I've failed to get any sounds out of my version on my desktop even after uninstalling/reinstalling?? I have a version working well on my laptop. What can be the problem? It is a 'trial' version but I have paid for it and have a key but it doesn't seem to want me to enter it and there's no 'buy now' on drop-down menu in 'preferences'.
View 2 RepliesI have a question regarding Smart Sounds. Video Studio Pro3X had a "library" of smart sounds that allowed one to create music clips to match video duration. When I installed X4, I noticed the auto music function was not enabled. I also discovered that when smart sounds 5 tried to update in X3 that it maintained that it could not find the source file.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a 1 hour long project. Nothing too complicated. There are about 20 smart sound clips, no clip longer than about 4 minutes. If I disable the Smart Sound track, the project renders correctly. If I enable the smart sound track, I get a crash at about 95% along the render. If I select smaller portions of the project, say 15 minutes of it. It might render. Sometimes yes, some times a crash at 95%. what I can do to fix the crashing with smart sounds?
Note, same project on two different machines acts the same way. Reseting VS X6SP1 didn't change a thing.
How many free smart sounds are included with X4 ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen a few references to this in the boards. The sound is like "bleeps" or "heartbeats" only when playing the project. To hear the normal sound, you have to play the file. But if you have an overlay track, this makes it impossible to see how the main track and the overlay track look together while listening to the sound.
One recommended "solution" says to look at a particular youtube video (link provided), which I did. I thought it would provide a solution, but all it is is a demonstration of the problem.
Some say to re-install x3 without the service pack. It seems to me I was having this problem before I downloaded the Service Pack, and I hoped the Service Pack would FIX this problem. That makes me doubtful that the suggested re-install of x3 without the service pack will resolve the problem. And doesn't the Service Pack have other important features that would be missing without it? It's hard to believe the only component to the Service Pack was to screw up the audio.
Furthermore, uninstalling x3 and re-installing it looks like a very long and complicated process. I don't understand why, if Corel is aware of the problem, they don't provide a patch or update that fixes it. Why is it left to the presumably tens of thousands of users to each go through the difficult uninstall and reinstall process?
Do I have to invest in x4 to resolve the problem? I'm very bothered by that. Is there any guarantee that x4 doesn't have the same problem? Corel is aware of a problem with x3 and their response is to shell out another $50 to $99 to fix it? How do I know that x4 doesn't have a major problem that when Corel becomes aware of it, their answer will be to pay yet another $50 to $99 to buy x5?
I am completely new to movie editing of any sort and Corel VS x6 Ultimate is my first dipping of my toes so to speak.
When I import a movie into the timeline, the sound from that movie plays for approximately the first 2-4 minutes, and then cuts out. When looking at the sound mixer in the timeline, I can see where the wave simply cuts out at a point between 2 - 4 minutes (the actual time varies for each movie but it is within that 2-4 minutes bracket for all).
I have imported several movies and it is the same for each of them. The only time it doesn't happen is if the imported film itself is only of short duration (3-4 minutes). The other movies all are of approximately 10 minutes duration.
Is there a limit to how long a movie must be when importing to VS? If so, it seems awfully short?
The movies are game recordings made in game using Nvidia Shadow play. All of them play perfectly fine in an actual movie player with the full recorded sound throughout.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the VS software to no avail. I'd really lik to edit the raw footage from the games to make some nice edited movies (figured I would use these game movies to learn the VS software).
Somehow VS X4 has forgot several of the avi codecs on my Vista machine.

