I have started to get an error message whenever I close VSX3 that says 'please send the dump file to Technical Support for analysis'. The so-called 'technical support' just seems to be ads for Corel software.
View 2 RepliesLately I have been having a file created when I close either Video Studi X4 or X5.They are DUMP files which are kept in a folder.I have this files ready to send, because it tells me that I have to send them to the Corel support centre, but I don't know whereI have to send them.I'm also having lots of problems keeping running either of the programmes(X4 or X%). They tend to stop, hang-up, and the screen goes cloudy telling that the application is not running well and I have to force finishing the programme.

I find it a little strange that they don't offer a direct upload option of the DMP file as a part of this dialogue, but it's probably me who is a little strange...
Anyway. Is there an email address or something where I can send this DMP file? It would be much faster than getting in touch with Corel support.
A week or so ago VSX4 suddenly hiccuped and flashed up a message ‘send DMP file xxxxxxxxxxxxx to Corel’ and the program then refused to function until reopened. But I could find no obvious way through the support web site to attach a file to an e-mail, something which used to be possible for you or so ago. I finished up ringing the only Australian phone number on it could find on Corel’s web site and the lady who answered offered to forward my e-mail with DMP file attached to support. So far I have not yet received a reply.
1.Why did the program want me to send a DMP file?
2. link to a method for sending a DMP file to Corel?
3. How simple would it be for Corel to put a link to allow program users a direct route for this from the CorelGuide that appears on clicking the down arrow surrounded by dots?
I have registered my product. When I log in, I see it in the list.I have no "Support code".I have spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to send them the dump that the program says I should send them so they can find their problem.
In general, I'm very happy with CVS. I've used X5 and just bought X6. So I'm not a whiner.Get it together for support.When you put so many roadblocks in the way of sending you a bug report, you reduce the quality of your product.If you are going to have such a difficult support policy, then the program should have sent the dump automatically to you.
My problem appears when I open a saved project. Only when I open one certain file. All run perfect when I open others saved files. The error is:
"The program has encountered an unspecified erros and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technicial Support and send the dump file for analysis.
The name of this file is: C:/User/home/AppData/Local/Temp/vstudio_16.1...... DMP"

View 4 Replies View RelatedOur company does not have the funds to upgrade so we are stuck with CD12. I am using using a windows 7 /64 bit machine. I created this xml template for the writers to place place their graphics in our author software.
I have 4 layers on my file - grid.guide,desktop and template. The template has the instructions and size dimensions. I have them put all graphics on the high lited desktop layer then when this is complete turn off the template layer. One can print this file with just the graphics showing with no problem.
However if I export this a PNG file both the template and desktop layers show up even though I turned off all layers. I just want the desktop layer with the graphics to show up. I have been using Adobe Illustrator for several years and this doesn't present a problem when saving the graphic as a PNG file.
I want to attach image in Autocad 2010, i know the procedure to insert the image (.jpg,etc.). But my problem is that i dont want to send its original image that i used from my hard disk.
Is there any way to send drawing without sending its image file or wothout doing etransmit the file.
Is there a way to re-execute the video analysis of the Mercalli filter without having to actually remove the filter and reapply it to the video clip?
I can't seem to find an easy way without removing the filter.
I have a company profile I created ages ago with CorelDraw 12 or earlier. It has about 12 pages or more. Recently I tried opening it and get this error. Is there any solution?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had this product for about a week and it is fabulous compared to any other video editors I have tested.
There is something odd happening, however. I am using the Mercalli plug-in to stabilize hand-held videos. This works great but the rendered video always has a message overlaid saying the Mercalli analysis must be re-run (even if it has just been done). There IS an exception: render to mpeg4 and everything's fine - stabilization has been applied and no message. If I then take the exact same project (no changes) and render into AVCHD (for example), the output is ruined with the overlay. If I go back into the project again to have a look at what's up re-analysis is NOT called for.
I am getting this across the screen on every video that I use Mercalli on. Not to mention horrible lock up's and slow operation.I was so fed up last night that I dumped my entire PC and loaded WIN 7 and all its updates and then VSX4.Still I am getting the same behaviour. I run the filter and it goes through its little screen of adjusting the clip based on the settings used.But I still get this warning on the final project even though the analysis WAS run. I was able to get it to work with an upload to Youtube (.flv) but anything to Disc gives the warning.Also found that VSX4 crashes if you try and save to video folders as well as burn the disk.Now that I think about this it all seemed to start after the last Windows updates. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have three .des files that I cannot open. I can see the drawing in the preview window prior to opening but the files themselves won't open. Sometimes the error message I receive states there is an error reading a bitmap, other times that there is an invalid object in the drawing.
Given the choice of abort, retry or ignore, I click on retry which make another window pop up with the same message and choices. Clicking ignore only makes Designer crash. Is there some command in Designer similar to the audit command in AutoCAD that can save these drawings for me?
I'm currently working on building up a library of 3D models of crane rigging for a new job. Specifically, I'm creating wire rope slings (like this 3/8" wire rope sling) but with less of an emphasis on visual detail and more on precise measurements.
In order to simplify the process a bit, I created an excel file to enter the basic four measurements of a sling (length, rope thickness, eye width, and eye length) which then calculates and displays for me the coordinates and measurements of all the objects needed to make the sling (arcs, lines, circles to sweep along those lines, etc.)
I realize now that I'm really just creating a task of endless copy/paste, and I'm looking for a better way to get through the process. How to make this work as efficiently as possible.
Is there some way that I could point AutoCAD to the Excel file and have it read all the coordinates and measurements to draw everything automatically? I also considered creating a line in Excel that would give output that I could copy and paste into a .scr, but I have never used any scripting in CAD before, so it would be new territory for me.
whether Video Studio could handle the video file format from a high end Panasonic prosumer camcorder. It seems the question I should have asked is whether Video Studio X5 can edit and export files in the new AVCHD 2.0 format, which is used not only by Panasonic but by other camcorder manufacturers and which, according to an email from a reviewer for camcorderinfo.com is not compatible with a large number of video editing software programs. Can X5 handle AVCHD 2.0?

