Nov 2, 2013I've recently updated my Mac OS to 10.9. Ever since, Photoshop will launch but as soon as I hit new or file open Photoshop (CS5) crashes.

Photoshop :: CS6 Crashes Since Update
Feb 25, 2013On my PC (Windows 7) Photoshop CS6 has been crashing since updating though Adobe Application Manager a couple of days ago. What is the best practice to uninstall and reinstall PS? I've had serious issues uninstalling before, so it's not necessarily a simple answer.
I also use the Adobe programs on a Mac and I found it odd that Adobe told me all the applications needed updating when I checked on my Windows 7 system, but said they were all up to date on my Mac (an hour later).

Dec 31, 2012Right now I can't even open Photoshop however before I updated it would open. Now it is crashing on start-up. Also during the updated this error happened:
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.3
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7
Some additional information I've noticed is that the blue background of the launch screen has suddenly become transparent. Some things I've tried to fix it are clearing cache and cleaning bad font.
However I was hoping to work on a project with it. Is there anything else I could try without resorting to uninstalling and re-installing it? At this time I don't have a way to re-install it as it's a company's version.
This was not happening before the updated was installed. Had I known the updated would cause the program to crash I would not have installed it.

There seems to be no consistency in the crashes. They happen on things such as changing tools, transforms, moving, zooming in... etc, but always with some action involved.

Sep 2, 2012I am having periodic OpenGL crashes since the 13.0.1 Photoshop update this week. I am running the current 301.42 Nvidia drivers on a GTX550Ti card. There were no driver crashes in the 3 months before the update and the Nvidia driver was the same driver during this entire period.

Jul 26, 2013After updating silverfast software to a newer version then SF-8.0.1r24(AFL)_x86, Corel X5 and X6 did crash when opening a file.
It didn't uninstall Silverfast or to reiinstall Corel X5 or X6.
Only reloading th whole computer (Windows 7 Pro) from an earlier image did work. But when installing the silverfast Update, the same thing happened.
Silverfast says, they don't install anything into Corel suite. I should ask Corel about the problem ...
Everything else keeps running fine after the silverfast update.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Material Favorites Does Not Update When Update Materials
Dec 9, 2013I made a change to my materials library. I changed the color (from dark grey to light grey) of one material. I then saved this back to my library.
Now, when I start a new part, I get a warning that the material does not match the library. So, rather than using the material in the part, I opened the template and updated the material to match the library. (Manage >Update Styles).
This is where the problems come into play. In the update styles dialog, if I compare materials against my custom materials and then compare it to my Favorites, it just a continuious circle. It is like the favorites are stored inside the part and do not get updated to match the custom materials library. (I thought the whole idea behind using a library was to get the information out of the parts).

The only way I can get the favorites to match is to delete the favorite material, update the style and the add the favorite back in. That is a bunch of work. The problem I got with this is that there are thousands of parts that have been created that has this favorite in it. The only way to update these is to open each part (if I knew which one), delete the favorite, update the materials and then add the favorite back in.
I see the same thing in 2013 and 2014.

The example would be that I have stuff made from way back that the colors/dimension sytles ect dont match the current standard and upon opening a file where they are not current, it would either prompt to update immediatly OR update automatically with no prompting (preferred method).
I am doing a massive amount of updates from old files recently and to save myself 1 - 3 clicks per drawing would be wonderful.

Dec 20, 2012I downloaded the 13.0.3 update through Adobe application manager and things go well until a few seconds are left to the update and I get update not applied with an error code of U44M2P7. I went to the Adobe site and downloaded the update and tried a manual install with the same exact results. I did an online Chat and they want me to un-install CS6 and use a creative suites cleaner tool and trash the Adobe application manager and then re-install CS6 13.0.3 and download a new application manager. I am very reluctant to go through all this grief and thought I would get some opinions first.
I am running OS 10.7.5. I have done nothing major to my Mac Pro Desktop. I have upgraded CS6 and bridge before through Adobe application manager with no issues. I have CS6 and Lightroom 4 installed on my computer and nothing else. If I have to go this route, is the creative suite cleaner tool worth using? Also I have never downloaded any beta versions of Photoshop or Lightroom.

Mar 19, 2009Just updated, and know PS4 locks up when trying to do any kind of Transform on a layer. Not that big an image (about 20MB). This is happening on my desktop box, and same thing happens on my Thinkpad laptop.
PS4 starts hogging all the cpu cycles (up to 90%), and I can't get out of it. Won't close. I have to nuke it thru killing the process entirely.
Plenty of memory in both machines. Running ATI 512MB X1650 Pro in desktop, ATI 256MB V5250 FireGL in laptop; both running latest ATI 9.2 drivers.
I also have noticed that when I pick a brush, the cursor leaves a blank space on the screen that redraws when pic is changed. Been this way since original load of CS4.
Video performance needs to get fixed.
