View 2 RepliesI have been working with Maya and UDK for only a short period of time now, and am fairly new. I am looking to create a simple wardrobe in Maya that has interactable drawers that open and close. For Example, if you were to walk up to it and press "E" on your keyboard the drawers would open up, you could press "E" on it again and they would close back.
I would like to create a different animation for each drawer, and am confused about how to do that on a single model, if at all possible.
This youtube video is practically what I want, just with the animated opening and closing of the drawers on command http:[URL].......
I only just got photoshop yesterday and I barely know a thing but I have got an image with 3 layers and I want to make it into a simple animation, displaying each layer in turn.

I have a cylindrical tube that I need to animate moving 180 degrees around a central axis remote from the cylinder. I also want to create a circular motion locally for the cylindrical tube as it follows the 180 degree arc.I planned on creating the 180 degree rotation first and then the local circular motion second.
When I created the first motion I tried to use an object (another cylinder) as the transform centre for the rotation. As soon as I click on "Auto-key" the "Use transform centre" option is greyed out. I therefore moved the cylindrical tubes own pivot to the required position for centre of rotation. After I created the 180 degree rotation I moved the pivot back so that I could create the local rotation. At this point I find that the original motion has now changed to suit the new pivot point.
how I can get the "Use transform centre" option to work in this instance?
I have modelling a face in maya 2011. I can see some youtube videos how they put dots in their face, and the 3d-face capture the dots movements. [URL] ....
I want to use dots in my face and a cheap web camera. Does this work in maya 2011? Or do I have to use MotionBuilder? What is the name of the dots?
I have drawings of simple characters which i would like animating tried it myself on Photoshop but failing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the animation aspect of 3Ds Max and I have a running cycle that is stationary but would like to figure out how to get it to move forward? I didn't use Footsteps in the Motion Panel to have a base to work with and modify it. What are my options? I have the weekend off from work to mess with it and if I have to do the hard part of moving the biped forward myself, I'll do so. Would I be able to create Footsteps and attach them to my biped with the animation I have? Or is there a system, option, etc. that I should set up in the beginning before animating that would allow me to move the feet and the rest would follow using the biped?

Fore each button I have e.g. client_button and client_button_over
For the over button I do have for mouseout and touchend :

I have a Edge project I would like to add a simple html to, which consist of many simple text divs. Is this possible?
I also have the block of div codes if I can just insert that instead .
I opened the html file in edge it shows as many separate divs. I can select but cannot copy to another edge project where I want it .
can I convert it to symbol, or can a html file be turned to a symbol?
can i group div them?
can i add it by editing the .js file and creating and ID?
So i instead opened the edge html in DW CC where I can copy the code and paste the div's over. it previews right. except the location and it covers all frames on the timeline (I only need it in one part of the site). So then i tried Muse as a html insert but i lost a lot of edge attributes. fail!
I'm trying to avoid rebuilding all the text divs in edge.
Question is:
what is the best way to import, or reuse html in edge ?
I am trying to make a simple gif animation. however when i do each layer does not disappear when the next is played. Each layer remains and successive layers are pasted on top.

