have changed the settings in the GPU control panel to have everything open on the last window, but this window will not abide. I move the window to the Inventor window (monitor 2), but it will re-open back to monitor 1 in the exact same position every time.
The 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window seems to be the only window that does this in Inventor. Attached is a screen cap of the issue. The window opens in the same place each time.

AutoCAD 2013 :: 2013 To 2014 Hatch Pattern File Migration?
Jul 1, 2013I have been migrating dozens and dozens of .pat files from one version of AutoCAD to the next for many, many versions. Most recently in AutoCAD 2013 the .pat files were stored in the C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013SupportPatterns - worked fine. During the migration to 2014 I received an install error report stating that this subdirectory did not exist and could not be created. Alternately it stated that the new default path C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupport will be used instead.
At first I created the Patterns subdirectory where it could not be done automatically. No luck. Then I placed the Patterns subdirectory in C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamiongAutodesk|AutoCAD 2014R19.1enuSupportPatterns and no luck.

Now when type in open the dialog comes up (not a filedia issue). When I click the "look in" pull-down in the open dialog it goes blank and I am unable to browse any folders. I've tried rebooting.. Should I reinstall?

Jul 26, 2012I would like to make some sort of an "online" catalog where the engineers could review details, and just tell the draftsmen the details they would like to include in their design set. I'd be very interested in any system that you might use. We, at one time, used printed booklets for the engineers, but got to be a hassle when details changed. Is there a good software system that might make this an easy task?