I've been using VS pro X2, but since getting Win 7 I got X3 for stability. This is the first time I've actually used it for a new video. Yesterday I had all of my titles available to me in X3, and was making a new video with them. After unsuccessfully attempting to open an X2 file (for some reason NONE of my X2 files will open in X3, VERY frustrating) for comparison, I opened X2 after closing X3. When I went in to open X3 again, ALL but 2 of my titles are now gone, and I only have 3 transitions (I have about 15 or so in X2). Where are all my effects and titles?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought the upgraded version of vsx2 (upgraded from vs10) and AGAIN i have experienced lost video filters.
The symptoms are slightly different, "video filters" are still listed in the drop down menu but when I click on them a tab pops up that read "all" when I click on that the library clears and only empty space is there, no filters. Is the fix the same as it was for VS10?
I am using VSP X3 Pro on a Windows 7 Professional 64bit PC. Input video files are AVCHD from a Canon SX 210s camera.
Picture format is QuickTime 1280x720, 24bit, frame rate 29.97, sound 16bit little Endian, 48000kHz, 16bit stereo. Files copied from an SD card.
I find that if I insert transition effects I lose the original recorded audio from that point forward in the clip that follows. If I do not use transition effects then the audio is fine. If I subsequently remove the transition then the audio is restored. It appears the transitions are the root cause of the problem. Identical problem if I use my Windows 7 32 bit laptop. The audio track remains visible in the timeline even when no sound can be heard.
Based on a previous suggestion I've used a workaround by converting the clips to a different format before editing. Using AVI, the audio in clips following a transition file is not lost but the video quality is seriously degraded.
I've reinstalled the software & all the three available patches. The problem has been around ever since I moved to my new PC on Windows 7.
While working on vspx2 it locked up. Rebooted and discovered that my main hard drive was not detected. My computer guy got it working again, but my hundreds of files (images, video clips, titles, audio clips) that I had stored in vspx2 library, so neatly organised, had disappeared. It became like it was when I first bought it. Everything was gone from the library, though they were still on hard drives. scattered everywhere.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter reviewing some of my rendered videos, I find out that most (if not all) of them lose or add a few frames during the rendering. This seems to happen within the first 30 seconds of my 3 minutes clips. My orginal MPEG2 files are OK, but not the rendered MPEG, after editing. To make sure of that, I review them in my Pro X4, I place the original on my main track, and I put the rendered MPEG on the overlay. I can then pin point the exact frame where that problem appears. My original file is of good quality and has been captured wih a hard disk camcorder (Sony SR100).

I can see the module but there are no options in the module so I am unable to do any share with it. What happened to the share module and how do I get it back? Also while looking at the I clicked on the capture module and it is not showing any option either. It looks like I have lost these. So now I can neither capture or share. The edit seems to be working but not the others. I have rebooted the computer and that did not work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use VS ver 10.0 and during working on a project there were no problems. I use different files (audio and video) and after rendering lost some mpg audio files. Video is still there but audio is muted. wma and one mpg files works fine.

I am using VS X3 and recently have a problem with it. At the time moive created there are couple clips in dark but they were ok when I edited them in the project status.

I finally installed it back again, For some reason, x4 samplesvideoPo3 UVP files doesn't exist. Actually I had Studio prox5,prior to buying the ultimate program. I also have problems with my auto music, cant find those files. I didn't think that I had the files from pro X 5. still in my computer, Is it possible to reinstall the prox5 and the missing files will be back where they should be?

View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded to X3 despite reservations on the 'Burn' capabilities (see many threads in this forum). Having completed a project I now want to burn a DVD. The options available in X3 do not excite me - it seems that there is a forced exit from X2 into either DVD Factory Pro or DVD MovieFactory 7 SE. Played with these but then breached my low boredom threshold (is it worth persevering with either of them? Both look a bit Mickey-Mouse)
Decided to fire-up my trusty copy of X2 and do the burn in that.
On the first screen I noticed that the 'Next' button is partially obscured by the 'Setting and Options' button. But enough is visible to proceed to next screen. But problem arises on next screen where 'Next' button has now become 'Back' button and 'Next' button is no longer visible. Therefore I can only go backwards but not forwards (a metaphor for life?)
Have tried an uninstall and reinstall of X2 but problem remains exactly the same. Did not have this problem before I installed X3 (on same computer).
Questions:
1. Is there a keyboard shortcut that will take me to the next screen when in Burn mode?
2. Is it worth persevering with either of the burn options in X3 or are both inferior to the X2 burn?
In video studio pro x4: At step 3 "share" I can create a video file like an mpeg, and it will retain all "nudges" I perform on the audio waveform of the music tracks (to keep volume down during a narration moment) . But when I burn a disk.....the music file plays like it's never been adjusted (full volume) when playing disc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 recently. I split a number of video files on a daily basis. This is what I do:
I take an Avi file that has a duration of about 30 minutes. I drag and drop the video into the "video track" area in the program.
Then I use the little "slider" thing and drag it to 15 minutes and click on the "scissors" symbol. which results in making the video split into 2 parts.
I delete the first part on the "video track" are and then I click on "share"-->"create video file"-->"custom"-->I choose Avi .
The compression I choose is Xvid Mpeg-4, 24 Bit RGB, and the Audio Format is Mpeg Layer 3, 8 Bits, 11.025 Hz Mono
The resulting video does not have any sound . This does not happen if I delete the 2nd part and create the video file with the first 15 minutes only. This happens with almost all of my videos (all of them are avi).
Capturing sd dv from a sony handycam using VS9 and a USB conection to pc. Few days ago all seemed to be ok was able to capture at 640x480 (I think) but now for some reason information section is showing 320x240 with a corresponding really poor quality preview. No matter what changes I try to make in the capture options or project properties etc it will not now allow me to capture at a higher quality. The options menus don't even show a higher quality available than 320x240. Tried at both AVI and Mpeg format capture settings but no change.