I created a simple symbol from a circle with a cross inside (two rectangles). The symbol has two states labelled "normal" and "over" in which background colors change : on mousover and mouseout on the circle, sym.stop("over"); and sym.stop("normal"); respectively.
The problem : "over" when the cursor hovers over the circle, but back to "normal" when it hovers over the cross. The API suggests to use mouseenter and mouseleave to avoid child elements of the symbol interrupt the mouse event. I tried it, but the behavior is the same.
Is there any JavaScript solution (I'm a beginner, coming from AS3), or should I bypass with two flattened graphics "normal" and "over" ?
I have created a simple animation with 6 frames in the gallery. I want to link each individual frame to different websites. So, as the animation on the site is changing, you can click on one frame, and it takes you to one site, or you click on the next frame and it takes you to another site.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just started to use AE again (CC version) and I'm trying to make a simple 3D text animation and it seems like it's taking an excessively long time to render. I have a 4 year old MacBook Pro (2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB) and it's taking several hours to render and export a 5-second clip through Media Encoder. The animation is just text on a black background. I'm using the ME YouTube 480P preset. The original file is 1920x1080 because I am going to have to chroma key it over some existing 1080p video. I did a little 3D work years ago and this seems like an awfully long time for such a short, simple animation. Is there some simple, common mistake I'm probably making? Should I scale the comp down to 480p?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am looking to create a simple simulation of a character that walks at a constant velocity. The catch is that I want this character to always walk away from their shadow. I am using MR Sun so the idea is to have the character always looking at and walking towards the sun no matter the time of day. The animation takes place only during the day so I'm not concerned about any problems that would occur at night.
For the initial test it may be simpler if I remove the character and just use a "stand in" object to work out the kinks. I'm not worried about trying to use footsteps because that sounds messy. Once I have the solution I can hopefully just drop in a biped with a looping .bip
I like the new(ish) feature where you can drag a section plane through a component, but is it possible to program a moving section and record it to an avi file? Is this something I can do in 3ds, Studio or Showcase? IV2013
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm simply trying to animate the y axis of a symbol with code. When I rollover one symbol, I'd like it to move the symbol it's inside a certain distance. Never seems to work. I've tried looking up the simple jquery syntax to change an image's y position, but it's hard to find!
This is what I have so far:

There is an element that I don't want to move (x and y co-ordinates) but I want to add effects to it (like bounce effects). How do I do this?

Now I could just do it easy and move the bow back and forth, but I'd like it to be more real and have the bow tilt as well. As its moved and tilted, essentially the pivot point changes all the time.

I have a continuously moving looping slide show that has back and next buttons. When you press the next button it should move forward one where ever it is on the timeline every time you click it and the same for the back button.
This is the code I am using but the the problem is that it goes to else {sym.play("one");} when the button is clicked. No matter where in the timeline the next button is clicked, it goes back to number one. I don't know much about coding and I have tried everything to fix this but I am stuck.

I am trying to move my camera from an angle shot, to a side field with no FOV. I can't use 0 FOV because iray won't render it properly. So I animation the FOV from 45 to 2. The problem is that I have to move the camera so far away from the object to make the shot fill the camera with an FOV of 2. My camera appears to move way out and then zoom in again on the object. It's not actually doing this, but the combination of the FOV animation and the distance the camera moves is making it appear to move far away, then zoom in again. Is there some trick for animation FOV?

I am currently working on a project with a mech, I have the leg modeled and partially rigged as seen in the picture below. My issue is that when I move the leg the cables (I'm mostly concerned with the ones in the front) don't deform with the mesh of the leg, like it's resting on top of the leg. I know why the cable isn't going with the leg mesh thats obvious, but I can't get it to go with the mesh.
I've tried reactor, and I haven't even been able to get the cables to come up in the preview window, I tried using a soft body for the cable and rigid for the leg. Another issue I was having though is I was wondering if it was possible to use something other than reactor so the cable moves with the leg in the view port, just like bones moving other parts in real time.
So to try achieving this is actually went and created a bone system for one of the cables and tried applying a skin modifier to the mesh, I feel like this would work great, except I haven't figured out what to attach the bones, or mesh to.
The first picture is the leg in a neutral stance, the second is showing the leg moving and the cable just sitting there. The one I'm particular about is the one in the front with the "U" dip at the bottom.

I can't work out how to animate 2 simple images in Photoshop Extended CS6. Window/Animation has gone in Photoshop CS6. I don't want video, but the Timeline won't let me use the images. Nor can I drag anything. If I click the little right hand arrow in timeline there is nothing there like before. For example, I used to be able to click Make frames from layers in the old version. There does not seem to be a way to do that now.

When I try the attach command, it removes all previous animation on each individual object.
