Arabic font in the AutoCAD,
I’m wondering why the Arabic fonts text appear correctly on the screen but when the they are printed then they are destroyed! Screenshot below.

i am trying to plot files that contain arabic font the problem is that i can see it on the screen correctly but when i plot it the letters seem to have spaces between them i tried plotting using different plotter types but it is the same story

We have a customer that sends us drawings with Arabic fonts that we sometimes need to edit and insert Arabic fonts. Is this possible in the English version of AutoCAD? If so, how do we go about loading Arabic fonts?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can go to Google Translate and type in a phrase and get it rendered into Arabic, and it looks correct. But when I copy and paste the Arabic characters into Illustrator, the letters that come out (using one of the many Arabic/Farsi fonts I have) aren't the same. It's as if you had "Mary Had A Little Lamb" in Arabic in Google Translate, but when you copy and paste you get "wblwevarrtblempswciartmfe" - total gibberish. I can paste it to a TextEdit file and it looks correct, just not when I paste it into Illustrator.
Here's a screen shot. At the top is a screen shot taken from having pasted it into a TextEdit file. The bottom is the exact same "paste" into Illustrator.

theres this one font, i want to post it, but i wouldnt even know if u guys would know what it is. is there a website for foreign font identifying?
I have previously laid out a book on InDesign CS5 using an arabic AXT font and my client came back to me with a few changes in the text. I have recently downloaded CC and when i open the file the type is highlighted in pink and the error mentions it's a glyph issue. The font is installed correctly and works fine in illustrator.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI created some graphics with text using Arial Narrow Bold in PS CS before I reformatted the HD on the same machine with the same XP OS disk. When I reinstalled Arial Narrow didn't appear in the Fonts list but was in the Windows Fonts List and available to other Folders. I am running XP, not Vista.I have tried dragging Arial Narrow into Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeFonts etc to no avail. I have also tried removing and reinstalling the Arial Narrow fonts without success. I have not worked out how to edit the Adobe Fonts File to include Arial Narrow.I have reinstalled CS, trialled CS3, and even reinstalled an earlier version of PS 7 which used to support Arial Narrow as a dedicated font, but not any more.Granted, in PS CS3 you can select Arial, then select <Narrow> in the adjacent drop down menu, but you can't select Arial Narrow Bold which makes it impossible to edit or alter the text in the earlier graphic that I created, something that is essential for either letterheads or business cards.If anybody has a fix on how to be able to create / edit / alter Arial Narrow Bold in either PS CS or PS7 I would be very grateful.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt some point - I'm not clear when - something changed with my fonts(Linux - Slackware64 13.1). Now I cannot select, for example, the boldor italic version of DejaVu Sans. The appear as Regular.
- I tried to install the newest package for the dejavu fonts,
- ran mkfontscale
- ran mkfontdir
- Though probably unnecessary, ran fc-cache
First tried to 'reload fonts' (button in fonts dialog) in Gimp, thentried to restart gimp entirely. (and from a terminal to check for anymessages with --verbose).
I have installed Corel Draw X5 on a machine running XP Home (SP3) that more than matches the minimum specs required.
Have been a user of Corel Draw since version 7,8, 9 and 12.
When I type text using any True Type Arabic fonts in Corel Draw X5 the text just appears as blank squares. If I apply an outline to the text then it appears fine but if I then try to edit the text it goes back to appearing as blank squares. (Square are not filled, just outlines). This happens when typing text as artistic text or paragraph text.
It is the same in the drop down list for selecting a font when previewing a font it just appears as blank squares.
I do not have this problem with Corel Draw 7,8 or 9. All my Arabic fonts appear fine in these earlier versions of Corel Draw and in other software. This problem first arose with Corel Draw 12 but I learn to live with it but am very disappointed it is still happening in X5.
On another note X5 appears to be not fit for purpose due to the number of problems I am and other users are having with it.

I’m wondering if there is a way to align texts in the AutoCAD with no work around. For example, in the ArcGIS we can select the texts and force the alignment.
Sure, in the AutoCAD, I can force the text to have the same x-coordinate to align them or other kind of work around, but why we don’t have this as a command like what we have in the ArcGIS?
Why the texts that have the same "Textstyle" don’t change as the settings of the style change?
For example, suppose that particular texts have the T1 as text style. Then why if we change the value of “paper text height” of the T1 then the texts (that belong to this style) don’t respond?
At the same time, this behavior is valid pertaining the dimension style, i.e, if we change the text height of the dimension style then the dimension text responds and is changed!

Is there any way to have 5 or so pre made text blocks to pick which to insert onto different types of drawings but that can be global used across a few systems? We have a small group of workers all on the vault server.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of our Autocad Map 3D 2011 users is having the problem that custom fonts aren't automatically loading anymore, and when they use a command that draws a line with a custom linetype it is always drawn as continuous. This is a recent problem and the fonts used to load automatically as well as the linetypes drawn correctly. It isn't a problem with the linetypes not being loaded in the drawing because after using the custom command they are able to go to the layer and change the linetype to the correct one fixing the problem.

The first, if i have created many annotative dimensions and texts and with the time many scales get attached to these objects during editing ( the scales which i don't use on my layouts anymore but have used on these objects ones) How can I quickly and efficiently delete all the scales that are not in use on my layouts in my viewports for all the annotative objects?

I just switched over from 2005 to 2012. In 2005 I used Express Tools to change several lines of text to one mtext object. I can't find it in 2012. I didn't realize how much I used it until I lost it.

When I open a text box and type all of the fonts are all basically the same. They donot display correctly. I uninstalled and re-installed photoshop elements 11 and they still do not work.

I was able to view the same drawing under a different login and found it was the drawing is in Gray Scale when printing (but not viewing). How do I change the settings on the drawing to print out full color

FontNav is still not showing all fonts correctly. My screen grab shows FN displaying Cambria without regular which as you can see from the CDraw window behind is definitely there on my system. At least now FN isn't preventing the font styles it can't see being used.
I have the latest update 3 of x6 and have deleted and remade FN's font database. The problem appears both on my Win7 64bit desktop and Win7 32bit laptop.
So I use a seperate program outside AutoCAD to create my 3d models - do a high quality raytrace and get a really nic, clean, image. When I put the image into autocad to use in my drawing sets, the image loses its clarity and the edges look a bit jagged.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs you can see in the attached images their are tiny black holes that appear on the plotted pdf that are not there in paper space. I use the 3d clip command for my viewports to split up the tower into sections. The only thing I can think of is that for some odd reason when plotted the plot routine picks up these bolt holes that are suppose to be clipped out. how to prevent this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

Is it possible to have model space geometry print through a watermark in the layout? My watermark consists of mtext with an arial font placed manually in the layout. It is on it's own layer which is set to print at Shade 40 (plot style tables). Draworder works with other layout objects but not the geometry from the model space viewport. My watermark covers the model space geometry so it is not visible when printed. Is this possible?

I have tried to repair the installed framework 4 with no success. I have tried all of this with my antivirus turned off and I have tried to use Microsoft fixit along with running Ccleaner registry fix.643 Error.
