AutoCAD 2010 :: Adding Listing And Showing Lines Of Different Lengths?
Nov 20, 2013I checked a couple of old posts looking for a lisp routine that will count the number of lines and list each different length either in a dialog box or txt file. I am working on an estimate and I have a floor plan of owsj of different lengths. I downloaded the tlen.lsp but that is only giving the total number of joists and the total length.
I am looking for a lisp so that I can window all the owsj at once and have it list or show the result for the joist in this manner
sample output:
xx joists = 10'-0"
xx joists = 20'-0"
xx joists = 30'-0"
AutoCAD LT :: Incorrect Line Lengths
Dec 6, 2013I'm having a minor issue with one of my drawings. The existing drawing was a .hln file that I have opened in AutoCAD 2011 LT.
I tried to draw a line of length 1600mm but when I take a dim it's only 145mm but via properties its 1600mm. The drawing is attached zoomed-in on issue area.
AutoCAD Inventor :: One Part Multiple Lengths?
Jun 25, 2012I'm creating an assembly and in this assembly I need to add some foam pieces. These pieces are the exact same part number but can vary in length. How can I make such a part so that i can insert it into an assembly multiple times but have different lengths? I'd rather not make multiple pieces of foam for every single assembly for all of our product lines and am looking for the "one foam to rule them all" option. I would assume this would be an ilogic component I would have to create, but i haven't really made a part like that yet.

I have a time consuming problem that I was hoping a work-around or solution could be found for.
Some background: I use CorelDraw sort of as a CAD file creation software. The tool I use traces out straight, horizontal and vertical lines. At times, there are areas that need to be excluded being processed over, so my design has holes and gaps in it. The tricky part is, the tool I use needs time to accelerate up to full speed before I want it to start it's process. This requires that I add the same length to every single line in the layer (different layers need different added lengths). The problem that I run into, is that if I select multiple groups of lines that are not the same length and try to extend them, CorelDraw sees them as one group and extends the largest lines the right distance, but shorter lines get a different percentage of the distance, and gaps get shifted. I put in pictures of what I am talking about (a before, a good, and a bad).
can I select all the lines in a layer and tell CorelDraw to add X length to all of them, while keeping their center positions the same? It would save me a good deal of time.

Jan 22, 2010We are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