Windows movie maker and my old adobe program will not recognize this video I have recorded. Does corel pro x4 is capable of importing and editing this footage? Would love to know before I purchase. I am not looking to convert the video either, I have tried that and it has really hurt the quality.

How can i lock all objects in my CDR file or it may even be a EPSfile, so that when i forward the file to a anyone else he/she cant make any further changes in it.
the basic reason for that is because i will be putting a company logo on each file. So no one should not be able to remove that logo from the file i have created!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed X4 Ultimate which comes with the proDAD Mercolli SE image stabilizer plugin. The problem I'm having is after I apply proDAD to a video clip and burn it to a disc or video file, an error message is displayed over the scene in the clip telling me I need to run proDAD's analysis mode again.
I've tried deleting the video filter by clicking on the X to the right of the filter box. It goes away indicating the proDAD filter was deleted properly. Then I reapply the proDAD plugin filter. The proDAD analysis mode runs OK and the final image stabilized result runs correctly INSIDE the VS editor. BUT when I have VS render an MP2 video file or DVD file with project content that has a clip with the proDAD filter applied, the proDAD error message appears telling me to re-analyze the clip.
Had a project in VSPro X3 SP1 crash over a month and a half ago that was making little sense so contacted Corel Tech support (what a nightmare that was). Surprisingly I got a response that told me the error was related to Quicktime 7.6 and that the development team was aware of the problem and that the TEMP fix was to uninstall quicktime 7.6 and install 7.5. This was all over a month ago and no FIX has surfaced. Contacted tech support again regarding this issue and a possible fix and was told
"We would like to inform you that any information as to when an update patch or newer version will be released is only available to our development team and marketing managers. However, if an update patch or a newer version is released, they will immediately post it on our website so we advise you to check it on a regular basis."
While I work in Editing I can add titles and I can write in Hebrew (Use relevant font) While in the creation of DVD menus I can't. When I move to Hebrew mode in the Key board I can type but nothing is shown.
From my knowledge from other applications it is related to support of Uni Code. By the way it is the same in X2,X3 and X4 and allos in Move Factory 7. While in the old DVD workshop it works without any problems.
I have a photoshop banner which has been converted to .pdf. It is 111,019KB and I need to send it to someone else. I am having a hard time sending it via email, and ftp because of the large file size. I tried zipping it but it doesn't make a difference.

I click Edit with Photoshop Elements, it sends the file over to Elements. I do my edits in Elements, then click Save. It does come back into LR, but its still the PSD and I want it to be in DNG? Whats the best way to do this?
Is the only way it comes back is either a jpeg or psd? Or should I send files over in TIFF instead of PSD? And which color space should I be in?
