I have inserted a jpeg into autocad (a map to roughly draw more information on). In model space it only shows the map and the info I want but in layout space it has a print along the jpeg showing where the image is saved. How can I get rid of the print?
It's Autocad 2013.
I am saving work as jpeg into desktop file.... sometimes (not always) when I go to retrieve it ...it shows up as a file that I cannot open, not a normal jpeg. I just tried to copy and paste to show here..then draged into this space and it opened...tried to save it to desk top from here but it is still showing up as a very weid icon that will not open...? In the properties it shows as a jepeg, but the icon is totally different..

It should be the same location as the line below it (see attached, green arrow). I have reset it a few times now, but it keeps reverting back to None. I have hundreds of blocks in the tool palettes that are looking for their source file on the "T" drive.
My brain says "Find / Replace T: with X: " using Notepad in all of the ATC files.
Is there a better method to tell those blocks to look on the "X" drive?
What is the best way to keep resolution from an AutoCAD file to a JPEG. I am printing my document in PDF and from ther exporting to JPEG. Is not a better way to do it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on File>Open The dialog box no longer has a thumnail preview. Only a small grey box hovering on the right that says "Initial View" with a check box. I have attached a snapshot of my Autocad File> open dialog box so you can see what I'm getting on my end.
If I browse for files in windows explorer and change view option to thumbnail I can see the thumbnails just fine.
I've tried everything but I cannot get back my File> Open thumbnail preview.
In Tools> Options I have the thumbnail preview settings all set to save thumbnail preview image. Nothing has changed that I know if for the thumbnail preview to go away.
It's really slowing me down not being able to have thumbnail preview in the file> open dialog box.

I am having an issue with Backburner (2013.0.0 & 2013.0.2). I recently tried to render a 2011 3ds Max File Through backburner and since then I have been getting this error:
INF Sending instructions for job '(File name)' to (computer name)
WRN Task Error for (computers name)
ERR Job '(file name)' (Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 (64-bit)) failed for Cosmo
ERR Error message: 3dsmax adapter error : Autodesk 3dsMaxDesign 15.0 reported error: Error writing to file "(out put location)".
My render farm and Backburner were working perfectly before this (using 3ds Max Design 2013 and Backburner 2013.0.0), however, ever since I tried to render out the 2011 file I am unable to render even fresh Max 2013 files through Backburner. I don't know if this is important info but the 2011 file was worked on in Max 2011 and 2013.
I rendered out the scene through 3ds max (not Backburner) and was able to save the the Jpegs to the same output location that I need to save to when rendering with Backburner (I have an external network drive so all the nodes can access the necessary data). When I change the file output to my Desktop Backburner works correctly and I do not get this error, however, I need to set the output to the network drive. I tried installing backburner 2013.0.2 and the hotfix file.
I have a surface, to which I've added data from a ENZ file. No problems - I had a workable surface. I want to be able to work on the drawing at home as well as work. So I brought home the DWG as well as the ENZ file thinking that if both were in the same directory, it would work OK. But I get an error saying the Point file can't be found. I can't see any way to make the file reference relative, rather than absolute.

Lightroom is running on MacPro. When printing I am attaching an ICC profile provided by the bureau that is going to produce the prtins. Having said this the file cannot be opened neither on a Mac nor on a Windows PC.
Up until now, i used to exported as TIFFs but after reading Jeff Schewe book The Digital Print i have become convinced that printing through LR to a file is much more efficient.
It is convenient to add each image name as a text on each figure by Slideshow. Could I use each image name as the exported file name?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are having an issue with the xloadpath variable. We currently have a bunch of .ac$ files in the project folders on the network. We are trying to set the temp xref file location to the same folder as the temp drawing files (located on each user's hard drive).
After specifying a location for these temp files, the location is blank once the drawing is closed and opened again (which means they are in the folders on the network).
Why is this folder location resetting to default (no location given) when the drawing is closed and opened up again? Shouldn't this be the same as selecting the folder for the temp drawing files?
Is it not possible to save the published files location to the DSD file?
I am trying to setup different published sets to different folders (multi-sheet and single-sheet) but have no success on changing the default file location in Publish Options.

If I set the location to a folder in my server, the template files aren't showing up. It's like there's nothing there. I've never found this problem before. The templates are shared on the network, so it's the same for everybody. Now it's necessary to everyone copy them locally, which is not the best practice in my opinion.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen copying a symbol (control c) then pasting (control v) I can move the symbol to another location and left click to drop it. Many times when I do this the symbol disappears and you can't see it. If I re (regen) the the entire model disappears. I can close out the drawing then open it back up the drawing has been restored and the symbol will be at the location that I had placed it at. With the same drawing, I don't have these problems with 2012.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently running AutoCAD 2013 LT on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I was recently running this same software on a 32 bit system computer and everything was running properly. After the upgrade, I have noticed a linetype issue that I cannot seem to get a handle on.
We use a "insul" linetype on building sections that should come out looking like an architectural insulation pattern. After upgrading to the new computer, this linetype only reads as dots, nothing else. I have gone to other comnputers in the office that are displaying this linetype properly and have copied their acadlt.lin as well as acadltiso.lin files over to my computer and it has not solved the problem.
I am currently designing a logo for our company in AutoCAD. We use this logo for drawings, shirts, invoices, proposals,....etc. The logo we use was drawing by hand and is very choppy when blown up. This doesn't look good when we send the logo to make shirts and decals. I finished the logo in AutoCAD, which looks very smooth and perfect but when I try to export it in either PNG or JPEG format the logo looks choppy when zoomed in, unlike AutoCAD where it looks smooth no matter how much you zoom into it.
