Feb 19, 2011I have imported 3 tapes full of HDV and I am now editing them.
While editing the screen goes black unless I am actually playing it so cannot skip frame forwards and backwards.

Have just installed VSx4 trial version. I previously used x3 with no problems. I've created a new project, imported an AVI and it plays fine in the preview window, in either Clip or Project mode. However, as soon as I pause it the image goes black.
This makes any kind of editing nearly impossible. I don't get the problem with the pre-installed sample video "V21". So I guess it is clip related? It plays and pauses fine in media player.
why there black vertical edges of the screen to create a DVD with Corel VideoStudio Pro X4. Video using 16:9 ratio - the relationship between the original. (I get the same 4:3)

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I work in photoshop CS3 and I use some tool to edit the image, it does not get refreshed by the graphics engine. The modification is done, but it only gets visible as soon as I force the graphic engine to reload the picture (for example: by dragging the window where the picture is in a little around in photoshop).
View 5 Replies View RelatedOccassionaly when editing in LR3 - final, the whole screen flickers off then on very quickly (Less than a second). I've only seen this effect when using lightroom 3, i.e. it doesn't happen at any other time.
System is a no-name PC, with AMD dual core 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, LR3 64 bit, 4GB ram, ATI Radeon X1200 graphics (On-Board).
I had the problem of a Black screen in the LAB mode with the new camera raw (4.4.1.85) and CS3 10.0.1. I am running Windows XP with a RADEON 9000 graphics card. I am finally rid of it.
I right clicked the Desktop then properties. Settings. Advanced. Troubleshoot. I unchecked the option there (but that was not necessary as I added it back later) but what made a difference was to reduced the Hardware Acceleration by one notch. The problem is gone.
I am having trouble with the ram player in 3ds max 2013. I am using vray to render and when i try to load the last render into the ram player i just receive a black screen, although the dialogue beneath is consistent with render time, frame name etc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having this issue with the new PS CC. It happens whenever I try to add/edit a text. Pick the text tool, click onto the work and -- bang! -- the whole work screen gets blank. Depending on the project size it may get stable at a certain ammount of zoom and keep blinking (or go completely blank) at other zoom factors. If I finish text editing the screen gets back to normal. Funny is that if I type something, it will be there, so the problem seems to be with the viewport.
PS: Currently I am going to download and install back the CS6 version as the issue reported above does not happen with it.
I have win7 and PS Cs6 (64 bit).Every time I am editing an image in cs6 the screen jitters. It doesn't flicker, but jitters. By this I mean it jumps up and down:). I am using WIn7.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a longtime user of PSP 8 and just downloaded the trial version of PSP X5, thinking to buy it. With PSP 8, if I wanted to edit two images on the screen at the same time, I loaded them both into the program and then used the minimize button at the upper right hand of each image to switch them out of full-screen mode and put them next to each other. PSP X5 no longer has the minimize buttons attached to the images. I can tab back and forth from one image to the other, but I can't figure out how to put them both on the screen simultaneously. Is this feature still present somewhere in PSP X5? How do I access it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open up the image that I want 2 use 4 my background the image fills the (working) window. Then, as instructed, I go in2 "Layer" & import the pic w/the green screen background. But when I then go 2 "Effects" & choose/use ChromaKey (again, as instructed) the background pic is now only a small square in the upper left hand corner of the window & the rest of it is white. Therefore, my pic/finished result has a background w/a little square in the upper left hand corner & the rest is white?
View 3 Replies View RelatedComing from a FCP background, and I see this in FCP and in AVID, but I can't seem to do it in premiere, though I really want to. I want a multi monitor set up where the first monitor has my timeline, source window, and project window, then my second monitor has my bins & effects & metadata, then the third will be a full screen of the project window that is still on my first monitor, and then finally a fourth, 65" 4k tv also displaying the project window (mirroring the third monitor). Dragging the project window around and toggling in and out of fullscreen is a waist of time since there was no need to do that with FCP for so many years. I need 3 project windows in premiere (and I dont mean using the reference) , how do I do this with premiere?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am suddenly having a problem here with enlarging my photographs that I am editing. In the past, I would open an image and then click on Control + 0 (zero). This would enlarge the image to the working area. Also, it would do the same thing if I double clicked on the little hand on the toolbar on left side of screen. For some reason, this stopped working. How do I get this back?

