I tried to plot a 3D view to pdf but I have strange shadows on the pdf file.
In revit it shows everything correct but on the pdf there happened something wrong.
I read the other articles about putting it to Raster Processing but that doesn't work.
Raster quality is on presentation (highest possible).
I printed with a cute pdf printer.
We have our first project in Revit that we are having to split among multiple sheets because of the size of the building, so I have made 3 dependent views from the main overall view, named them, cropped them and placed each part (A,B, and C) on separate sheets. Now that I am trying to do enlarged toilet plan views, I want to tag the plans with the plan callouts on the 1/8” sheets that are the dependent views, but all the view tags are referencing dependent view A since it is the first dependent view in the list. If I change sheet A to be named Sheet X for instance, all the view tags now reference sheet B since that becomes the first dependent view alphabetically. I want them to reference the sheet they appear in, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do that, even though they are in different dependent views completely and within the crop region, they all default to the first dependent view in alphabetical order.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm creating 3D architectural models; primarily interior views. I use the ANIPATH command quite frequently and I'm good there.
However, I have not been able to render a still camera view that shows the lighting and resultant shadows. Whenever I attempt to render a still from a particular camera; I set it to realistic. It shows the 3D objects with materials; however not the lighting.
I've been using ACAD for about 15 years now, and consider my skill level upper-intermediate.
So far, the only successful still renderings I've been able to do are those directly associated with the typical ortho views: i.e., NE, NW, SE, SW, front, back, etc. But no avail on rendering from the camera point of view.
I have loaded a conceptual mass family into the project and am getting jagged shadows in the default 3d view with shadows and the printed PDF (attached), regardless of the quality settings reflects this as well. Is there a way to adjust the precision of the shadow aliasing in the views. I know how to do it for a rendering.
I am running an Nvidia Quatro FX 2800 and have the latest recommended driver updates. I have tried adjusting the Aliasing manually from the card but am having no luck.
Why Camera Views is different from all other views in Revit. It is simple not possible to add a view reference, or a tag etc. to reference to a camera view.
Of course I can put in a 'dead' symbol to show where it is in plans, but that's simply not the same...
I have a building file with a site linked in. The site file has the retaining wall etc.
In the building file I have created some camera views and when you adjust the eye height the linked wall is distorted. note the correct alignment in perspective-01 and the distortions in *-02 & *-03.
1 have a PC (XP 32 bits with PhotoShop Element. V1.0) I have another PC (W7 64bits) with PhotoShop V10. I have a color laser printer Brother CN4040. All these advices are connected with Ethernet.
I have a problem with the colors when I print some JPG pictures with this printer only when I use the PC (W7 64 bits with PhotoShop V10). For example, a picture with blue/purple at the screens prints like brown. I precise that printed with the XP PC, all the time, the colors are true (blue/purple). The 3 toner cartridges are new. Before I bought PSE 10, I had the same problem with PSE 1.0 on the PC (W7). I tried many printing settings on the PSE (W7) without success. The color pictures seems OK at the 2 screens.
I recently bought a new computer system inc Dell U2711 monitor and purchased LR4 and CS6. All was well, or so I thought, until I got some prints done. The prints from my old system (with which I only used elements 10) look fine. Those from my new system look awful, the colours are just wrong. My workflow is RAW image opened in LR then finished off in CS6 before saving as JPEG. The saved images look alright but when I either click view/ proof colors or if I use an image as a desktop screensaver, it gives the same washed out appearance with wrong colours.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently Building a Library Technology Hub that has 3 story atrium. I'm trying to create a 3d camera view that shows the multiple levels that open to the atrium. However, only the 1st floor and mezanine floor (within 1st floor ceiling heights) are in my 3d view. The rendred view shows as if I have a solid ceiling across the entire 1st floor. I am almost positive that this is an issue with my camera settings since my 2nd and 3rd floors are cut around the atrium opening. I have clicked on almost every option in my properties menu and am at a loss!
Just btw, I'm an intermediate level, self-taught revit user (I have used it on a daily basis for about a year now). I'm no guru, but I'm quite savvy on making things work like I want them to.
I have attached a test render of the space. the "ceiling" should be open above my mezanine, and extend to desk at the right and the lounge seating at the left. However, it has rendered as a single plane.
After downloading Lightroom 4.4 (Mac) I see only the lenscorrection for the Fuji Finepix X100 and not my camera the Fuji XE-1.

