I need to animate a series of images circling a globe. I know that I can use fx to move a single image across the screen, but can I create multiple images moving behind it on the same path?

I saw a globe designed in half, turning around. You could see the interior with the continents visible on the in- and outside.
So it looks like a boll cut vertically in half and made hollow with the continent projected on the inside and outside.

But I really feel missing with all those complicated tools and get tired of trying to understand what is what. replace the greenish color of the globe with blue one, so it looks more like of the same color as the bottom book from the stack. Yes i know about the liquify lense enlarge mode - but that wont do it.
In my mind i think youd atleast have to layer copy the image 4 times, rotate them facing opposite directions - then merge them cleanly and then may just maybe lense zoom them.
PS CS2, Im trying do a animation GIF on spinging globe with few lines cut across the center of globe.

I'd like to put my nonprofit's logo or the name of the event inside a snow globe. I've played with various tutorials on creating custom globes, but I think perhaps it would look best with an actual photo. There are a few nice images on istockphoto.com but prefer I waste credits, I'd like any advice on how to make my image look realistic (so the logo or text looks like it is INSIDE the globe and not on top).

I'm attempting to create a spherical globe with continents uniformily protruding from the surface (say 1 or 2 millimeters). I've given it a few tries, but every method I've used either fell short or resulted in huge distortion. There are really two signifcant hurdles, the first being etching the continents onto the globe, and the second being giving them a greater diameter than the globe.[URL]

This is strange because when I first installed it, everything was working fine. This applies to the following image types JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP. View 1 Replies View RelatedFor convenience, I use my video camera for both video and taking still pictures. For video I use use a wide frame 16:9 while capturing stills I use a standard frame 4:3 (the standard frame allows a higher megapixel). I use VS X2 for creating my home DVD's and I use Photostory 3 for my slide shows.
I've never used the still capture function on VS until today. I needed a couple of stills from the video to match with the continuity of my slide show.
I realised that my screen capture would be wide screen but I figured I could edit the photo and crop it to 4:3. What actually happens is that VS X2 captures the image and squeezes it to 4:3 so in the end I get these long images!
I've been attempting to combine various AVI clips into one large video using VS Pro X3 and I'm noticing that the beginning of each clip seems distorted. Actually, distorted is probably not the correct term for what I'm seeing. It looks like the main image is in the background and a smaller cropped version is superimposed in the middle of it. This issue only seems to be happening right at the beginning of each video clip. After about 5 - 10 seconds of the clip being played, the image corrects itself and it's fine.
Not sure I can post an screen capture of the problem here.
We are unable to import ANY format of still images to VideoStudio X6. Even the tech was unable to do so while in control of our computer. We've discovered others online at other tech websites complaining about this issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just spent several days putting a project together. Mainly still images with some digital video.
When I rendered the project (pal 16_9 frame based also tried lower first) the result is far from acceptable. It looks like a low res picture although I rendered with high quality settings (the same ones I have used many times before) Straight lines seem to have a slight saw tooth effect. If I utilize an overlay the problem is suddenly much more pronounced. Wether this is caused by the overlay itself or the fact that the images are enlarged slightly I don't know.
The video clips from my digital video camera seem to be ok, the problem being mainly with the still images.
By the way the same images created as a slide show in movie factory are perfect.
I have a fast computer with vista installed and had excellent results earlier in the year with another sinilar project.
problem with loading large numbers of images, not large images, but a lot of images in VS11. I am loading a lot of images to make my annual slide show for the HS band and I am running into a problem where the images start loading quickly (1 second each) and after about 150-200 images you start to load slower and slower as much as 70 seconds on image #300). I don't remember having this issue with VS9, which is what I used last year.
I tried loading the same thing in VS10 and it is much better on the load. There is a recognizable slow down, but nothing like VS11. Before you ask, I would be fine with doing the slide show in VS10, but running in Vista VS10 crashes on me too much to get it done.
Is there any way to crop a video clip in an overlay track-not just change the size of the entire image keeping it intact.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis may seem a strange question, but I do not work with images very often and having just returned from holiday in NZ (how privileged you are to live there Ken) I have some 30GB of video and almost 1000 images to edit.
These images are 16:9 4000x2248, 180 dpi and 24 bit depth, so is there an optimum resolution that these should be reduced to, for creating projects in conjunction with the video (1280x720 HD 59fps) I read some time ago that images need to be reduced in size, but I can't remember why.
I'm running Corel Videostudio Pro X2 on Windows XP. I haven't had any problems doing a straight video and using some inserted images. For the first time I've tried just to use images (18 of them) with a music score--no video at all. I set everything up at timed intervals for the images to appear at certain points in the score and it seems to be fine. However, when I do a full playback, the images begin to lag in the range of 1-2 seconds behind the score. When I scroll back over just a short little section of one image, they sync up again. It doesn't stay in sync for longer ranges (playing from beginning to end--about 3:30 total). I have tried rendering in HD and the same thing occurs. This is for Youtube.

