I'm using Window 7 Home edition and AutoCAD 2014.
When I publish multiple pages with either pdf or printing, it only prints the first layout. I tried to repair/reinstall AutoCAD and the problem still exist.
I use 2012 at home and 2013 at office, I would like to PUBLISH more than one layout in grayscale, now I`m having it in color.
how can I define the plot style/ page setup within the PUBLISH command?
I have one page setup, but don't know how to get the second one setup.

I have looked back through the file and found that the ones that do not appear also no longer show the image in the symbol library but when i insert them in to the drawing they show up fine.

I'd like to make several drawings * see attachment* , add in the text.....add in some jpgs.....and have ONE document with multiple pages for my customers.

The drawing I just finished and need to plot is 19"L x 9-1/2"H. The printer I have here only does 8-1/2x11 sheets.
How do I plot this drawing on a 1:1 scale so it will print on multiple sheets of 8-1/2x11 to make the single complete drawing? I've tried changing the plot setting but guess I'm over my head.
I am trying to publish multiple tabs in to PDF. But when I do publish command, I get one PDF for each tab, I don't want that. I want all the tabs to be plotted into one PDF. I tried going into the option of publish and set it to multi-sheet dwg, but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.
BTW I am using Acad 2009.
I have a client that needs me to deliver my drawings in PDF format as multiple files with a specific naming convention. What I am doing is publishing to multiple files then renaming each file individually which is time consuming and prone to error.
I was hoping to come up with a way to automate the process.
Here's what I have: Each layout contains a title block block, lets call it "tblock". Within this block there are attributes for drawing title, sheet number etc, lets call these attributes "dt", "sn" respectively. Each layout also contains an Xref which contains a block which has attributes for revision data such as date, revision, issue description etc Lets call the xref "XA1", the block "Xtblock" and the attribute I need "Xrev". In visual basic it might look something like XA1.Xtblock.Xrev
Here's what I need: export each layout as {sn} {dt} Rev {Xrev}.pdf
Now I have used VB to automate Excel tasks and create Database applications so I would describe myself as "handy", just not used VB within Autocad before. I have also not used LISP before either so I'm a bit of a layman in that respect.
I am having problems using the publish command in Autocad 2013. The command works fine in 2010. I am able to plot normally in 2013. As you can see from the attached screenshots my settings are the same in both versions. The command freezes up during plotting of the second drawing in any group.

The model has a layer called sheets that has 17 rectangles in many orientations which overlap and cover the data i wish to print. There is a layout tab called "Sheet 2 to 17" which show page 17 with a tempalte when the pointer is over the tab similar to Windows 7 Aero, but if you open the layout the page space is blank. I'm not familiar with the use of a layer to break the drawing into multpile overlapping sheets and my end goal is to print the model as the 17 defined sheets on 11 x 17 paper.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe run a Canon ipf655... and as far as I can tell, it won't collate by itself - it gets its information from whatever application one's running. In this case, we are running Autocad 2013. I am trying to figure out a way to print an entire job (say, 30 sheets) without having to open up each and every page and print singly. That's what we do now, and apparently have done for the last 15 years; so if my boss requests a copy of the yadda yadda set from 6 mos ago, we have to go back, open up the cover page, open up every other page, and print them in order.
Is there some way to either save all these individual pages as a "job" or something and then print that "job", or otherwise to instruct the program to print 30 pages in whatever order? Each page is definitely set up differently, with different scales and window sizes and such, but it seems like once each page is set up to print properly, one should be able to print a slew of pages without such painstaking time spent.
I wanted to plot 20 acre residential scheme, that i have designed in Autocad, on a scale of 1"= 40'. I have a normal laser print and am willing to plot on a4 size paper.
View 9 Replies View Relatedthe issue is when i try to publish multiple dwg files which containing civil 3d objects including data ref to pdf it won't do it other whatever drawing is currently open.i kinda can see why. because the data ref reading is not programmed in when "invisibly" opening the cad files. xref are autocad native and it works.
so no warnings or anything. just publish the first one and told me it's done. i've seen this years ago when first started using civil 3d but then i just never complained here.
is there a solution for this? what i did before was obviously open each drawing. then publish, huge waste of time. making me hate my job because of repetative tasks. i almost always try to automate.
yesterday made a program to make one surface for each csv file there was hundres of them and basically 2 hour programming and 1 minute to process the files once got the program working.can read subfolders to find csv file too.

