View 5 Repliesi just noticed that there is no manual update file for ACR 7.2. most of our company computers are offline.
how should we update them without a manual update file?

adobes says the final ACR 7.2 update is available through the CS6 update.well that is of no use when you have offline computers. This update will be released as manual update file too?! any infos?
When transfering images from Lightroom to Photoshop HDR for instance. message says update Camera Raw. Update attempts all come back to 'update server is not in service' --

I made a change to my materials library. I changed the color (from dark grey to light grey) of one material. I then saved this back to my library.
Now, when I start a new part, I get a warning that the material does not match the library. So, rather than using the material in the part, I opened the template and updated the material to match the library. (Manage >Update Styles).
This is where the problems come into play. In the update styles dialog, if I compare materials against my custom materials and then compare it to my Favorites, it just a continuious circle. It is like the favorites are stored inside the part and do not get updated to match the custom materials library. (I thought the whole idea behind using a library was to get the information out of the parts).
Here is a short video showing what it does. [URL] .....
The only way I can get the favorites to match is to delete the favorite material, update the style and the add the favorite back in. That is a bunch of work. The problem I got with this is that there are thousands of parts that have been created that has this favorite in it. The only way to update these is to open each part (if I knew which one), delete the favorite, update the materials and then add the favorite back in.
I see the same thing in 2013 and 2014.
I am wondering if it is possible to do a style update (or style update check) upon open of a drawing?
The example would be that I have stuff made from way back that the colors/dimension sytles ect dont match the current standard and upon opening a file where they are not current, it would either prompt to update immediatly OR update automatically with no prompting (preferred method).
I am doing a massive amount of updates from old files recently and to save myself 1 - 3 clicks per drawing would be wonderful.
Lightroom 3 suggests, when opening a image in Photoshop CS5, that I should update Photoshop to Raw 7. When I click on Updates in Photoshop it says tehre are no updates.
How do I upgrade RAW 6.6 to 7?
For some reason, my Photoshop CS6 will NOT update. I have a Mac Pro with Mountain Lion installed. I've tried uninstalling all of CS6 and reinstalling, to no avail. No matter what I do when checking for updates in Photoshop CS6 (13.0), it tells me there are no updates available. I'm not getting notifications on Camera Raw Updates, either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the 13.0.3 update through Adobe application manager and things go well until a few seconds are left to the update and I get update not applied with an error code of U44M2P7. I went to the Adobe site and downloaded the update and tried a manual install with the same exact results. I did an online Chat and they want me to un-install CS6 and use a creative suites cleaner tool and trash the Adobe application manager and then re-install CS6 13.0.3 and download a new application manager. I am very reluctant to go through all this grief and thought I would get some opinions first.
I am running OS 10.7.5. I have done nothing major to my Mac Pro Desktop. I have upgraded CS6 and bridge before through Adobe application manager with no issues. I have CS6 and Lightroom 4 installed on my computer and nothing else. If I have to go this route, is the creative suite cleaner tool worth using? Also I have never downloaded any beta versions of Photoshop or Lightroom.
How can I update to Photoshop 14.1.2 on Mac? I've checked my CC panel, in the Photoshop via Updates drop-down menu, deleting the cache and suggested files from the articles on other forums, ending up reinstalling the entire suite, but still no success. Stuck with 14.0. Do you offer an offline installer that I can download instead?

View 34 Replies View RelatedJust updated, and know PS4 locks up when trying to do any kind of Transform on a layer. Not that big an image (about 20MB). This is happening on my desktop box, and same thing happens on my Thinkpad laptop.
PS4 starts hogging all the cpu cycles (up to 90%), and I can't get out of it. Won't close. I have to nuke it thru killing the process entirely.
Plenty of memory in both machines. Running ATI 512MB X1650 Pro in desktop, ATI 256MB V5250 FireGL in laptop; both running latest ATI 9.2 drivers.
I also have noticed that when I pick a brush, the cursor leaves a blank space on the screen that redraws when pic is changed. Been this way since original load of CS4.
Video performance needs to get fixed.
I currently have cs3, is there an update I can get for cs4

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm on the latest version of CS6 and since the last update (7.3) I've noticed that the JPG's won't open up without going through ACR first. I don't have the box checked in Preferences that states that JPG's can open up with a double click in ACR. If I want a JPG to open up in ACR, I right mouse click and choose ACR. The only way to get a photo to open up in PS without going through ACR first is to have it as a PSD. It doesn't matter where the photo comes from for this to happen.
I have been scanning in a lot of old snap shots and when I click on the scanned photo that needs to go through the Automate to separate and straighten, I have to go through ACR first, then open it in PS, do the automation and save as a PSD. Then I can do the rest of the restorations in PS.
These old photos don't need to be 30-100 mg and be saved as PSD's. JPG's are just fine. This didn't happen until the last update. I'm on an iMac with plenty of storage space and RAM memory.
I run the Adobe Cloud Cleaner. I uninstalled Photoshop from my Windows 8 system and opened the Cleaner. I was asked questions via a small window - it wasn't possible to enlagre the window to see all the texts.
I entered the y to all and I waited until it finished cleaning. It reported that there were issues but didn't explain further. I noticed that the Creative Cloud Manager icon had disappeared so I tried to download Photoshop CC but it failed.
Now I have work backing up!
I received a message that an Adobe Raw update was available. I started the update and it told me to close PS CS6 which I did.
I restarted the update and it continues to give me the message to close CS6 even though it is already closed. I tried rebooting and had no affect on this problem.
I have a fully licensed version of CS6, along with LR 4.x. LR updated to Camera Raw 7.2 about a week ago. PS CS6 (extended 64) will not find the update. It is a pain in my sitter every time I go to edit a photo to see a warning.
I do not want to hide the warning though. I want the update. Adobe has about an hour wait time for technical support. A reinstall is not something I would like to do.
Trying to upload camera raw update for photoshop CS5 and the installer asks me to close the Bridge, I do this and press continue and the installer asks me to close bridge again, even though its closed...Need this update to recognise my a65 camera.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI ran the Update option once, mainly to get the ACR 8.2 version. It looked like all the files downloaded successfully and that the update process started. Then nothing.
- Clicking Update has no effect. There are absolutely no error messages.
- Downloading the ACR 8.2 file and trying to run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe file does nothing.
- Removing the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) Cache accomplished nothing.
- Trying to run the AAM does nothing.
A popup message just informed me that there are 9 Adobe updates available and to launch AAM. Which, of course, accomplishes nothing.A support person on Live Chat said this is a known issue.I'm running Win7 Pro, SP1, 64-bit, 8Gb RAM, GeForce GT 630 Nvidia chipset graphics card.