We've got some Sony XDCam footage coming into Premiere in a .MXF container. Playing back the audio yields a very 'crunchy' distorted sound. 'S' sounds sound lispy and there is generally a lot of additional noise.Opening these files in Sony Vegas doesn't have any audio problems at all, everything sounds fine which leads me to beleive that Premiere is the problem.
However, I've tried exporting audio from Sony Vegas to re-sync with the clips in Premiere, but the audio STILL sounds distorted and crunchy.Opening the audio in Audition ends up being a little better, but still not as clean as how the original audio sounds in Sony Vegas.
Here are all the details I've got for ya:
- Audio recorded in 3 channels, 2 stereo channels from the on board mic and 1 channel through a boom mic (The Sony cams handle up to 8 channels)
- Footage was ingested through Prelude and renamed when copied. (The actual files were not renamed, only the metadata that Prelude tags onto the clips)
- We are working on PC machines (Windows 8) as well as Mac (OS Mavericks) and ALL machines are having the same problem.- We experience the same problem regardless of whether the files are stored on our network NAS or locally
- We are all on the latest version of Premiere CC 7.2.1 (4)
I suspect that it has to do something with how Premiere is decoding the audio from the .MXF clips. Sony apparently decodes it just fine, which makes sense since the Cameras are Sony cams to begin with.I am now noticing that ALL audio in Premiere is experiencing this same effect! Regardless of container/codec.
Due to reinstalling VideoStudio 10 Plus because of a reported problem with Service Pack 1 [URL], I have lost the clips I placed in special Library Manager folders I had created. Are those gone for good or is there a way to relocate them on my computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, after many hours of work, and many saves, it seams I have lost a PSD file. After the program was responding very slowly, I decided to close and restart. While saving my file, there was a save error. I don't remeber exactly what it said, but it was something similiar to the filename was invalid. I thought nothing of it, since I had saved just prior, and closed the file without saving. When I go to reopen what I though would be the most recent saved file, it is missing. It's not there at all. There is nothing in the autosave folder either. I have yet to restart Photoshop, hoping there is something in the memory I can recover.

I accidentally deleted Bridge. When I try to run setup.exe from the CS2 installation disc I get: Error 1606 Could not access network location. My network access is live and other programs can connect. In CS2 Updates is greyed out.

I have AutoCAD LT 2014 at home but I use LT 2013 at the office. So, I thought I would do some work at home assuming that any changes in the two versions would not trip me up. NOT!
All I am trying to do is type text that represents 6" high letters on a sign. My default settings are all set to annotative text and dimensioning. When i start to create multiline text and select 6" for a 6" high letter, I get 6" height as if I am placing it in paper space. But I'm not; I am placing it inside a view port. However it keeps prompting me for the paper space height of the text. Now I know that since my viewport is set to 1/2" = 1'-0" the letter will be 1/4" high in the viewport. But i thought we had gotten away from having to do any conversions. I just want a 6" hight letter in the viewport. What am I doing wrong?
