View 4 RepliesI just finished a film in Adobe Premiere Pro where I use different footage (2.7K 25 fps, 1080 25 fps, 1080 50 fps). I exported this film as a H.264 bluray file. My question is: how do I get this file on a disc? I have a BD burner, but I don't know which software to use to get it nailed, so I can play it in my BD player.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to video editing and also VS X4, but have been able to create a movie from Canon HFM 301 camera using imported clips (AVHCD). The total movie length is 1:25. When I go to burn disc, it informs me it is too long and canot fit on a single disc (4.7 GB) but there seems to be no alternatives available, for example, how to compress, etc. Do I have to manually create a second movie for a second disc? Are there settings or another step I need to take?

I looked it up and it says something about Encore. Is that something I have already? If so, how do I access it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAE CS5 is saying a file path is too long when I do a collect file. The image sequence in question is only 7 directories deep -- which doesn't seem too buried considering how AE wants to structure collected files: /Volumes/HardDrive/ProjectName/CollectFileFolder/(Footage)/CompName/Pr ecompName/results/3Dimage_multipass0000.tif
Is it number of directories deep or overall number of characters in the entire path that's the issue?

View 9 Replies View RelatedPSE 10 Elements Organizer in "Building index ..." has stayed at 73% for 17 hours. Is it frozen? Is it time to cancel and re-start indexing? Reason for asking, when tried to convert PSE 8 to 10 in April, Adobe did not state that the freeze at 34% was "normal". Have since then not been able to do a backup and had to manually move 4000+ photos from various files (resulting from the multiple conversion attempts) into the appropriate file to reconnect and just completed that task yesterday. All files were reconnected; the catalog was repaired even though did not need to be and now the indexing problem. It's been a long 6 months of struggle.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded/installed Video Studio X4 Pro. Quite impressive. I've been using Roxio but too many problems so wanted to see if Corel is better. Have a minor problem that I haven't been able to solve. Background: I have 16 individual videos of foreign "soap operas" (all approx 3.7gb). All videos are either mpeg2 or avi. I copied all of them with no problem. Then, I wanted to eliminate some useless things at the beginning and end of each one. I went into a video editing program and trimmed approx 5 secs from the beginning and end of each video. After the trimming, I saved the videos to my hard drive in the My Videos folder in the Libraries. Then, because of some difficulties with Roxio, I decided to try Corel.
When I import a video, click on Tools, Create Disc, DVD, unmark Menu, then Burn, I always get the error telling me the total size is larger than the chosen project. This is what I don't understand. If the video, which is approx. 3.7gb,and I'm using a 4.7gb dvd, why am I getting this error? FYI: I went ahead and clicked on Yes, try to fit to disc, and after approximately 45 mins, it completed, ejected the disc and all I had was approx. 1/8" burn area. The properties of that disc showed it was a video.ts and when I clicked on it, the windows player opened and said can't be rendered. I don't under stand why X$ Pro says a 3.7gb video is over 7gb.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNot that it matters, I don't think, but I have been unable to burn an ISO file onto a usable DVD. In the Sharing module of VS Pro X6, after opting to burn a DVD, I select both "Create Folders" and "Create Disc Image." Both are created where I send them and I have no trouble creating usable DVDs by burning the folders onto a blank DVD after telling the Cyberlink burning software that I'm creating a video DVD. But I can't figure out a way to burn the ISO file disc image onto a DVD except as a data DVD, which, unsurprisingly, does not create a usable video DVD. (Cyberlink, at least, will not recognize the ISO file or the folder that it's in to burn a video DVD.) Is there a way within X6 to burn video DVDs from the saved ISO disc image (or from the saved folders for that matter) without re-rendering the video clips? (Also, while I'm asking, I take it that there is no difference between a DVD created from folders and the same content created from an ISO image. If this is right, why the two options?)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI seem to have inadvertently done something that has increased the time it takes to burn a DVD or ISO Image file from less than an hour to over 7 hours. I'm working on my first project, and have burned several discs along the way, and most burn in well under an hour. Then ... I must have changed something without understanding what it meant, and the time to burn has increased by around 10 X. Hardware acceleration for everything is On, and disabling it slows the process down even more.
The project is a video slide show with 994 photos, a music track ripped within VS5 from a CD to wav files. The project ends up just over 5 GB to burn to DVD. I tell it to let DVD Fit adjust the size down and it does reduce it to 4.38 GB.
Another thing I noticed, is that after letting it run to completion, instead of it taking up most of the DVD, the DVD is only half full even though I'd expect it to be almost full with 4.38 GB and it has been up until this problem started. And if I make an ISO Image instead, it is less than 2 GB in size instead of close to 4.38 GB. I'm wondering if some how I told it to do a massive job of compression?
FYI - I'm using the trial version of VS5, so it may not have SP 1 installed, and it appears that SP 1 cannot be installed on a trial version.
I'm using the free trial version of Videostudio X5 and have 3 video files I am trying to burn to a BD-R disk. The files are H.264 and when I preview it before burning, the menu I created works fine. One of the three files is large, over 9gb. When I burn the disk, the large video file is not burning correctly. When I go into that file from the menu, it just loops back to the first menu item. I tried burning just the large file to a BD-R and it worked fine. The total project size is around 17 gb so I'm under the 25 gb limit. I think the next thing I'll try is breaking the large video file into two files. I'd like to buy the software if I can get past this glitch.

