Also, why not??? Really??? My webcam works with stop motion but my Canon camera can't? I paid 500.00 for a camera that I can't use with VS Ultimate X6? If not, whats so Ultimate about it?

Would be cool to get FULL support for the dual analogue sticks of the windows Xbox controller as i'm struggling to map the controls to how i want.

I've recently changed from PC to Laptop and reinstalled Videostudio x4.
On my last PC (which was considerably older and less capable) while using the stop-motion editor, I could capture in upto 1280 x 720 resolution using my Microsoft Lifecam 5000 HD - however now with the same camera after the reinstall the highest resolution on the drop-down menu is 640 x 480 which obviously isnt widescreen or anywhere near in terms of resolution.
One thing which could be related is that on this laptop I have two lots of "program files" - "Progam Files" and "Program Files (x86)". The program itself is installed on the x86 section but when VS is searching for sample videos or overlays etc they've all needed relinking as its attempting to find them in the normal "Program Files" folder - could the resolution problem be a similar relinking issue?
My son has taken an interest in creating stop-motion animation with his Lego building sets using Corel Video Studio 4. I have experimented with using our video camera (JVC Everio) as well as several of our digital cameras (Nikon "Coolpix", a semi-generic Canon, etc.) to capture the images "live" and then import them using the stop-motion creator in the CVS4 program with no luck. The best I can do is use a webcam. The problem is that the lens aperture and resolution on the webcam is so small that it creates a sub-optimal image.
I am thinking I will need to invest in a DSLR (which I have been thinking about getting anyway) in order to effectively use this feature. suggest a DSLR that will merge with CVS4 and allow me to capture the image live from the camera and produce better animations? I have looked at a Nikon d3100 and the Canon EOS Rebel - leaning toward the Nikon (for no particular reason) but want to make absolutely sure it will interface with CVS4 like this.
I made the stop motion effect by the multi trim,and every time after 35-50 sec the software crash,i have to save my work every time before the vs4 crash,what should i do?

I saved the .bip file and what I want to do now is load the walk cycle and loop it a couple of times so that I can fine-tune a couple of things. The problem is that when I load the .bip file from the "Load Motion Capture File", I get many unwanted keys, as if I were loading a MoCap file or something. I want the same keyframes I used in the original animation, just looped. Been playing with Key reduction settings for a bit, but couldn't figure out how to do what I need.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am animating comps in After Effects CS6, and I'm quickly moving objects across the screen using positioning keyframes and changing size using scaling keyframes. Most of the time it works great; but sometimes the motion blur effect keeps appearing *after* the object has stopped moving. Not just for a second -- but forever. It appears correct when scrubbing on the timeline, but when I render the final output movie, a non-moving object sometimes has motion blur all over it.
Sometimes I can fix it by un-parenting some layers inside the comp... other times it doesn't fix it. Sometimes I just delete it and start over and it works. Seems more like a bug then something I'm doing wrong.
I also tried on my Mac Pro tower and Macbook Pro laptop in case it was a graphics card issue; it isn't, the exact same problem manifests itself in both areas. I did just discover that turning continuous raster OFF does seem to fix the problem--but then my vector images are blurry when I zoom in... and that again sounds more like a bug, not like an incorrect setting.
I have a Nikon D3100 camera and I am trying to use it to make stop animation movies. When I plug it in via USB I can import videos/photos to my computer, etc...so it is recognized. However, when I try to use it in VideoStudio X4 the only option I get is a webcam. Are there any special drivers I need to make this work? I have searched google a bit, but maybe I am missing something. I am using the trial version of the program to try and get things worked out before I actually purchase it. The software looks wonderful for stop animation so I really want to make this work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust as the headline says. I shot a wedding and accidently forgot to change the frame rate (Sony AVCHD, if it matters). I need the clip to get to 24fps without using slow motion (I need it to look real time) and I need the audio from the clip as well. So, clearly going to Interpret Footage>Frame Rate won't work because the audio and film slow down. Even unganging it as instructed by Adobe in the manual doesn't work quite right.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a list of motion capture, those mocap didn't track the fingers so the hands are always opened. In some of these mocap I need the biped hand to be closed. I've been looking for a solution for about a day now. I think I'm in the good way which is to create a biped layer animation where the hands are closed and link the hands of that layer to the original layer. so I would be able to save that layer and apply it to every mocap animation that need to be readjusted. The only problem is that I'm not sure if it's the better way and I don't know the procedure.

