I would like to create a pull-down menu so that everyone can select a specific client and have all of the client specific settings be automatically set up like template file location, client block libraries, etc.Â
We have a lot of users with varying amounts of experience and have had trouble with people using the wrong templates, blocks, etc. Is there a list of key-in commands where I can find what I need to add into the .cuix file? Is there an easier way to set up client standards without forcing users to use a specific workspace?
I work all across the country with different architects and engineers on a contract basis. Typically I create a custom menu that reflects each clients colors, symbols, layering ect. But now I have just upgraded to Acad 2012 and don't know how to create a custom menu in 2012 for each client. Is it even possible? What I have found is the customize button but when I modify a command for a specific client it makes the same change for all clients, as all that I was doing was modifying a workspace, and only modifying the command. What I have done in the past is to take the Acad.mns and copy it and rename it client-name-Acad.mns and make the necessary changes that the clients standards required. Can I still do something like that?
I created a linetype using text shape. Let’s say, that my line is only AAAAAA. Now when I apply this linetype in the drawing, the lines always have a small, line before and after the characters. Actually you see this: -AAAA- . How can I delete or hide the start and end lines.
So I have just finished up a project and now need to send the files (all of them, surfaces, alignments, corridor, construction documents, etc) to the client. Â What is the best way to do this?
I am confused because Civil3d uses Data references that are created based on a folder I specify which the client will not have access to and so on.Â
I opened my alignment file and did a DXFOUT than went ahead and opened that dxf and saw that there was nothing there?
Could they recreate the stuff I have done using DWFs?? or should I Etransmit?? or what other options do I have?
I work in a MEP engineering office. Any good method for sharing their architectural drawings (when the architect is using Project Navigator)? We do not use project navigator, and we do not want stripped-down architectural files.
What we need from the architects is their bases, title block, and their floor plan sheet layouts. Asking for this from some architects is fine, but others send me mounds of files, and I have to dig through and sort for what I want.
I am trying to batch plot to PDF's from a drawing file that has multiple tabs in it. I would like each tab to be a separate PDF file. We are utilizing Acrobat X to write the PDF's. AutoCAD places all of the tabs into one file whether I tell a Multi-sheet file or a Single-sheet file.Â

My job requires that we have no internet access. I currently deploy our clients using a cloning machine. I create a master image and clone to our clients with all applications installed.
I would like to be able to include the activation before I clone to the clients. I watched the video for AAMES and it mentioned about a workaround for cloned clients. It also said there was a video available on the topic.
How should I save edited photos for clients? Save as or Save for web and other devices? When I "save as" the client can't upload their photos into i Photo. When I "save for web and other devices" my resolution drops from 300 to 72? I am using JPG.

I'm shooting in both raw + jpeg..The reason is simple. I almost immediately send jpegs to my clients for a quick preview, and then I process the raw files.
In addition it has to be said that often the in camera processed jpeg has a very high quality standard and no further raw processing is required.I take a lot of time in popoluating the LR catalog with keywords, flags, ratings and so on. Â I would like to work only once in putting keywords, flags, pick/unpick and ratings to a shooting set. Then send a sub set of selected photos (according to some LR filtering) to my customer in JPG format, and start working on the raw files of this selection...The problem is that I would like to send to the customer not just a JPG conversion of the raw files, but the original JPEG generated by the camera, which is almost more "pop" and of impact than a JPG export done without spending time in tuning the export presets: the camera generated JPEG is normally better than any raw export made with basic settings. Â But I don't know how to do that because if I import in LR RAW + JPEG as separate entries I have to tag, flag, rate and keyword them twice. I have to put the same rating to the JPEG version and then to the RAW version. On the other hand, if I import them as a unique entry I get benefit in making the keywording flagging rating and tagging job only once per photo. But in this way, even if LR har information that the picture has a RAW and a JPEG, I completely loose access to the original camera generated JPEG file. Because when I export the output of a filtering selection I can choose to export as JPEG, but this is a new JPEG generation from the RAW, according to the develop settings that I may have or have not done, and if I export as original file I get only the RAW files, but no more the original camera generated JPEG files.
I am using AutoCAD 2011. Because when I typically draw a circle I use the center, diameter style to create a circle. The factory default is Center, Radius. I would like to make the center, diameter my default setting whenever I chose to draw a circle. I would like to know how to make that change then how do I get it onto a custom tool palette?
Whenever we use measure tool it will show the a dialog box with valves of x,y,z, delta X, delta Y & delta Z. I want to customize the same as per the attached image.
Customize this, dialog box will not disappear(modal) after entering into any other command so no need to remember the values of x,y....etc.
How can I customize the title block where it says Drawn, Checked and approved?
I want the dates with initials to place automatically. However, I want the date of approval and checked to be 2-5 days after the drawn date. (using Inventor pro. 2012)

