Hide/unhide commands,
I’m not sure if there is a way to unhide particular “elements” out of those hidden elements. The “unhide” command shows ALL the hidden elements.
Is there a way to unhide particular hidden elements?

View 1 Replies View RelatedPSE 12 has a new feature under Preferences/Camera or Card Reader called "Alutomatically Stack RAW and JPEG." Checking this will stack a RAW & JPEG file combination, i.e., when shooting with the camera's RAW + JPEG setting checked. In my case PSE 12 appears to stack my Panasonic RAW files and each JPEG thumbnail shows the right facing arrow to expand the stack. When I click the arrow the arrow disappears but the stack does not expand to reveal the RAW file. The RAW file still exists on the hard drive, but I can't find any way to reveal it in PSE (I've not tried to re-import the RAW files because there are a lot of files in a lot of folders.) This is rather critical and needs to be fixed.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIn 2008, never had this issue.Just dumb, circles, and lines in a view port, that have hidden or center linetyoes assigned to them. When we go to plot using legacy hidden (this new for 2012?) the plot comes out with continuous lines. These are not solids. Just ordinary line entities.Now, when I change the shadeplot to "hidden" the linetype is shown correctly, but now my entities are coloured, when I just want my drawing to be black and white (going to PDF), even though all of the colours in the pen style are set to "Black".
Has this changed? Is there a new variable introduced?
I'm drawing objects (walls, platforms, etc.) in 3d made up primarily of extruded polygons. I want to be able to plot these objects in a way that hides all of the lines which are obscured by other objects. Currently I have my viewports set up with a 2D Wireframe visual style and a Hidden shade plot. This isn't working for me. I'm still getting all of the lines in the drawing visible no matter what.
Here's the strange thing: It seems to work perfectly fine in plan view, but not in front view. Also, it's worked fine in the past. It seems that the problem has gotten progressively worse over the past year or so.
I'm using AutoCAD 2008.
Has dealt with imaginary squares that don't show up until printing? I have some that show up everytime I print the sheets out. They are not visible until printing to plotter or making a .pdf. See attached example with red callout boxes.

Im trying to make a linetype that is hidden with text in it. Is that possible? Ive got all my linetypes customized with text, but trying to make them on a hidden linetype is tricking me.

Is there a way to make that hidden existing surface, show up on the profile view?

I am working in C3D 2012.
We run 2012 Civil 3D. We recently loaded an application which provides tabs of mutiple open drawings at the top of the page so you can easily switch between drawings.
I typically dock my Object Properties Window on the left side of my window. Once we added the application, I can no longer access my Object Properties window. It is slightly visible within the window where the drawing tabs are. However, it is only 2 -3 lines of the window.
I cannot drag the properties window to another location.
I tried removing the application for the drawing tabs. However, then I cannot access the properties window at all. It says it opens and closes but it is hidden.
I attached a screen shot to try to show the problem. The properties window can be seen in the top left corner.
If you have a look at the attachment you will see that many of the labels for risers have their text labels hidden, if you highlight you can see that the riser label block is highlighted as well as the hidden text. If you click on them you are able to modify the text but I have been unable to work out how to make the labels appear in this drawing.
If I cut and paste into another document I can get the label to appear but I can not work out how to make the labels appear in this document.
I have a problem with editing in link code because it didn't appear in corridor section view as you can in attached files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am having difficulty with the display of my point numbers and description when plotting. I am doing piping desing and utilizing Civil 3D points for the coardinates and elevations to display in a point table. For my viewport, in the properties dialogue box, under the Shade Plot option, I have selected Legacy Hidden due to needing my pipes to display properly only to have my points not display properly. If I opt for Legacy Wireframe or As Displayed, my points display correctly but my pipes do not. Any clue as to how I can have both display properly?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to animate the hide and unhide of a set of objects, I know I can use the visibility track to do this, but I have two issues with this, one, this will not hide it from the view while animating or looking at it in wireframe, which makes it difficult since I'm doing some previz and I need the object gone from the wireframe view... Two, there is an object (I bought them) that refuses to take the visibility track coming from the master object, and it does not have its own one, so I don't have a clue why it ignores it.
Also know that I can suddenly move the object out of the camera view, but was trying to see if there was something a bit more elegant than this, a script to animate the hide and unhide of a groped object would be the ideal thing, but searching the web for it didn't return anything useful.
I have a student who added Note Schedules on a Sheet, then right clicked on one of them and "Hide in View-Element". Now it shows on the Properties as being on the Sheet, but we can't seem to Unhide it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use the wp_oEmbed and the edge suite plug-in and in both cases the hidden off-stage elements are visible. This seems to only happen in WordPress. Standard HTML iframe does not have this problem, not does the simple html generated by edge. This seems to happen in all browsers. I even tried inline styling with a div and overflow hidden command.

Not sure how to do this as I get an error message saying that I can only have 12 dash/dot entries before the text.
The plumbers in our don't want to see text that often.
i xref a floor plan in which one of the sections has hidden lines. In the file with the XREF in it, the hidden lines are not showing.

However in my layer properties manager I have 37 all of which are turned on unlocked etc. When I try to purge theses layers are not deleted. Is there any reason why I can see theses layers and more importantly erase them?

There is a cube.
Solidedit --> Face --> Extrude
I place the pickbox on the front side of the cube, press down Ctrl which highlights the front face, then while still pressing down Ctrl, I press space bar to make the highlight jump to the back face. But when I click it with the mouse, the front face gets selected!
I am using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 and working with the P&ID portion of the software. I created a block (to represent insulation with electric heat tracing) with multiple lines using multiple settings. All of the lines are on layer 0, the line weight is set to by layer. All of the lines have a linetype of by layer except one line which I need to be hidden. This block appears correctly on my screen, but when I print, the hidden line prints continuous.
My brain is exhausted and I think this is just a setting somewhere I can not seem to locate.
2d simple circle... I would like to define a circle using hidden lines. I also would like to have the hidden lines extend passed the circle by .25 of an in. I would also like to define the center of the circle aesthetically rather than just draw these hidden lines in.