I can't stand Final Cut anymore at least it had a scope with the capture tool.
I am considering buying CS6 with Premire Pro. I use Final Cut Pro currently. I need to be able to capture from a sony using DV mini tapes for some old footage (DCR-TRV8 cmera model). I read some issues about firewire capture. This is on a MAC by the way not windows. Should CS6 & Premire be able to do this?

I finished rigging my character and wanted to drive my blendshapes by the relative position of my tracking data, e.g. distance between corners of the mouth drive the "wide" blendshape and so on...
Hope YOU know a solution for this, I believe blendshapes are THE way to create realism in tracked animation but I was not able to find ANY reference to something like that. I'd like it to be customizable and not to expensive, so the imagemetrics faceware service won't do for me
When I start capture in Premiere Pro CS6 on my Mac (Mavericks OS), it stops capturing after a few seconds. I did not have this problem with CS5.5 or Leopard OS.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently started using OSX. Using CS6 Premier Pro on OSX Mavericks.I'm capturing DV tape from a Canon GL2.Both "Scene Detect" and "Tape" options selected.
Two problems:
1. Capture drops out at the first frame of video. I press record a second time and it proceeds to capture the rest of the tape. It almost looks like Premier is trying to determine the aspect ration of the material as the preview window appears to switch between 4:3 and 16:9.
2. Scene Detect is off by a frame or two (not sure exactly how many). So basically the end of the shot has a frame or two of the next shot.
I had a green screen clip. Keyed out the green in PPro and exported as an flv alpha channel to get transparent background. When I put the flash file on a webpage it keeps looping. How can I set the output in PPro to autoplay (which it does now) but stop after it has played through once?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen editing a multicamera sequence, I keep running into this weird phenomenon where I can't stop the playback. I hit the space bar, start making cuts, then when I want to stop I hit the space bar again and nothing happens. The sequence keeps playing, sometimes stopping after a couple a minute or so, sometimes not until the end of the sequence.
The nested multi-cam sequence has just 4 streams of DSLR video. The machine I'm using has plenty of CPU power and memory and an nVidia GPU, so I'd be surprised if resources are a problem. The source media is on a Raid-0 array.
I've tried switching the resolution to 1/4, but this makes no difference. I have several layers of audio but have solo'ed just one to see if that would work. No.
AJA's web site claims Premiere Pro CC is compatible with the Kona LHi card, but I can't get the two to work together properly. After repeated tries, I uninstalled and reinstalled everything AJA, but still no luck.
I need to batch capture DV clips from some mini-DV tapes on my Sony MVR035U tape deck. But I also need to upconvert them from 480i to 720p60 using my Kona Lhi card. I should be able to do this with Premiere Pro CC. But the PPCC Capture window won't give me any audio feedback when I select "AJA Movie Capture" in the Capture Settings pull down menu. I only get audio feedback when I enable "DV capture" but then I'm no longer able to upconvert.
Is it possible to capture video using Premiere Pro (or any other program from the Adobe Creative Suite) directly from my dvd player on my PC or my superdrive? If not, how can I capture video from DVDs? These are not copyright protected DVDs. They are copies on DVD of on-camera work I have done that I would like to digiitize to make a demo reel.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI started a project and watch a lot of files in the source monitor to set IN and OUT points. When the file playes f.e. more than a minute the sound gets muted while the film is still running. First I thought it wood be a matter of my external HD from where I loaded the files. Now that I take the same or any other files from my internal sata 3 harddrive the behaviour is still the same.
When i scroll the mouse wheel to move some frames back and forth the sound is back when i hit the space bar. It's the same if i just hit the space bar once to pause and then hit it again to resume.
The effect shows after different amount of times, sometimes after 45 sec. and sometimes after 2 minutes +

The movie clips come from a Panasonic Lumix FZ 150 in FullHD resolution as h.264 MP4 files.
I am quite sure that some months ago this behaviour was not present. I did not change anything on Premiere CS6 but running the updates.
I get a black capture screen when capturing with CS6 on a Windows 7 machine. I'm capturing through Fire wire from DV tape, via the VCR function of a Canon XL2 camera. I have tried restarting, etc.; also toggled the "preview video" radio from the Settings button in the capture Window. Nothing works and I need to be able to preview my video as I'm capturing. It is not good enough that the video actually captures fine. Also, I am forced to turn off Device Control in order to capture because it kicks me out of every capture (an immediate message of : "no frames captured") unless I do.