ACAD 2007. I recently had to reload the stock ACAD 2007 interface.... I would like to customize my right click menu (when selecting any drawing space object) to display only clipboard and properties..... right now, when I right click it displays EVERYTHING!
I'm wondering, to what extent can I customise my shortcut keys on my keyboard? Example, currently AC has "C" set to CIRCLE, and "CO" or "CP" as COPY. Id like to assign "C" to COPY instead as I use it constantly and would work quicker this way. Is it possible?
It seems that a powerful tool like Lightroom (on top of a powerful Adobe suite) should allow a developer to import a client's catalog from Photoshop Elements on an external hard drive. Everything I've read in the support and forums indicate I need to have Photoshop Elements installed on my own machine, and that reading off a network drive is not possible.
In the I properties project tab I would like to change the "Stock Number" name to "A.R.M.-PN:". I need to reference 2 part numbers in my IPT I properties. This will then show up on the Parts List as a column which I can add. Or I would like to add a new dialog box to the "Project Tab". Is there a easy way to do this in 2011 Inventor Professional?
I have an embedded Excel file in my dwg file. Â I'd like to make it visible on the drawing. Â On the drawing though, it only displays however many rows existed when the sheet was inserted.
For example, when I clicked "Insert Object", only 1 row existed in the Excel sheet. Â I've now added 10 more rows, but still only the first row is visible. Â
How can I make the table on the drawing display the full view of the Excel file?
I am new to Civil 3D and need to customise the look of road profiles so they look like they were produced from any of our other civil design software packages that we use (to maintain standards between offices etc).
The attached picture is what I need them to look like. I want to show both the natural ground (the dotted line) and the design road line (solid). Then I want to write on the profile the station, natural level and the design level.
I've got the Mastering Civil 3D book (and a few others) sitting on my desk.I worked out how to turn off the grid on the default profile althoguh that was about it.
There are some problems while attaching xrefs in Autocad 2013 it shows "eduplicaterecords" error and "Invalid" while attaching manually. But the functionality is working good in Autocad 2012 and below editions of Autocad.
This error is getting resolved when i  use "audit" command for Autocad 2013. So i want to customize this command.
Background: Using a new release of 2014 out of the box. Made some changes to the .PGP file, created a custom palette and dragged some tools and gave them some standardized styles. Worked fine all day.Â
Problem: The next morning I booted up ACA and the menu ribbon failed to load. At the command prompts suggestion I tried CUILOAD. Got the dialog box, found the ACA.CUIX file, but despite pressing the LOAD button nothing happened.Â
Fix: I looked into the folder where the ACA.CUIX file was located (first folder on the support path), noticed there was a ACA.bak.CUIX file in the same folder. I renamed the ACA.CUIX file and then took the .bak "extension" off of the other file. Everything loads fine... except no customization.
Odd note: Last night, after I closed all my applications I went to shut down my computer and got Windows 7 version of the Blue Screen of Death. I immediately rebooted and all looked OK, but I did not start ACA. Not sure if related but just thought I mention it.
Request:Â Is there a special step that I missed when creating a custom palette that caused it not to reload?Â
I tried attaching the offending .CUIx file but the forum rejected it by stating "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type."
I know that the material list you get inside of the frame generator comes from CC, but is there a way to add other types of frame styles to the generator?
What I have is we need to create some Uni strut frames and this material is not in the frame generator and I would like it to be for the functionality that this tool brings.
Any way to add a new field into the materials database. We would like to be able to choose the material specification for the materials we use. So we would like to have a field for each of the materials where we could choose the material spec. It would also be great if we could then be able to connect this to our BOM. The second part I know should be able to be done but so far haven't found a way to add the material spec in like we would like.