I am on a 64 bit Windows 7 HP computer with AutoCAD 2010, and I am having a problem plotting a long (24" X 190") drawing file. We have a RICOH Aficio MP W3600 PS plotter. I have gone through the proper procedure through the Plotter Manager all the way to Select Custom Paper Sizes but the Add button is grayed out and I can't add a new user size. I was able to do this with AutoCAD 2004 on a Windows XP system but can't on this setup.

My old scene has a "render output" path to a no longer exists netzwork drive. This slow down max on save. Maybe max always tries to access the not existing network drive, every time ;(
(1) whether VS Pro X4 will support the 3D video clip taken from Panasonic HDC-SDT750 3D capable camcorder?
(2) If it is supported by VS Pro X4, how do you render or burn the 3D video file onto BD disc so that it would be recognised as a 3D video format disc and playable in a 3D Blu-ray player?
What is the most safest file format for storing image data? I am thinking in terms of drive failure. Suppose you have a precious picture and you do not want it to be corrupted by a single bit failure by the drive. My undestanding is saving an image in a compressed format is most insecure because failure of a few bits can lead to gross decompression problems. My other understanding is that RAW formats that store the individual pixels are the safest. Consider 2 situations:
1. The RAW file header becomes corrupted. You can still recover data by interpolating and "guesstimating" from the existing data.
2. Actual image data becomes corrupted in a certain region of the file. You can interpolate around the lost areas to recover the image.
There are no tools that I know of that are designed to specifically accomplish 1 and 2. Honestly, if I had a precious picture, I would save it in RAW format in 2 or 3 different physical drives. Also, are there tools to recover data from corrupted photoshop psb/psd files?
So since we installed CorelDraw x6 the one file we have been working on is a long text file and it slowes every thing down drasticly. We did think updating would work so we did that and it still lags.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a vaulted project with about 1000 parts in it and a subfolder within that that has about 250 parts in it.I am told that vault does not manage references outside the project scope as defined by the IPJ which in theis case is at that 1000 part folder level.
If I go to rename the folder with 250 parts in it, it takes up to a half hour. I am having trouble believing that vault can't do better than a half hour to manage the references of a subfolder of a project with 1000 parts in it, when only 250 parts are affected.
Also, I notice a secondary ipj file is created temporarily during the renaming. That ipj appears under an inventor folder under my docs. Can't see why it takes two ipj files to manage one project. Also don't understand why there should be a local ipj file active when I am renaming at the vault level. I am suspicious that this other ipj (named after my company name, indicating a purposeful act) is expanding the scope of reference management since its parent resides at the root Vault explorer ($) separate of the projecy ipj. Also takes way too long to rename individual files.
