How I might create the effect of a diamond sparkling which I can use to overlay a video clip.
I want to add an effect to a face as if one of the person's teeth sparkles. I can remember in the movie The Great Race where this effect was added to a smile by the actor Tony Curtis. This is the effect I am trying to produce. I have looked at all the video filters but there are none which will produce this effect and it any case I think that I will have to do it using an overlay track rather than a video filter as I would want to position the actual sparkle according to where the 'tooth' is on screen.
I'd really like to be able to create the sparkle effect seen in the image below using Designer Pro X, but try as I may, I haven't figured out how to do this. It is a one-click effort in MediaChance's RealDraw.
The top image is the image without the sparkles; the one below it adds the sparkles, and the bottom image is just a black field on which the same sparkles are placed so you can see them without distraction.
Is there a (preferably easy) way to do this in Designer Pro X?
I'm trying to re-create this effect. The only image I have to work with is very small (I apologize if it's hard to see). Basically, It is a rectangle that has diamond patterns that seem to stretch as they extend. I'm trying to re-create this effect and have no idea where to begin.
i have line in the drawing that exists on layer A-Wall it has different lineweight 0.05 from true wall. Now usually my routine : i select this line and then select similar to convert it to layer glazing.
i need lisp that by one command convert the objects on layer A-wall with layer 0.05 only to glazing.
i had a solid blue background to which i applied some effect--pretty sure it was from the filter gallery. just one effect. and i liked it very much but didnt think to make a note of it, so sure was i that i'd find it easily again. well now i can't figure out which one i used and i'm hoping one of you pros will recognize this pattern.
I am trying to put a special 3D effect on a font. I don't know how describe it, thus here is a link where you can see it: [URL] ..... Â I already know that the font is Agency FB. I don't care about the camouflage look or about the shadow. I'm just interested in the 3D effect. How can I get this effect with Illustrator CS5?
I had a pc crash and am reloading all my old programs including VS 4. I found everything except a couple effect. One was a crown that could be adjusted and placed on a head, another was a wand that went across the screen with sparkling bits, another had butterflies, etc.
It seems that I cannot enter a special character into the text of a title with Alt-0xxx, even though this works with just about all other Windows applications. Is this a feature or a bug? Or is there a way to do this that I'm unaware of?
For the moment I'm entering the special characters into a text editor, then copying and pasting them into the title, which works, but is awkward. I don't understand why VideoStudio doesn't let me enter the characters directly.
The characters in question are things like typographic quotes, some accented characters, bugs like copyright and registered trademark, and other things that are not unusual to need to use in a title.
when I used VS 10 and VS 11, I was able to enter special characters in Titles (captions) by pressing [alt] and the special character number. For example, when I need a ñ (n with a tilde on top, found in Spanish words), I pressed [alt] and 164 at the same time. However with VS X2, it does not work and I could not enter special characters in Titles. is this no longer available in VS X2 or I did something wrong in the settings/configuration of VS 12?
How the star like sparkles were added to this image. What in your opinion is the best way to approach this?(There is probably numerous ways to do this I imagine).
how to draw a diamond shape but my plan is not working. I am drawing a basic square and filling it with a color, then going to "rotate" to turn it into a diamond. The edges are SO rough. Is there a better way to create shapes with angles and somehow keeping clean adges.
I have a flat square image that im working with and i am trying to make it appear to be the top of a diamond shape. How can i get this effect so it looks like the user is looking down on the top of the diamond shape? I put a square in and used the beval and emboss setting with a max size and max depth. It looked likes what im trying to do but it is not making it pointy at the top. how can i get this effect?
I was looking for some background images of diamond plate for a background to my website. If anyone knows were some cool backgrounds for this is, please let me know.
I'm looking to make some diamond plate metal. I've tried on my own with brushed metal as a base, but it just looks rediculas...If you dont know what diamond plate looks like,
It doesn't have to look exactly like that...I'm going to make it look worn with scratches etc...but to make those diamonds look like they actually belong with the metal in the background...
I have a diamond pattern that needs to be a polyline and also needs to be offset on each side of the diamond. When I create a polyline out of one diamond pattern and then try to offset the polyline pattern a certain distance on each side, it will only let me offset to one side and not the other.
way to make 4 white diamonds within a bigger yellow diamond. I try to make an big diamond by rotating a square 45 degrees. No problem there but whey I make the smaller diamonds out of squares and try to put them into the larger diamond it is all messed up?
I have a diamond image, which obviously has different shades in it, it actually has dark, like dark brown shades, which i want to change to lighter smth like light yellow, i tried replace color, hue/sat//light but the effect is not realistic like an actual diamond looks, it is loosing its luminosity. i even tried with magic wand tool, by selecting each darker part and changing color, but it does'nt look realistic either.
I am producing a glass of beer with bubbles rising, with a simple 360 degree orbit animation to be played on a loop. I downloaded the glass file and it came with a HDRI map and look great. I wanted animated bubbles so have used a SuperSpray particle system based on the Bubbles preset, tweaked to reduce everything down to the right size.
It all looks fine, but I have some strange reflections going on inside the glass, on the animation they travel the opposite way to the bubbles, so they must be a reflection issue.

I am drawing a simple diamond shape made with one rectanlge shape and multiple line segments. As I drew the design, I made sure to connect all the segments at the anchors. When I select all of the segments and try to join the paths, the end points or corners are not smooth. In other words, some of the line segment ends hang over the edges...  The image below shows the left side of the diamond, where the top portion meets the bottom...
i'm trying to make a banner for a jewelry store and the guy wants a wire-frame diamond that rotates... i have absolutely no clue where to begin. does anyone know how to accomplish this? can it be done in photoshop/imageready?
except i want just the wire-frame of the diamond, not actual shading, and also maybe have the diamond rotated 45 degrees to the left.
Doing a bend on diamond plate. I have applied a texture map to the side of the plate that has the diamond pattern. When the pattern gets in the corners (inside or outside), the texture map shifts. When it does this, the diamond pattern does not look the way the real part will. Below is an image of what I am seeing. Â
I have a sheet metal part I need to show as polished aluminum diamond plate on one side of the material only, just as it would appear on the actual part.
