I have to generate a script log for my feature film, essentially every spoken word with associated time code. I was wondering if I could use Premiere to do this? Could I import a Quicktime of my film, pair it with the shooting script and use the Speech Anyalysis to generate a text file with timecodes?
View 1 RepliesI have a friend who is just completing a film for a public screening...(about 400 people, mostly volunteers involved in production.)He will be using a regular projector hooked up to a PC to play the video.The source footage is 1080p HD shot on a HVX200. Edited on Premiere Pro CS5.
What format should he use to export so he gets great quality but it can also play without the computer stuttering and dying etc? We've debated between H.264 (mpeg 4 file format) or DVD Blu Ray.MPEG 2 (or some Quicktime format?)
Do we choose h.264 and bump up the bitrate to maximum? Stick with the preset recommendation? There also is h.'264 bluray'..have no idea what difference that makes.
We're not experts on codecs and resolutions etc.Premiere Pro presents this plethora of options.
We want to choose....File ...Export....a format and preset (and maybe adjust a setting or two) and get the best result.
i am starting a film project to edit, what is the exact 2k project sequence settings & project settings,like frame rate,2k resolution size,progressive or ?the project pipeline is - premiere to speedgrade to Lab print(Negative or UFO or Qube)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI started a project and watch a lot of files in the source monitor to set IN and OUT points. When the file playes f.e. more than a minute the sound gets muted while the film is still running. First I thought it wood be a matter of my external HD from where I loaded the files. Now that I take the same or any other files from my internal sata 3 harddrive the behaviour is still the same.
When i scroll the mouse wheel to move some frames back and forth the sound is back when i hit the space bar. It's the same if i just hit the space bar once to pause and then hit it again to resume.
The effect shows after different amount of times, sometimes after 45 sec. and sometimes after 2 minutes +
I am running Pr Pro CS6 (latest update installed some days ago) on a windows 7 ultimate x64, 16 GB of ram, Nvidia GTX 670, i7 3770, HD is a WD caviar black
The movie clips come from a Panasonic Lumix FZ 150 in FullHD resolution as h.264 MP4 files.
I am quite sure that some months ago this behaviour was not present. I did not change anything on Premiere CS6 but running the updates.
Currently I’m riding my Premiere Pro CC skateboard on “L” plates and already I’ve hit a tree and landed on my backside. I filmed a video of my daughter with my DSLR camera and shot my take vertically. No doubt this is a clear sign to all of you reading this that I am a beginner, I mean a trainee-wheels-nappies-spoon-fed beginner. When importing my vertical file it lies horizontal in this CC editor. Surely this must be some button to push to rotate my take back to vertical. Meanwhile I’ll fix myself up with some band-aides and thumb through the ABC book to the part about horizontal out-put devices.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I import the XML file, it then askes me to re-connect. All that works great, but it does not generate a sequence with the subtitles.
I have a company create subtitles for my company and they use swift/softel program. They send me the XML + all associated PNG files. We've been using Final Cut for years, but are trying to switch to AP. In FCP it generates a sequence that matches the timecode they exported.
I'm on a Mac OS X 10.7.5 using Adobe Premiere CC.
Any way to generate a date created field for sequences ala Avid?
I find a lot of date metadata fields but none of them work for sequences. Im in 7.2.1
Something is wrong with the audio panning feature in Premiere pro CC.I've been panning my audio clips to the left and right for about a year now. never had a problem before today.On the sequence time line: Select the audio clip in A1 in the "Audio Effects" window: pan the clip 100% left DITO clip in A2 but pan it 100% right Play the sequence: the "audio track mixer" shows Audio 1: left channel only. Audio 2 right channel only
Today: after going thru the panning ritual: both channels play in Audio 1 and Audio 2 (not in a panned formation)
-So I repeated in a fresh CC Same result... closed/opend the project ... rebooted the computer ...same result moved the clips onto different tracks: got different results in the audio track mixer sometimes they showed panned sometimes not.
-So I tried muting a track: then the othre track showed panned. Just plain weird.
-So I repeated the procedure in CS6: no problem. everything was correct.
-So I repeated it yet again in CC: all messed up.
We are using iPart - iAssembly workflow with Inv-2013 and Vault Basic 2013
My question is related to released state of iparts. Currently we are generating/ releasing
all the iparts when new member is added in order to manintain the parent child version relationship
Example : say i have a ipart 41020.ipt and i have members 41020- 001 ~ 008 . I check out the parent
from Vault and add 009 member to it.
Question :
Do I have to generate all and check those in to maintain the version relationship between the child and parent inside
Vault 2013 ?
Or
Only generating 009 will maintain version relationship inside Vault 2013