I can only get down to a image speed of 0.1 second or 10 frames/second by editing each images and then reduce duration time. Is it impossible to get the duration time to 0.0417 that is about a speed of 24 frames/second? If it is impossible maybe something for the wishlist to the future!
Next quistion is is it possible to somewhere in the settings change the duration time for images so you don't need to edit each images each time! It can be hard if you have over 400 images to edit!
I have updated Video Studio to 1, 2 and Microsoft X. My current version is 12.0.106.1. When I load a series of images some of thumbnails are just black. In my source foulder they are all OK. I delete and try again and others come up black. All of the pictures are standard .jpg. When I check the properties of the correct images they have 'Camera Information' and 'IPTC/NAA' property categories. The black thumbnails do not have these categories at all. I am using Windows 7 on a 64 bit Dell.

Any way to do this in windows from XP and beyond.It may be a bit basic, but if you keep the same name for a batch of images you can easily number them sequentially, I have numbered over 900 images in a few seconds.
In XP- Select all the images you want numbered. Right click the 1st one and select rename Name the image and type a number you wish to start with in brackets ( )immediately after the nameClick on the 1st image and all your images will be numbered sequentially. If you want to use more images later in this way you can follow on with the next number to have a continuing sequence.
I'd like to know if it's possible, and if so, how to do it..... in X5, to insert multiple images into their own single frames, at one time. Say I have images 1.jpg - 250.jpg, and I want all to be loaded into single frames... for an animation.

I am a composer and I want to create "score perusal" videos of my music which I will upload to YouTube and embed on my website. I compose using a software notation program called Finale. There are two "views" in Finale:
1. Page view: the score looks just like an actual score with pages numbers, the notes, words, etc. showing one page at a time
2. Scroll view where the score is laid out horizontally.
In either view, I can "play" the score while a green line follows the music, turning pages (in page view) or scrolling horizontally (in scroll view). I can also "print" the pages as PDFs (but not as images).
Here's what I've tried in VSx6:
1. Using Screen Capture, I recorded the score as it scrolled across the screen. I put that Screen Capture in the video track and then imported the audio into the music track and synced it up. In VSx6 when I played it back using "project," the score looks bad (fuzzy). If I play back only the scrolling score (iow, no audio) it looks good (not razor sharp but legible), however, it can't afford to lose any sharpness or it will become too fuzzy. I have read on this forum that I should ignore such the quality before the movie is created (rendered?) and that all be well when saved as a movie.
2. From Finale I exported each page as a PDF (that my only choice). Concerted the PDFs to .png files. I tried normal and high quality. The higher quality (larger) the png file, the worse it looked in VS. Using a movie template, I put the .png files in as "pictures" (pages) and then, again, I synced the music.
I've tried saving the above in about every format available but seem clear enough, especially once they get uploaded to youtube.
I know there are many parameters. The two most important things are size, that is, I want the score to go from top to bottom of the frame since the notes are small, and of course, clarity... crisp as possible.
-Do I want 60p/50 editing checked under "Settings"? I can't see what it does.
-I assume I want 4:3 ratio since these are portrait pages?? (If I have 16:9 unchecked, does that mean 4:3 becomes the default?)
-In screen capture, does a higher quality monitor make a clearer picture, or does it not matter?
-In YouTube I note that one has to click the gear and then select 1080p. If Auto is set then it seems to play at 720p? I've only come close to what I need by setting it to 1080p but I fear many will not even know that setting is there.
Bottom, line, is it possible to get a clear enough image on YouTube or is this just not doable? I haven't tried printing (in ink) the score then scanning the pages and loading them into a movie. Is that a better option perhaps?
