AutoCAD 2013 :: Control Print Line Weights On Feature Control Frames?
Nov 8, 2012Using AutoCAD 2013 and TOL command to generate feature control frames. We set our lineweights based on layer assignments.
Problem is that when printing, AutoCAD seems to randomly assign a lineweight to the feature control frames. It can vary from what it's supposed to be (such as lineweight set for the dimension layer) or thicker than even what the object lines are set at. Seems to pick a random linewieght at time of printing for these elements (just the boxes, not the symbols/text itself).
Is there a setting we should be defining somewhere to force it to follow the lineweight of the layer that it has been assigned to? Known bug?

Dec 28, 2012My units are set to decimal. In acad 2004, the dropdown list showed options like 1"=50' In 2013, it shows options like 1/32"=1'-0" How can I get it to display such as 1"=50' like before?

Nov 20, 2013I wish to control an array within a block (see jpg). Basically, I have a series of circles which I want to fix to Distance1. I want to control the distance between the circles with an expression called 'centers' (say 80mm). When I change the length of Distance1 in the Properties-tablet to say 600-mm, I want the array to follow the dimension.
When I select the array, the fx button next to the column distance on the array-tablet is greyed out. If I were using Revit, I would apply a dimension and give it a label which I would manipulate in the identity-table. What should I do in AutoCAD to achieve the same result?

Mar 19, 2013xref fade control not working?In model space I have xref'd a dwg (probably 2010 format) and it positions correct and displays in the normal default faded mode. No matter where I have the slider in display options, the xref fade does not change. Even changing the system variable through the command line is ineffective.
I'm running AutoCAD 2013 with Service Pack 1.1. installed.

Aug 2, 2012(Using AutoCAD 2013) I am trying to insert a .dwg as a block (which has attributes) using the "-insert" command, but the attributes order wrong. The .dwg I'm inserting is the "Exploded" version of the block (loose attributes) so that I don't have to explode it after inserting.
Is there a way to control the order of the attributes when they are inserted?

Illustrator Scripting :: Convert CSV To Swatch Library?
Aug 4, 2012I have a list of 300+ colors that I need to make into a swatch library for Illustrator. The data looks like this:
GREEN GRASS,127,187,0
PALE YELLOW,241,235,135
LIGHT YELLOW,238,231,93
DAFFODIL,249,231,21
MOONBEAM,249,223,22
etc.
It's RGB I think. In any case, I am just starting with Illustrator and I know NOTHING about scripting. these colors into a swatch library? I am getting a migraine just thinking about putting them in one by one.
I found something here, but that didn't work for me. I get an error on processing on line 75. [URL] ....

I get as far as choosing the csv file, and then I get the error. I think this outputs as CMYK, but not sure.
Lightroom :: Batch Convert Raw Files To DNG Via Library
Apr 4, 2013I have LR 4.4 running on a Win 7 64 bit PC...
I selected 4 RAW files (CR2) to convert to DNG via the Library modules 'convert to DNG' and then delete the CR2 file.
It converted only the last of the 4 files and left the other 3 untouched as CR2 files. Can LR not batch convert the RAW files in this manner??

AutoCAD 2013 :: Control Buttons Missing (Minimize / Maximize / Close)
Mar 27, 2013I'm using autocad 2013 & the classic workspace instead of ribbon. For some strange reason, if 2 or more drawings are open & I minimize a drawing, it removes the minimize, maximize, close buttons from the right top side of the screen like in the attached picture. To get them back I have to go to the window pulldown & select the drawing from there. I'm using windows 7 pro with a nvidia quadro 1000m card.

Sep 4, 2013I have autocad 2013 and I used to have the material library downloaded and working fine. I recently installed revit 2014 and deleted all 2013 material library and downloaded the 2014 that came with Revit.
However, now autocad gives me an error saying the material library is not installed. Is there anyway to remap it so that it reads the 2014 library? I would rather not download the 2013 library if I don't have to, I use windows on a mac and my bootcamp partition is very tiny.

The result is some strange message in IPJ details. "Inventor Material library" strings in "Appearance libraries" and "Material libraries" are both red and tooltip says "The protein library file is not available".
Why protein? Does it have any relation to [URL] ....?

But, every time I make a new project ipj I have to go find my custom library adsklib file to add it to the project. Is there a certain folder the adsklib file need to live in so that new projects will pick it up automatically?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Migrating Custom CC Library From 2013 To 2014
May 28, 2013I have upgraded to Inventor 2014 and I'm having trouble transferring my custom content center library (local machine, no server). My understanding was that I copy the .idcl and .idz files from the old folder to the 2014 folder, open the projects dialog box, configure content center libraries button, and use the update tool button.
However, in the configure libraries dialog box my custom library doesn't even show up in the list along with my ANSI, ISO, "My Library", etc. Restarting Inventor didn't work.

Jan 8, 2013First, I have not grasped the extent yet of how the new appearance library works.. we don't get crazy with colors, reflections etc.. but we do have a handful of colors that we use on the machines we use.. so instead of using the default appearance library, i made a new appearance library. All this went well, but i periodically as i need them will add colors to it.. problem is that i'm obviously doing something wrong, because my colors don't always stay in there after i restart Inventor.. and yesterday, i can't seem to keep any of the colors i setup in there to stay.. all i want to do is copy specific colors from inventors appearance library.. drag them into mine, rename them, maybe tweak the color, and then they be there for next time.. why won't they stay?
The edit pencil will come up on my library.. i've done the release edit after i'm done.. everything works in this inventor session, but if i turn inventor off and back on again.. they are gone.. only thing i have thought of remaining is that 3 users on our network share the same design styles location so we all our using same stuff, so is the file inventor uses in design styles to save to read only or something, but i read that appearances aren't saved in design styles.. How to do this and the colors stay and populate through all the existing stuff.. I have got the colors to lock into my template ipt in the doc appearances.. and i've done the save to custom library thing.. works until i restart inventor..

I've found one that converts a DXF NC1 but I found one that converts DXF to NC1.
