I am unable to click on the "recreate boundary" button within the Hatch and Gradient box. It is grayed out. I can type "generateboundaryhatch" and that will work, but I like being able to click on the button while I am in the dialogue box rather than typing in the command.
In ACAD 2013 When selecting a block that is xclipped the xclip boundary is visible as a dashed, editable line. The editable dashed line is also selectable even though it is not visible when the block is not selected.
Is there a way to turn off the selectablity of the xclip boundary, so that I am not selecting blocks when I click near the xclip boundary limits even when I have my XCLIPFRAME set to 0 and the boundary is not visible?
How to give “no color” for the boundary of the layout?
I wanted to give the boundary of the lay out “no color” or “white” such that it disappears as the drawing is printed out but couldn’t figure out how to achieve it.
Also, I’m not sure if there are some other styles for the boundary of the lay out
i need to know if there is any way to control the points in the point cloud.
1. either only import the point cloud in a polyline area i specify
2. add all the points within a boundary not limited to the pointclouddensity = 100, freaking default is 15 almost cost my job today. extremely stressed out right now.
i am talking about extreme lidar surveys. 1km 1km LAS/0.5m contours/xyz files times 355 of them. covers a 2km wide corridor. but i only need 100m wide after i define the road alignment. no need to have all the extra points.
right now i densify the heck out of it and end up like 5-12m points. decent but not good enough because the geotech is bitching about that accuracy is not good for some feasibility study. or is there any software i can do this besides civil 3d.
what i want can also do is automate the 'add points to surface" under point cloud and have the software do multiple boundaries without having me baby it over the night. right now every click is 5 minutes and adds like 400k to 1 million points. Civil 3D 2012
I'm been unable to find what controls the display of the boundary of a section (volume type) object. A section object that does not show it's boundary, when copied to another file shows the boundary.
Same layer states, visual styles, and other setting between both files. There must be some setting I'm overlooking... but a search of the so-called help file was not very informative.
I might be missing somehting completely, but I am reading with Civil 3D 2013 you should be able to clip a Point Cloud, but I am not seeing the clipping panel under the point cloud tab.
“More than 10000 hatch boundary objects are selected”,
In the attached screenshot, I wanted to make hatch for the indicated boundary but I got the message shown in the second screenshot (“More than 10000 hatch boundary objects are selected”)
The dwg file is stored in the link below:

What is wrong with having any number of hatch boundary objects?
I am having problems with 2013 and trying to access the Stress analysis, when going into environments the tab is consistently greyed out. I made a very simple model and pasted the snips below.
I have received a drawing with a a layer's print icon grayed out in the layer manager. I can print anything from that layer and I do not know how to switch on printing for that layer. What must I do and what does the grayed printer icon mean?
I am encountering issues with the "edit boundary" tab on the ribbon, as well as "finish sketch" when the edit boundary tab DOES show up. i don't know how to finish the sketch without this, so i have to undo everything.
I used a 2d polyline to create a surface boundary for a surface created. The polyline is a closed loop. For the boundary type it is outer, unchecked Non-destructive breakline, and mid-ordinate distance = 1.
My problem is that when I do this I only get a small portion of the surface to show up within my surface boundary. If I don't have a surface boundary the entire drawing surface shows up no problem.
The purple polyline is my boundary and the light blue is the surface created within the boundary.
How many people recreate their templates from scratch when you upgrade to then next version of Inventor? When we switched to Inventor we were told that we should recreate our templates from scratch when going to the next release. This wasn't to bad in the beginning but is very time consuming now due to the number and complexity of our templates. I'm curious what other people are doing. I would also like to hear from Autodesk, what do you recommend?
I am trying to recreate the remains of a viking house that was discovered during excavations in the center of Dublin. I want to recreate the conditions of the house from when it was found. A part of this would be to create the 'wattled walls.
How to create this wattling - should I be using the pipe or tube method? If so, is there a quick command for tubes/pipes that weave around each other? I have attached a pdf of the plan of one of these houses.
First off, I'm a GIS user using AutoCAD (self taught) to supplement my work, I'm running AC 2005 (plain vanilla, no add ons).
I am attempting to digitize from a raster I have attached to my drawing. The image is scaled and rotated appropriately. However, I'm at a loss at how to recreate an arc where RADIUS, ARCH and CHORD are given. I hope to attach a screen shot below to better illustrate my question, and that is, how do I re-create this rascal in AutoCAD? The line (arc) I am trying to re-create is circled in yellow.
I have a lot hatches with no boundary around. i need recreate boundaries of these hatches but it take too late time doing it. i am an intermediate in autocad.
I have a copy of an old plan showing curved boundaries which I wish to recreate in C3D. There's lots of connecting arcs, all of which are annotated like:
RAD 15 CHORD 21.213 121°22'15" ARC 23.56 T.L. 15
I can see that the first line is the radius, the 2nd and 3rd lines are the length and orientation of the arc chord, the 4th line is the arc length. I've been able to get a correct result by firstly drawing the chords, then adding arcs with the appropriate radii between the two ends of each chord. However, I'm sure there's a quicker and easier way. Sometimes the arcs are separated by short sections of straight line which have length and bearing details as well.
I usually do mock in FrontPage as I can do it quicky and easily. I know you guys are yelling loud, why not in PS.. I am in the process of learning and once I have he mastery I promise PS will be my primary tool for even typing a document
I have attached an image, primarily with transparent layers and gradient. Please give me a step my step of how to achieve the same effects.
The edges of this fabric are semi transparent. The grey colour to the area where the arrow points is caused by the photo's original background. Now I'm wondering is it possible to recreate the transparency so that the colours from a new background will show through. I've tried colour to alpha but that makes most of the image transparent.
The rest of the image is mostly black and greys with a splash of red. I would post the entire image but it's copyrighted - DA stock model - so I don't want to break the rules.
I frequently find myself recreating gradients created in illustrator using Photoshop. however, even when using the exact settings for color, opacity, and location, they never come out the same. is there some rule of thumb or some logic as to how those two applications create gradients and how to better approximate them?
I'm looking to recreate this color toning effect in my own images but I can quite put my finger on it, I've tried almost every possible split toning combo in light room and countless numbers of curves and gradient adjustments in Photoshop and color layers with all of the blending modes, masks, everything. But I still can't get my image to look like these ones. More specifically I'm looking for those brownish-red shadows/ darks with those warmish skin tones. URL....
I want to recreate the Clarity effect but in Photoshop CS6.. I know I have it in Lightroom and Camera Raw, but for academic purposes I need to create the same effect but using ONLY Pohotoshop CS6...
I would like to re-create the effects used in this image. Would it be possible to create this in Photoshop or do I need 3D modeling software?
I have been trying but I can't seem to get my shapes to look that three-dimensional. Also, how do I get these types of effects with color and texture? The color effect that is used in the triangle I would especially like to replicate.
Recreate my logo icon. I lost my original pst and only have the icon that I crop out of png logo. Basically I need to enlarge it to 1024x1024 and when its over the dark background, it has a lite uneven border.
