After Effects :: CS6 Crashes Using Mavericks
Oct 28, 2013i updated my work computer to the new Maverick OS update. Everytime i open an After Effects project up over the server it crashes. I never had this problem before and until after i installed Mavericks.

Photoshop :: CC Crashes On Launch With Mavericks
Oct 26, 2013I have two Macs, a late 2012 MacBook Pro and a 2009 iMac, both installed with Creative Cloud and running Mavericks. The MBP is doing great. No issues whatsoever, and it is my main machine these days.
However, Photoshop CC is crashing on launch on the iMac every time. I can't use it at all there. Here is the top of the crash log, leaving off everything from "Binary Images:" on...

Photoshop :: Using Creative Cloud Since Mavericks Update
Nov 12, 2013Using Adobe Creative Cloud since upgrading to Mavericks? I have a Mac Pro at work and everything runs smoothly on that but my 2nd license on my home iMac doesn't work properly. Photoshop won't open and constantly freezes, dreamweaver won't open at all and Premiere is hit and miss whether it opens or not. Creative cloud isn't cheap it should work by now!

Dec 10, 2013I subscribe to Digital Photo magazine, from England. They supply a CD with every issue. I attempted to read in a .jpg file directly in the PSE 12 editor. PSE consistently crashes as soon as I start the process. I tried the same process on PSE 10 and 11 with the same result. I then took the CD on my Windows 7 system, which also has the save versions of PSE. On Windows 7 the process works without a hitch.
Workaround. If I import the file from the CD while in PSE 12 organizer, highlight the file and then invoke the editor, it works fine. I do NOT want to use a workaround. This should work AND in no event should the system crash.
NOTE: I have submitted the crash reports to both Apple and Adobe without getting any response.
Premiere Pro :: CC Crashes On Mavericks After Relocating User Profile
Jan 10, 2014Slowly but surely my OSX environment is being extricated from the absolute lunacy that every file used by any application had to reside on the machine's root drive. Adobe Premiere Pro, for example, created a $USER/Documents/Adobe subdirectory where it stored my profile information. I attempted to move that profile information to a network drive and to use an alias to point $USER/Documents/Adobe at $NETWORK_DRIVE/Adobe. Now Adobe Premiere Pro CC crashes on startup. I have attempted to trash my preference (deleting the 7.0 subfolder of the Adobe/Premiere Pro folder).

– I've installed CS6 OK.
– I'm trying to patch it to 11.0.4, message keeps saying "Adobe Application Manager is damaged or missing, please reinstall"
– I've tried loads of ways to remedy this; CC cleaner, surgical removal and reinstallation of all Adobe files in various order, silent installs, all kinds of permissions repairs and adjustments, reinstalling AAM, installing AAM for volume licensing, studying the PDApp.log, install and crash logs,
I've considered wiping my entire system and trying to downgrade to Mac OS 10.8 in order to get my CS6 back up and running

Feb 2, 2014I am trying to install After Effects 12.2 for the first time on my MBP. I am running Mavericks. AE installs from the CC app just fine. But when I open AE I get the message:
"The application “Adobe After Effects CC” can’t be opened. -10810"
I've uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled many times. With the same result. I'm pretty sure my system is capable, albeit on the low end of performance. I'm only planning to use AE for some timelapse tutorials.

Feb 25, 2013On my PC (Windows 7) Photoshop CS6 has been crashing since updating though Adobe Application Manager a couple of days ago. What is the best practice to uninstall and reinstall PS? I've had serious issues uninstalling before, so it's not necessarily a simple answer.
I also use the Adobe programs on a Mac and I found it odd that Adobe told me all the applications needed updating when I checked on my Windows 7 system, but said they were all up to date on my Mac (an hour later).

Dec 31, 2012Right now I can't even open Photoshop however before I updated it would open. Now it is crashing on start-up. Also during the updated this error happened:

Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7
Some additional information I've noticed is that the blue background of the launch screen has suddenly become transparent. Some things I've tried to fix it are clearing cache and cleaning bad font.
However I was hoping to work on a project with it. Is there anything else I could try without resorting to uninstalling and re-installing it? At this time I don't have a way to re-install it as it's a company's version.
This was not happening before the updated was installed. Had I known the updated would cause the program to crash I would not have installed it.

Nov 4, 2013I just rendered a video last week with no issues. I updated After Effects CC a few days ago and now my PC shuts off about half way through a render. It is only a ten second clip with very little effects in it.
I have tried different video formats and codecs, I also tried to render the project in Media Encoder and Premiere Pro...the same result. My system is fine and I was rendering videos no problem until this update. Can we roll back updates?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Crashes When Opening File After Silverfast Update
Jul 26, 2013After updating silverfast software to a newer version then SF-8.0.1r24(AFL)_x86, Corel X5 and X6 did crash when opening a file.
It didn't uninstall Silverfast or to reiinstall Corel X5 or X6.
Only reloading th whole computer (Windows 7 Pro) from an earlier image did work. But when installing the silverfast Update, the same thing happened.
Silverfast says, they don't install anything into Corel suite. I should ask Corel about the problem ...
Everything else keeps running fine after the silverfast update.
After Effects :: 12.1 Crashes On Start Up?
Nov 1, 2013I just installed the 12.1 update of After Effects, and now I can't open the program. When I try to start up AE, I get the error message:
After Effects warning: Could not rename the file '/Users/USERNAME/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/12.1/Workspaces. 773.1407350999826081.xml' to 'workspaces.xml'.
I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling AE. Same problem.
After Effects :: DVCPro HD Render Wrong After Update To 12.1?
Nov 12, 2013rendering out of After Effects CC 12.1 as DVCpro HD 1080i60 is showing up as the wrong aspect ratio, it renders out as 1888 x1062. Before the update to After Effects CC 12.1 it was working/rendering completely fine as 1280 x1080.
Take a DVCPRO HD 1080 comp, render it and it renders as 1888 x1062, not 1280 x1080 like it did before. And the strange thing, if I re-import that rendered clip into AE, it will see it as 1280 x1080 (1.50), but if I open that clip up in Quicktime, it will see it only as 1888 x1062 ?? Again, before the update to 12.1 even quicktime would see it correctly as 1280 x1080. Something in the header info in quicktime is now wrong and it won't read it correctly. We have a piece of gear that i need to send files to as dvcpro hd 1280 x1080 and it won't even take them anymore because the quicktime header or something is wacky. (yes the gear i'm sending to is weird, and strange we send it that format, don't ask, I know)
I've tired rendering/exporting out of media encoder and premiere since the update and it's the same thing. Even rendering from AE and forcing it to resize in the render queue won't work.... it still shows up as 1888 x1062. Errr So I'm not sure where to start looking to fix the problem? Is it happening because of the Adobe update to 12.1, is it a quicktime issue or is it my Calibrated software for DVCpro on windows..... I don't know? I just know it was all working great before this latest update and now it's not.

After Effects :: 12.2 Update And Drag N Drop Import
Dec 17, 2013the 12.2 update seems to have disabled the very basic function of drag n drop a folder to import. i cannot grab a folder containing an image sequence, or any folder of images, in either mac or windows, drag to the project window in after effects and import the files. when a folder is dropped into the project window, nothing happens. what's happened? am i missing something somewhere? i love the new feature of the output module to auto create a folder when rendering image sequences, but disabling drag n drop seems really counter-productive.
