I have reinstalled this program 3 times arlready and the Auto Music feature still does not work? Every time i make a project and want to add some music off the Auto Music feature the whole program crashes instantly? I keep getting over and over again, Unspecified Error? Everything thing else works in the program except the Auto Music.

Okay, it's been over six months since I last used VSX4, but I don't remember having to do anything special to use Auto Music.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled several times, and have installed VSX5 SP1.
I hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?
After successfully using VideoStudio X2 for quite a while now, I’ve just updated VideoStudio X4.
My laptop meets the minimum specifications, however, I have just one problem with X4.
I can output to every file format including HD, but if I choose the 3D option, anaglyph or side by side, the program “crashes“.
I get 'the program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning' and 'the memory could not be read' errors. Both messages show 3 times each. The program will eventually close when I’ve OK’d all six messages.
I’ve tried different lengths of video, from short to long, but it makes no difference.
I don’t plan on doing loads of 3D videos, just the occasional short one for fun. Even though I find red/blue 3D video tiresome to watch, I would like to have a fully functioning program as everything else on X4 works like a dream.
I have a project with only photos (about 200) and 3 songs. Total length is about 16min. I have successfully created a .MPG (2.3GB) and .WMA (474MB) HD files.
My problem is when I create a MPEG-4 HD files. It kept crashing the program while "Creating File..."
Error message, "The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump file for analysis."
I tried another project with photos and music only and encountered the same problem. Shortening the project yielded the same (one song and a few pictures).
I tried using "Custom" and using the HD settings resulted in the same error. Nothing works.
My patches are up to date. How to create Hi Def movie files that I can playback with and Apple computer (Quicktime).
I downloaded a trial copy of the Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultra. Every time I click on the Create Video File button the program crashes. I get a message that the program must exit. Every time I try this, it crashes.

I was using VideoStudio 4 for about a year, then upgraded to 5 Ultimate last week. Was in the middle of a project when I upgraded, and decided to burn a DVD last night.
DVD burner is in use for another program error (or something like that)
I've never had this error in my life, and I've been using the same laptop for about 3 years, with 2 or 3 versions of VideoStudio.
Should I just uninstall 5? Or can I "restore" my computer back to two weeks ago?
The file I was working on, I also saved as a VideoStudio 4 file in case 5 doesn't work.
I didn't uninstall 4 before loading 5. I tried to uninstall 4 last night, but it didn't uninstall all the way. Maybe if I reload 4, then uninstall it?
I can't think of any programs that use the burner that I use on that machine either.
I really need to make a DVD by saturday--it's my fiancee's bridal shower. The one I tried to make last night was to test it and make sure it worked on my future sister-in-law's TV before the shower. But that didn't happen unfortunately.
I bought the VideoStudio x5 yesterday. When i try to open the program, a message appears:

I thought i was getting this message when i enabled ripple select all but now i am randomly getting this message anytime i am using VS. I use VIDEOSTUDIO PRO X3 and i believe i have updated the necessary updates for it . After i get this message, it shuts down VS and i have to restart the program.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI get it on closing the Video Studio Pro 14.1.0.107.(S.Pac 2) I initialy got it when trying Corel's trial download so went and bought the Package, retail, thinking (foolishly) that that would solve the problem. I have spent hours on line with Corel Tech who said it was a conflict with jscript.dll in Explorer 9. I reverted back to Explorer 8 but no luck. It makes no difference whether V.S has files active or not so it is not a function of source files.

I have been creating/editing 3 separate projects/movies over the past few weeks and lately it seems that every time I exit X4 (after saving) the program exist the screen and then I get a window displaying the following error -The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump for analysis and it displays the location of the .DMP file.Now I now on the face of it this doesn't affect me as it only occurs when I exit X4?
Should I send the DMP file or would that just be a waste of time (ie does the Corel 'engineers' actually check the DMP file users send them and do they reply?
I'm having a hard time creating MP4 HD files. It's always gone well, but recently it seems that I get to around 99% rendering, and then it crashes. I get the message "The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning"
I'm running an older dual core intel T2080 CPU with Vista, nothing fancy. It seems to happen with videos that are around an hour and a half. If I keep my videos to around an hour it will complete the rendering process. I am able to see the final 8GB file that was created, but it won't play as the rendering wasn't 100% finished with the longer video. This whole thing happens on different PC's so it's not my program installation.

Why is that when I ever I add a new set of pictures or effect, it moves my music as to make space for it despite using a different layer. View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen we capture music from CD's in Pro X3, the last few seconds of the songs get cut off. Or the recording skips, cuts out a few seconds of the song right before the end, and then captures the end of the song. It's an intermittent problem with no rhyme nor reason that we can figure out as to which songs are being affected. But once a song has been captured and the end garbled, that same song will always be garbled no matter how many times we delete the recording and recapture it.

I am reducing the Clip volume to 3 (I think that is 3%) and it is still too loud. If I move it down to 2, it is inaudible. Is there another adjustment somewhere? I really cannot have a background music compete with the narration!

I understand 5.1 has 5 channels, so are the speech & SFX separated from the music?
By the way, it's enough to have only ONE channel with ONE type of sound (i.e. music), because then I can extract it and reverse-phase it to (partially) cancel out it's equivalent from the master audio track. It's not perfect but enough.

The issue is when I deleted the sound and music clip from my folder it disappeared from my video project and I would have to get the clip back into my music folder and keep it in there until I burned a DVD. Is this routine for VS?

Video were fine and Mercali worked as it says. How do you get a plain DVD without one of the fancy backgrounds that the program makes you chose to start the DVD which need titles and without horrible music that came from nowhere? I cannot find how to make a video with nothing at the start that goes straight into the video you have made. All I want is how to make a DVD of my videos (I can put the title on top of the video at the start) that you put into a DVD player that self starts or at worst needs you to press play on the remote control.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have VideoStudio X3 Pro and just want to convert all my DV tapes to DVD - no background music, no fancy themes, just conversion with a menu and 15 minute automatic chapter breaks (or scene breaks using the X3 scene detection).
The only way I can test the themes provided in X3 to see if they have background music is to burn a tape to DVD. That just isn't very efficient.
how I can do this, which theme to use, or a way to adjust the theme before it burns?
I am using VS4. Is there a way to equalize audio music tracks? I know that there is a "normalize audio " option just prior to burning but that is for videos only. For whatever reason the last two videos I have made have varying audio volumes on different music.

I also see that you can stretch or compress the music track to fit time of the slides. However, this would distort the audio track to some extent. Is it possible to select some or all of the photos and automatically set an average time so the sequence will equal the play time of the audio (ideally one file, multiples, or complete audio track)? Also, Is there an upper limit on the number of photos that can be in the video track (obviously there would be an upper size limit for a given media that would be used)? What are some of the upper limits reported and have rendering issues resulted at some poin?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to VSP X5. I want to edit a music video that I recorded live. The live recording of the music was fine but I need to cut and paste new video clips in certain part of the songs in the video timeline. I split the audio from the video.
I am having a hard time trying to sync the audio because every time I cut the video clip, the video keeps snapping back, making audio out of sync. Also, when adding transitions, video clips automatic shrink. I tried enable ripple, video still snap back. Is there a setting in the preference?
I transferred from 8mm film to video and am now editing them in VideoStudio4. I have a bunch of clips that are now edited in my timeline and I want to merge (combine) them so I can add music with the appropriate length for the three clips combined. Is there a way to merge the three clips into one?