I have been working with some GIS data in the form of SHP files in autocad map 3D 2011. On one of my layers I have started getting "Feature was not saved in the target feature source" when I try to check in my data. In total there are 308 errors in the data table, all of which were features I deleted. They all have a featID of null and I cannot remove them from the data table. I need to fix these errors without going back and starting over.

I like to use the sharpen feature and the unsharp mask feature but haven't gotten very good at it. Mostly I'm wondering if there is a way to calibrate the sharpen function so that it doesn't sharpen quite so much each time I click it.

I always use Adobe Bridge CS5 when I need to see a fosmag on the effects in After Effects CS5, but can not get it to work and then I can also see the Video Transitions in Adobe Premiere CS5
Syncing in plural eyes is good with our pro res files, but when I try and sync with some mp3 files from a zoom h1 recorder it goes black at the bottom of the timeline and responds really buggy.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove a red fog band from an image I've scanned. I've tried following the method detailed in the Martin Evening book where he takes the green channel and pastes it to a layer above the main image. He then sets the layer to darken.
Trouble is in his image in the book the red goes grey and the unaffected part of the image only discolours slightly. On my image the majority of it goes grey with only one or two colours showing through at all (yellow mostly).
Moving onto the next step of colourizing the image cyan makes little difference.
how to create pix like this, is it a effect are is it the camera.

I developed this roll at school a few years ago, and thanks to a less than perfect plumbing system I had to develope in water that was too cold. The film of course came out super grainy, and to top it off a few of the photos "somehow" got scratched in the school's drying closest (imagine that.) I've played around with them a bit, trying to fix them up, but my corrections always seem really obvious or compromise the image.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have started my project with the Instant Project function (middle category) and I am trying to apply the Old Film filter effect to my project but I want most of the original colour to come through. Rather than have the whole thing sepia with scratches and dust, I would like it mostly colour but with scratches and dust etc.
I have clicked on the strip of film that I want to edit the filter on and clicked 'Customize Filter' in the options. From there I clicked 'Duotone' and edited the picture there to how much colour I would like to show through. The problem is, when I click 'Ok', the colour hasn't changed when I go back and replay it. It is still all sepia and not colour.
I have a problem with Pro X4. With Studio 11 Pro, I was able to view the film during saving to file but I cannot with X4. I can't find a solution in the user guide.

I have got to the Preview stage which works perfectly and then I am told to click on "Next" but all I am offered is a "Back" button. The instructions say that I should click on "Show more output options" but that is not there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used Corel Video Studion for a number of years. I purchased VideoStudio Pro X4 some months ago and have no problem until now.Having edited a film into five segments. I have re-edited each segment with success until I got to the last one, having saved the earlier ones at each stage so only dealing with one at a time. On saving the last segment all went well until playback when I got the correct audio BUT the picture is now just a BLUE screen and nothing else. In desperation I delted the programme from the computer then reloaded, updated with service pack 1 and 2. Also, followed an on line recommendation to putin a new dll detail. Restarted the computer, downloaded the film and re-edited the final segment. It did seem to save quicker but AGAIN i have the correct audio BUT the same BLUE screen and for the life of me I do not know why.

I am also looking for some information on making a shiny metal background for a website. I have tried many different tutorials, but have yet to find what I am looking for. I want to reproduce a Silver background with a high gloss effect.
Anyone happen to know of a good "melting film" tutorial? I'm looking for a photoshop version of what we've all probably seen on tv. Film strip stopping and getting melted by the projector bulb.
