Feb 20, 2014I have previously laid out a book on InDesign CS5 using an arabic AXT font and my client came back to me with a few changes in the text. I have recently downloaded CC and when i open the file the type is highlighted in pink and the error mentions it's a glyph issue. The font is installed correctly and works fine in illustrator.

May 15, 2010I have installed Corel Draw X5 on a machine running XP Home (SP3) that more than matches the minimum specs required.
Have been a user of Corel Draw since version 7,8, 9 and 12.
When I type text using any True Type Arabic fonts in Corel Draw X5 the text just appears as blank squares. If I apply an outline to the text then it appears fine but if I then try to edit the text it goes back to appearing as blank squares. (Square are not filled, just outlines). This happens when typing text as artistic text or paragraph text.
It is the same in the drop down list for selecting a font when previewing a font it just appears as blank squares.
I do not have this problem with Corel Draw 7,8 or 9. All my Arabic fonts appear fine in these earlier versions of Corel Draw and in other software. This problem first arose with Corel Draw 12 but I learn to live with it but am very disappointed it is still happening in X5.
On another note X5 appears to be not fit for purpose due to the number of problems I am and other users are having with it.

Apr 1, 2012i want to know if their is a solution for files MOV H264 60 fps, because when i previsualize clib : no probleme, and in project windows the sound is correct but video completly slow. I have the same probleme on vs x3 and vs x5 ultimate... in the publicity of vs x5 ultimate it is write that input video h264, quicktime, but i think it is ONLY in 30 fps ! but not in 50/60 fps ! i wait answer from corel.. because the technical support said this input isn't supported in vs x5 !

Apr 26, 2010When I found that X2 totally cannot handle my 720p clips, I upgraded to X3, and was happy to see that all my 1280x720p 60fps clips can be imported without a hint of complaints from X3.
However, as I started working with those clips, something does not work quite right.The main issue is that I could not get smooth slow motion out of those clips. 60fps clips when played at half speed should give you very smooth slow motion at 30fps. Instead, it stutters badly.
On further investigation of a straight render 60fps video output from VS with no changes made, I found where the problem was.VideoStudio coverted the 1280x720p 60fps clips to 30fps when importing the file. So every other frame from the 60fps clip is dropped, and previous frame duplicated.
Interestingly, it does NOT do this with 1080p 60fps file. You can get very smooth half speed playback at 30fps, even though you cannot create a 1080p 60fps output file.
Do I have to wait for X4 for proper 720p 60fps support?

Aug 7, 2011Any way reducing the number of fonts Videostudio offers? Many are so similar to each other there is little point in having the variety. Only about half in the list show examples of their style and many are not suitable for video, so there are a lot to click through and try when looking for something a bit different. I think, of the hundreds available, I would consider using only about 30. I am reluctant to completely get rid of most of them but it would save a lot of time if I could sort through them once initially and cull them into a group suitable for use in VS [and have VS offer only those].

I think you should read the original mail again. Hint: "system fonts not shown" is not the problem, but the desired outcome.I have accidentally read a "not" into the original mail, thus it became "to get Gimp to *not* only show fonts from the user/fonts file"
The configuration to check is the fonconfig settings then, for example the the global, system-wide fonts.conf file. It may contain references to the global font directories, for example /usr/share/fonts/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. URL....
If you comment those out, then you can (and have to) add all font directories in GIMP's settings, for example.

Oct 9, 2012Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?

The one on top is normal, the one on bottom I tried messing with the horizontal spacing but it just shows a white space where they are supposed to connect. Any help would he really appreciated. Illustrator :: Arabic In CS6 In Not Working?
Feb 28, 2014I downloaded CS6 MENA version (invoice above) and it was working fine, up until today. Now the arabic settings are not showing in Illustrator - I can't change the orientation of the text and the text is not joined. I checked the "about Illustrator" drop box and it doesn't specify that this is the MENA version. I checked Indesign, it doesn't have the probelm with Arabic text and the "about Indesign" section says that it is the MENA version.

I got Arabic fully enabled in Photoshop – but not in InDesign and Illustrator.
I don't find the options as described in the document above; text direction, character direction, left-bounded pages (in InDesign), and so on...
Is it possible that these feature are not integrated in the current version of CS6 or do I miss some hidden preferences (like in Photoshop the "Middle Eastern" text engine option?

but I see in the finall releas.. this option has been unebabled..
so now I cannot type in arabic ?!
