I made a drop down menu for offset commands back on a 2010 version. I wish to bring it over but I'm having a bit of trouble. I have read through and watched a few videos and they all tell me the same thing. Go into the CUI, click on Load Partial Customized File. I do this, select my cui file and I get an error that says:
Partial customization file cannot have the same Customization Group Name as the main customization file.
The name of my file is OFFSET MENU. I'm running 2012 version and I have finally gotten almost everything setup except for this.
I'm able to add custom panels/buttons into the Ribbons, by cloning the existing ribbon (from acade.cuix) into my partial cuix. However.. I'm not able to add more commands to the shortcut menus, using the same technique.
Is it possible to add custom commands to existing shortcut menus using a partial cuix?
how to make a partial open (saddled) and partial box (housed) stringer?
The only difference is that the open treads do not extend but are the same length as the box treads.Partial_Open_into_Box_Stair.gif Using Autocad Architecture 2012.
I currently click on a shape to see the grips. Then I put the cursor on a grip and see a window open that gives me the options of Stretching a vertex, Adding a vertex, or Removing a vertex. Is there a way when adding a vertex that you can add Mulitple vertexs without having to click on add vertex every time.
I would like to add text to my dimension but as I have overridden my FONTALT variable it does not display. The dimension on the LHS is exactly the same as the one on the RHS (during edit). Neither will display the text I want which in this instance is WEB.
I have a drawing with the x and y as grid references, I have an excel spreadsheet with point information with grid references which are within the range on the drawing. How do I put the excell info onto the drawing?
Adding contour lines to a map? I entered roughly 200 points (x, y, and z values) into an x-y plane on AutoCAD and figured that if I were to add contour lines (1' elevation difference), it would rely on the z axis. In short: how do I add contour lines if the points are all plotted?

I just wanted to add some materials to my objects and it seems some menu entries on Toolpalettes are missing (masonry etc.). I installed the full version of AutoCAD 2012 and also downloaded some additional material libraries. I'm attaching some screenshots of missing menu items and a screenshot of installed items in control panel.
I am trying to add a table that I can edit like an attribute but have it in a block, Basically I am trying to put information for all the poles in an electrical panel, but im not using MV parts just a block is there anything that can be recommended in this instance.
Just another note I need to reference 72 poles and 5 colums for each of these.
how to add, in this case the "Dashed2" Linetype, to my drop down selections and have it stay there pernamently? I know how to add it but every time I start a new drawing it is missing again.
I'm editing blueprints for my summer job and I was wondering if there was a way to add a text field to the hover over menu of a region or polyline. I simply want to add the function of the room to the hover menu.
I checked a couple of old posts looking for a lisp routine that will count the number of lines and list each different length either in a dialog box or txt file. I am working on an estimate and I have a floor plan of owsj of different lengths. I downloaded the tlen.lsp but that is only giving the total number of joists and the total length.
I am looking for a lisp so that I can window all the owsj at once and have it list or show the result for the joist in this manner
sample output:
xx joists = 10'-0" xx joists = 20'-0" xx joists = 30'-0"
We have a person in the office that would like to create their own .ctb file that we would like to have them to access but they will also need to access our .ctb files (Standard). We currently restrict access to the .ctb files as they can be alterered leading to problems for everyone printing. Is there a way to create another path so they we can have a locked folder of .ctb files and an unlocked folder for .ctb files.
how to create a customized scale bar, I scale through viewports but some authoritys insist on a scale bar when its not the norm, I need to create a 1:75 and a 1:30, basically the method to make whatever scale I need.
I try to load my menu at application start. But I can't see this menu in the menu bar after start. I see menu only after I "reload" current workspace in user interface customization dialog.
const String myCuiFile = @"D:Visual Studio 2005ProjectsAutoCAD 2008Cuisits.cui"; public void Initialize() { String currentWorkSpace = (String)Application.GetSystemVariable("WSCURRENT"); CustomizationSection acadCustomSection = new CustomizationSection((String)Application.GetSystemVariable("MENUNAME") + ".cui"); if (acadCustomSection.PartialCuiFiles.Contains(myCuiFile) == false)
I'm trying to run my cleanup script on a set of drawings just received from a consultant. Unfortunately every time a DWG is opened the purge fails with:
PURGE cannot be used on partially opened drawings.
Now to get the file opened NON-partially, I have to first open as partial and click the "Load All" button and "Yes" to bloodywell open it normally. Then the purge actually "works".
This needs to be done manually. Yet even after I've done this and then saved the DWG again, another normal open again gives the same error about Purge not allowed.
how to get the DWG to open non-partially when I'm running my SCR? I don't want to clean the 80+ drawings manually.
I am trying to create new custom menu and toolbar in autocad 2010 using VB.NET / C#. I tried the below URL for adding existing toolbar and menu. But i need to create new one.
