Due to certain issues with freshly released 2013, new licenses I need to downgrade - to use with 2012. I asked via support and subscription and the answer was to use "Partner Center" for that. Since I'm the end user (not a partner), I have no access to that. What do I do?
Is it possible to downgrade CC to CS6 and get back Photoshop CS6 within CreativeCloud for my team?(eg. invisible/deactivated layers are still selectable) so we cannot basically do any web-design.
I have a Serial No. for Photoshop CS5 but I need to Install Photo Shop CS3 as per My PC is not much updated to run Photoshop CS5.So can I use the CS 5 Serial No. on CS 3?
I have some trouble with my 64bits version which is not compatible with microsoft access 2007/32bits ( object library no found), and I 'm wondering if it's possible to downgrade CS.5.1 64bits to 32.?
I own Photoshop CS6 at home, but have been hired to do some work at a client site where they are still on CS5. I would very much like to bring my extensively customized brushes with me (and the client is eager for me to do so), but I keep getting an error that the brush file is incompatible with CS5.
Is there any way to migrate these brushes to a CS5 install?
I currently use 6.0, I typically only scratch the surface of that version. I'll take an existing image or photograph, add layers above and below, use opacity on the various layers, add text and various basic effect filters (eg. blur) and the occasional color gradient and balance edits. Then, I save the original layered psd file for future reference and export additional copies as gif's and jpg's. How much of this can I do in Elements?
will I be able to open 6.0 psd's and work with them as normal in Elements?
in PSCS3 I am now unsure as to weather or not it is worth it to upgrade. I will probably be getting mine (CS3 Web Premium) today and I am thinking about not installing it but sending it back. I have a very nice working full PSCS2 suite and have been using the no-expire PSCS3 beta and from what I have read so far the new version has a lot of problems. If I install it as an upgrade, I don't think I will be able to use CS2 anymore and I don't want my PS to keep crashing and posing new problems when my CS2 is fine. So I am now stuck with this dilemma... keep it and hope they send out patches and fix the errors or just send it back and wait till they fix the errors. I have not heard any good things about CS3 so far and also they changed a lot of the shortcuts, not sure why as we all are used to the ones that they already had? I don't want to spend all this money only to have crashes, loss of work, aggregation and be wishing I had waited. So far the upgrade seems like a downgrade...
I'm running Windows 7 Professional. After updating to the latest version, the app crashes on startup with the message "adobe illustrator CC has stopped working". I need to be able to continue work on projects, so I need to downgrade to a version of Illustrator that will work.
If I have PS CS3 extended version and want to upgrade to PS CS6, can I buy the PS CS6 standard upgrade and "downgrade" from extended to standard version?
After archiving out of 2012 SP3 and then un-unarchiving into 2012 SAP2 SP3, could i edit clips (with history)? For example, action-rendered clips, flame fx-rendered clips, etc.

I am using ACAD MEP 2012. While i was working on a drawing my AutoCAD session locked up and terminated the program, not thinking anything of it i just restarted ACAD and started working on the same drawing. I noticed the ribbon looks different and now all the command buttons are not showing up under the tabs they are ALL in dropdown windows now. I don't know what happened to the original ribbon setup but it is definitely not what it used to be. Attached below are pics of what i am referring to. The first picture is what it used to look like, the second and third pictures are what they look like now.
I was working and rendering in the program and it was working just fine, then just today i was rendering and i got "out of memory error" and it stopped working and just closed. I restarted the program and when i selected an object it just stopped working again and i got the out of memory error again. I have about 200 GB free space so i don't know whats wrong, I'm running Windows 7 32bit.
When working on an animation project our company has faced a strange problem. When switching from one network task to another 3dsmax is closed with an error, as shown in the screenshot. Since there are a lot of tasks, a number of such messages grows frightening.
Trying to get outside of a problem, we have tried all the combinations that came about. Backburner 2008 and 2012, 3dsmax 2012 with the service pack and without it, different versions of Vray, various workstations with Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1, to no avail. As it turned out, the problem is not in the network rendering, but in the file itself.
There were no problems noticed when working with the file, but when one closes 3dsmax, there’s an error message again. Even if we clear the scene from objects, materials, and settings completely - the error remains. But most of all we were surprised by the fact that the saved cleared scene weights 86016 bytes, but an absolutely empty scene, saved right after the program was opened, takes 73729 bytes.
I just tested some of my scenes from Max 2011 in 2012, and rendering is in average about 30% slower than in 2011.
I am attaching pictures for reference. It is obvious that they are 100% identical, there is no difference quality wise, but a significant difference performance wise. I will add some more result comparisons on more complex scenes to confirm the problem once they finish rendering. I am willing to provide my scenes to Autodesk if interested to solve this issue ASAP.
I really intrigued to getting the Object ID pass in 3ds Max working properly, for EXR workflow. What i want to do is to add a object ID Pass to give me a RGB pass of my objects according to my G-Buffer ID number and object information.
Example ID 1 = red material (R). but for a wired reason I keep getting different colours assigned to my specified objects. URL....
I just update Mudbox 2012 to SP1 and now I get 2~3 seconds delay at end of the every brush stroke.
- I can fix it by uninstalling SP1 (so problem is SP1, please do not blame my hardware or setting) - No problem with Painting brushes, only Sculpting brushes lag - Problem is not Pen or Tablet, same happened when I use Mouse - Problem have nothing to do with mesh density (64.000 poly is nothing!!) - I remove all settings and setup fresh Mudbox 2012 with SP1, no chance
Just wanted to run this by everyone. I'm using Autocad 2012 and having problems with text dropping out when i create a PDF file from my DWG.
It just happens randomly. Most times we just re-PDF the dwg and it's fine. I'm wondering if the way I go about it, /plot, and using "Adobe PDF" to print my PDF is what everyone is using.
I am attempting to mirror an object, using an endpoint but 6.5 units to the right of it. However, i don't seem able to do it, as when i mirror the objects they just end up touching.
I know the 2012 version doesn't have dialog boxes for features such as hatching and the array commands, it is possible to set it up on this version so these options become available.
These are the reasons why I went back from GIMP 2.8 to GIMP 2.6.x:
1.) The free text field in the "Open file" view has been removed, or at least I couldn't find it. A frequent use case for me is to copy a fully qualified file name (i.e. including the path) of an image and to paste it to the "open file" view of GIMP... Not possible anymore? Why? Progress IMHO is if possibilities grow, not if they disappear.
2.) I open a JPEG and I want to save(!) it as JPEG. Why is GIMP starting to domineer over the user now (like e.g. MS Windows has been doing all the time) by changing the file type to XCF and forcing the user to "export" the image (that was opened as a JPEG!) if he wants to save it as a JPEG again? Progress IMHO is if things get easier, not if they get more complicated.
3.) The calculation of the image size of JPEGs when saving in preview mode is buggy, i.e. the size is way too high (GBs instead if MBs). Of course, this is only a minor bug which will be fixed soon (if it isn't already). I just wanted to note it.
