Feb 16, 2008I've been trying to get a natural looking, slightly crumpled/torn paper effect but have had little success.. THIS WEBSITE is exactly what i'm looking to recreate.. not only the background but also the top of the header and the "torn straight out a notebook" paper halfway down the screen.

Mar 29, 2011I need to create the effect of crumpled paper WITH text on it. The image should look like somebody typed a letter on a typewriter, and then crumpled it up and opened it up again.It's easy enough to do the crumpled paper effect, but I'm having difficulty making the text conform to the myriad creases of the crumpled paper, so that it looks like the text actually was crumpled (because, after all, the text is now part of the paper).
I have tried a bunch of blending methods, but am having no luck. Do you think this might be a manual warping job?

Dec 19, 2005The cracks (two levels of texture) are very well done. Lots of the grunge effect. Orange/Red photo filter over the top of it to give it some uniformity.

To me it looks like layers, transparency etc by placing the worn edge on top of any image, just want to be able to create the worn edge in the first place.

Nov 10, 2004I'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

Jan 27, 2008before when i wanted a 8.5" X 11" size i would just put a piece of paper on my screen and size it up with what i had in PS....i know barbaric right !
the only reason i do that is when i make a new Doc and use a preset " Letter " it pulls up huge on the screen 25% , not actual size.
