Mar 19, 2013Unhide a layer to find that the geometry has screwed up possible verts shooting off into the distance. If so is it something i'm doing wrong or is MAX being random again???

Aug 14, 2013I need to animate the hide and unhide of a set of objects, I know I can use the visibility track to do this, but I have two issues with this, one, this will not hide it from the view while animating or looking at it in wireframe, which makes it difficult since I'm doing some previz and I need the object gone from the wireframe view... Two, there is an object (I bought them) that refuses to take the visibility track coming from the master object, and it does not have its own one, so I don't have a clue why it ignores it.
Also know that I can suddenly move the object out of the camera view, but was trying to see if there was something a bit more elegant than this, a script to animate the hide and unhide of a groped object would be the ideal thing, but searching the web for it didn't return anything useful.
Revit :: Unhide A Note Schedule On Sheet?
Jun 13, 2013I have a student who added Note Schedules on a Sheet, then right clicked on one of them and "Hide in View-Element". Now it shows on the Properties as being on the Sheet, but we can't seem to Unhide it.

Apr 5, 2012If you have a look at the attachment you will see that many of the labels for risers have their text labels hidden, if you highlight you can see that the riser label block is highlighted as well as the hidden text. If you click on them you are able to modify the text but I have been unable to work out how to make the labels appear in this drawing.
If I cut and paste into another document I can get the label to appear but I can not work out how to make the labels appear in this document.

Jun 10, 2013I just bought the Intuos5 tablet and am now setting it up to work properly. It apparently has some issues with non-US keyboards and requires some shortcut remapping. Which wouldn't be a problem (I got brush size working), if only I could find the place where the layer cycling shortcuts are hidden.
I see this might be a rather dumb question, but I went through the Edit->Keyboard Shortcut menus multiple times and just couldn't find what I was looking for. is it possible to make Canvas Rotation seamless and not only by 90 degrees in CS2?

There is an excellent script available for Photoshop which allows you to not only replace words in layer names, but also insert words as Prefixes, Suffixes and Sequential Numbers. The illustrator version of this script only allows sequential numbering: It doesn't offer find and replacing of words.
Ideally, it would be great if there was something that could do multiple find and replaces in one go:
(E.g.
You have layers like this Car, Dog, Bat
You enter: car(Option1), dog(Option2), Bat(Option3)
Your layers then become: Option1, Option2, Option3).
)

Aug 28, 2012i have gotten a drawing from another user and have managed to purge all of thier layers except for one. I have deleted everything out of the drawing, done "select all" numerous times and deleted, but this layer still won't let itself be deleted. I have made sure it is not the current layer, w blocked the whole drawing etc. There was an ole image in this drawing at some stage, could that have left this horrible layer "25L"???

Photoshop Elements :: 12 Hides Panasonic RAW Files - Unhide The Files?
Jan 2, 2014PSE 12 has a new feature under Preferences/Camera or Card Reader called "Alutomatically Stack RAW and JPEG." Checking this will stack a RAW & JPEG file combination, i.e., when shooting with the camera's RAW + JPEG setting checked. In my case PSE 12 appears to stack my Panasonic RAW files and each JPEG thumbnail shows the right facing arrow to expand the stack. When I click the arrow the arrow disappears but the stack does not expand to reveal the RAW file. The RAW file still exists on the hard drive, but I can't find any way to reveal it in PSE (I've not tried to re-import the RAW files because there are a lot of files in a lot of folders.) This is rather critical and needs to be fixed.

3ds Max :: Extract Splines From Geometry
Apr 29, 2011i used to do a lot of spline extracting from geometry, mostly to use sweep modifier to modeling. But i usualy got a problem when i do that, some of the splines are "flipped" (or reversed), causing a problem in sweep geometry. In attached image, i extracted the splines from the faces below, and when i apllied the sweep, some of the splines get a different result. I tried to collapse the spline, reverse, flip the geometry normals, reset xform, create another spline and attach the extracted one, and nothing solved the problem. What i usualy do is to detach part of the spline and apply the modifier twice.

My machine takes a 2D flat pattern to create the part but i need to model the geometry in 3D for other purposes. I have been using Solidworks the "wrap" feature, but its inconvenient to jump between software platforms.
