Is there a tutorial for cutting out part of a photo and using it in another photo. I have seen one on youtube but it is not detailed enough. It dosen't fully explain how to add your cut out part of a photo to a new photo. That is, how do i put the cut out part of a photo on top of a new background?
View 1 RepliesI'm working with the attached photo. As you can see (or rather, can't see) Jeanine's eyes are obscured by the glare on her glasses. I'm sadly finding little blips and blurbs such as this on all the outside shots because this event took place on an absolutely spectacular day (not that I'm complaining given the bizarre weather we've been having). It's just I could not see in the camera's display some of the problems. I even had a couple that are completely blurry though they looked fine on the display at the time.
What is the simplest way to quickly correct this? I have several similar shots of her but the glare is present in all of them. It's actually worse in a couple of them.
I'm kinda new to Xara Photo and graphic Designer 6. I have photos of appliance spares. I need to use only the images of the spare parts for an advert(of which the background will be white) - I dont want the background of the photo.

Question about Xara Extreme 5. When I click on an object, there are a bunch of square dots around the outsite. When I use the pencil tool to go from one dot to another dot, waiting for the ~ to appear, Xara "sometimes" removes the "little" piece I am trying to remove... but other times, removes 90% of the object, keeping the tiny piece of the image (I am trying to remove). Is there a trick or shortcut so that Xara ALWAYS removes the smaller section? I thought that it would be, if you are selecting a piece (i.e. 10% of the selected image), it would remove it... but nope, sometimes it keeps the 10% and removes the 90%. Very frustrating and obviously I do not understand the use of this tool.

You should see a white hose like object against a gray background. I cannot show the whole image, let's just say that above and below it, it gets complicated, meaning not just a plain gray background and the hose isn't all that straight.
I do have the white part as a path, but what I am looking to do is to thin the white part. I can assume you can't go wrong with the clone tool, but I was wondering if there was something better as I do not have a steady hand with the mouse and I do have a few of these images on hand to edit.
I'll post up the part of the image , within the image there is a Picture frame and im just looking to remove it so that it looks like a clear wall.

This is something I SHOULD be able to figure out, but for some reason, I'm having trouble. I'm designing a t-shirt. It can only have 4 colors. The "5th color" is actually the color of the shirt itself. So I have waves with a dolphin over them (covering them, not above them). The dolphin is outlined in one of the 4 colors, but I want the dolphin itself to be the color of the t-shirt (i.e., no color at all - or see-through, so it is actually the color of the shirt). How do I remove the color of the dolphin for the printer? If it was just the dolphin over a solid color, I could do that. But since it's over many colors (the waves)

I have a portrait photograph that is fine in most respects but there is a shiny patch (light reflection) on the forehead and on the nose.
Is there an effective way to remove or tone down the shine without interfering with the rest of the photograph?
I have a HUGE Xara file that is becoming very slow. And it turns out that the reason for this is that at some point, many edits ago, I accidentally must have pasted the same thing multiple times!

The problem is that there are a large number (about 100) of items. Any good way or removing the (hidden) duplications of texts and shapes ?
effective way of removing a selected coloured area from an image (a jpeg in this instance) without affecting other parts of the image. I've added a sample to illustrate what I mean.
I,ve tried the select color/ erase tool but find that it select the white from all parts of the picture, even from other colours.The picture is too complex for the freehand mask tool and time consuming.
Is there another way, or even a plug in that could vouch for?

Xara's a LOT easier to use than Photoshop. But it is different. I know Xara's really for vector artwork, but when you end up using it more and more for photo editing, it's useful to have a bunch of techniques in one place.

Also it is leaving a square edge on the line, and not removing it on an angle.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to vault of one my parts and it refuses to upload. It's refusing to upload because the part keeps refering to a certain bitmap image. I have removed the reference (from the styles library) to the bitmap image but it's still calling for it to be uploaded!
How can I find out why this part still calls for this bitmap image? Why is it still making reference to it even after I have deleted the style which uses it?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a dog bone shaped sheet metal part and each end is folded up 45 degrees to create Z shaped part, the origonal shape was done in a different program and imported as a dxf, it is curvy and no straight sides, the folds were done as fold from a sketch line.
I now want to take a section out of the middle bit, i can cut a bit out but how do i rejoin them?I was hoping to move bodies but i can't select a sing bit it only selects the hole thing even though it is in two bits?
I sadly do not have Photoshop C5 so can not easily remove someone from photos. I tried the cloning tool to just place the background over the person to be removed but it doesn't look very nice. (I'm just starting to use Photoshop).
It is a lake scene and the person to be removed is on the far right, not in the middle of a group or anything.