It currently displays the plane shadows which are 2 planes crossed in the shape of an "X". I also noticed on others' systems their tree objects are more 3d and not images draped on planes. Is this due to graphics card?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm have an issue where my windows disappear behind my tree outline when I print. The trees are default revit deciduous trees. I have overridden element to make it 100% Transparent. Also I have tried to override it in visibility Graphics. [URL] ... Is this a problem with Revit 2014. This happens with both our paper printer, our plotter and adobe pdf so we know that its not a specific printer issue. Also it only happens in hidden line mode when changed to realistic mode, the windows print.
I have attached views of a printed to pdf view with the windows missing and a revit view of the same drawing before sent to the printer. As you can see it looks correct in my revit view.
For Nikon D50 cameras Adobe Creative Suite 6 does not read "As Shot" white balance data whether it's specified or not. It defaults to "Automatic". We have the problem only for Nikon D50 and only in Photoshop CS6, Adobe Camera Raw 7.3 and Photoshop Lightroom 4. (Not in CS5. Not for Nikon D5100 or D7000 or Canon S95) .

Running Lightroom 4.3 on my Mac, I have my D600 set to shoot using "Camera Neutral" profile. However, upon import into LR, for some reason, it changes to "Adobe Standard" profile. I can change it to camera neutral, but it's difficult.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have some Plumbing "Fixtures" that aren't showing up when the plan is printed. In the view they are visible, but in the print they disappear as if to be covered up by the wall. Unless the "Fixture" is slightly outside of the wall then it will show up. What could be causing this? The fixtures that we're using are simply model lines that form a circle since they're only there to hold a place in a schedule for its info.
So as you can see the dots are visible but when I go to print they disappear...
Just upgraded to REVIT 2013 and now many types of lines are not visible on screen- randomly it seems. Also, sometimes they don't print, either. I've tried increasing the fineness of the view, changing the material definitions, etc. Most often this is happenning when I have opened an old file and had it automatically update the file. Also, it seems to happen within asurface texture, but it is not limited to that circumstance.

I am exporting a view of a floor plan with the naming convension "Automatic - Short" and the "Export views on sheets and links as external references" turned off. When i proceed the resulting file has a date of June 25th 2013 at 4:46pm...today is October 16th , 2013 at 9:08am...according to my computer.
I've tried multiple times over the last couple weeks and have had the same result.The weird part is if I switch to the "Automatic - Long (Specify prefix)" or "Manual (Specify name)" naming convension the date ends up being correct.
The fact that the naming convension doing this and not any of the other settings makes me think it is a Revit issue and not my computer.
I just can`t figure out what's wrong with this Philips lights from the Seek - can't get any useful output from those. (Day-Brite DayLed 2x2 45W unit on the attached image files)

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn civil 3d 2014 i need 2 sections (and a profile) all with different scales in the viewports (layout). Sizing of the labels and bands is all fine, only a text item is not updated. I need to display the scale (the number) for the current section (or profile), it works but the scale shown is always the scale from the model and not the scale from the viewport, so the different scaled sections all have the same text in the label, e.g 1:200, even if they are correctly scaled to different factors in defferent viewports.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just discovered that Spot Elevation text is mesbehaving in rotated dependent views:
If you have an orthogonal parent plan view, then create a dependant view from it, then rotate just that dependant view, then place a spot elevation - the spot elevation symbol respects the rotation of the view (ie its paralel to screen/view boundary), but the spot elevation text remains in the orientation of the parent view. see attached image.
This does not happen if you rotate a normal Revit plan view; nor does it happen with a callout - both cases the symbol and the text are parallel to the view boundary. I think this is a bug?