I've got everything working but I'm prompted at an Adobe prompt (Save PDF File As...) for every sheet
which is overwhelming when I have multiple drawings with multiple sheets.
I don't know how (or if it is possible) to make it just save to the default name and continue onto the next one.
Is it possible to split a parts list onto multiple pages/sheets? My only solution is to place the parts list three separate times on three separate sheets and on the first sheet hide items 11-30, then on the second sheet hide items 1-10 and 21-30, and then on the third sheet hide items 1-20. Is there any other way besides investing in a larger printer and larger paper?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having an intermittent issue with my publish command. So far the pattern seems to be on drawings with a larger number of sheets (last one was 15, this one is 7). When I get the publish dialog box, I'll set the number of copies to however many I need but it ends up only printing one set. It doesn't happen every time. Just with these two drawings so far. They have nothing to do with each other and haven't shared any data. The only similiarity is that they're both older projects that were started some years ago on previous CAD versions.

Now recently, when I try, It asks where I want to save it then briefly pops up the progress box. Nothing happens, though. The box dissappears and it doesn't create any files. I have tried changing the publish options as well as the publishcollate variable. This is happening to any files I try it with including ones that it worked on just last week. Have I gotten a setting changed somewhere? I tried to run a repair on AutoCAD, but that didn't work?

I have several title blocks each in their own paperspace pages. Could have the attribute filled in, but more than likely only one page will have values filled in the attributes. I am looking for a VL method for finding which pages title block is filled in so that I can get those values and fill in the equivalent attributes for all of the other pages. Currently I am using a long set of :

The example is just a very simplified version of what I'm doing. I just need to find the information, if it exists in any page and store it for later. Afterward, I'll fill in each page's Title Block with the stored information.
I know that this can be done much more efficiently. As I am currently flipping through the pages too much action is occurring on the screen and it makes some people nervous. With VL I should be able to run the search quietly, but I would still like to (setvar "ctab" "to the page with the filled attribute value") after the LISP is finished storing values.
When using the publish command to print multiple sheets from Civil 3D, it will sometimes fail to print certain objects. Usually it is a profile. Occasionally it drops some of the pipes. When we plot sheets individually it plots fine. Only C3D objects are affected, not regular ACAD objects. It only seems to be pipes and profiles. This problem is sporadic. It may be drawing specific but the sporadic nature of it makes it hard to say for sure.
The way we set up our drawings, profiles and pipes are almost always DREF's. This appears to be related. If we creat a test drawing with everything in one drawing publish works fine. If we then seperate into two drawings, DREF the data, and then publish again, the pipes disappear (from the plot not the drawing itself).
The same problem occurs on two different printers so I don't think it's driver related.
It started happening when we were on 2008. I thought maybe it was just that version. However, it seems to have gotten worse in 2009.
I've been using Photoshop to create a series of web pages. I have about 20 such pages right now.Unfortunately, I need to change the navigation menu that is found on all 20 pages.
To make these changes, do I need to change 20 different files? Or is there a way to link one layer group to multiple PSD files so that editing it once results in it changing on all 20 pages?

why the iDrop functionality included in the Publish to Web feature still inside AutoCAD 2013 no longer works...
We use this to tool to host AutoCAD Detail Libraries so users can open details in Design Review or drag and drop details as blocks, exploding the blocks and editing the details to suit the need. However, this no longer works on our webpages!
FYI, We are using IE9 both 32 and 64 Bit.
My brother sent me a TIF file that had multiple pages within it. I never knew this was possible. Is this something that can be done in Photoshop then converted to a TIF file? Once I opened the TIF file, it allowed me to flip from one page to the next so the pages weren't all scanned side by side.

THE ISSUE - when sending multiple pages to the printer, where the pages are spooled, the output will have vertical rasterized streaks of zaggies throughout the output.
THE SOLUTION - send 1 page at a time, wait for it to print, then send next page. FYI Corel has a similar issue when sending several spot pages at the same time.