I'm a Creative Cloud subscriber, using Mac OS 10.8.1. For some reason, when I open a raw image in ACR, the adjustment screen displays a black backgrond. Black text on a black background. The slider bars show up, but I can't read the labels, and have to go from memory. I uninstalled and then re-installed Photoshop CS6, tried to find where ACR;s prefs are located so I can try trashing them and so forth - all to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy company bought the photoshop CC for my work and my notebook, where the photoshop was installed, have Windows 8. The problem is: when I go to move some element in the document (Ctrl+T), make a selection or move the document (Space+Click) the screen flashes black, and sometimes it turns black and don't go back until I move the document.
when I'm going to move a layer to some part of the document the screen keeps flashing black until I finish it.The difference is, in the Windows 7 it doesn't happen at all, the photoshop runs beautifully. It just happens in Windows 8.

I recently reinstalled windows 7, and since then I've been having two problems with photoshop cs6.The first one is that whenever I make an action in the program like zooming, using the hand tool, making strokes with the brush, I get these black dots appearing and disappearing on the screen. They are like black pixels and appear at random locations.I actually had the same problem a couple of months ago and got the advice to install the 12.8 catalyst drivers for my ATI SAPPHIRE 7870, as they are the most stable. That fixed it and I haven't had the problem until now when I reinstalled my windows and it started happening again. The only difference is that installing the 12.8 drivers doesn't fix it anymore.I tried many driver versions 13.4, 13.5 beta, 12.10 and the problem stays.I know it's a GPU problem, because when I desable the GPU in Performance, it fixes it.The only solution that I have found for this problem is to put the drawing mode on Basic in Performance and that fixes it.So this is not the main issue at the moment, since as far as I know, I can just stay in Basic mode and it won't affect my digital drawing.
The second problem that I have is that, there is a ton of screen tearing when I move my image around, like using the hand tool and the rotate view tool especially. It's like not having Vsync turned on or something, but as there is no option like that in PS CS6, I can't control that.I tried turning off and on the different option in Performance and nothing fixes it.It's interesting that even when I turn off GPU ussage, the problem still stays, so maybe it's not a video card/driver problem. So bottom line: black dots- fixed it with switching to Basic drawing mode, would like to know if there are other ways to fix it; screen tearing when moving the canvas/ image.
My PC specs are Core i3-3220 CPU 3.30 GHz, 8GB RAM Kingston HyperX, Sapphire Radeon 7870 HD 2GB GHz Edition, Motherboard - ASUS P8H77-V and I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit.
Whenever I put the object setting to "realistic," the whole viewport screen dims down until its almost pitch black. It returns to its normal brightness only when you zoom in or out, pan around the view, or when an object in the viewport is modified. I've attached two images along with the post, showing how the viewport appears before and after it dims down.
I'm wondering whether this an actual intended feature of 3DS Max, or if it's a problem.
I have tried twice to export a slideshow of 373 photos from LR4, using the 1080P preset. An mp4 file of 3.21 GB is created and it opens in a Quicktime player screen. The player shows 40 minutes of playtime and appears to start, but no images come up on the black screen. The images were created from Nikon raw files, and I am using an iMac running OS X 10.7.5. I am using QuickTime Player 10.1 for playback, but I've also tried QuickTime Player 7 with the same results. What gives?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I preview or play a slideshow in Lightroom 5 I see a black screen. I've tried it using various settings, images, lengths, and with the show saved or unsaved, all with the same result. In a preview I can see the show advancing through the slides; all remain black.
Sometimes (unpredictably) the screen isn't black, but rather two colors or color washes separated diagonally.
There are no videos in the shows. (A black screen for a slideshow with a video as the first slide is a known issue mentioned in the Lightroom Journal.)
Exporting to pdf works properly. An exported video shows as a black screen.
(Mac Pro, OS X 10.7.5, Radeon X1900 XT video card)
In the Slideshow module, The slideshow will not display the images when played, just a black screen
