View 9 RepliesI've been trying to get a natural looking, slightly crumpled/torn paper effect but have had little success.. THIS WEBSITE is exactly what i'm looking to recreate.. not only the background but also the top of the header and the "torn straight out a notebook" paper halfway down the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to create the effect of crumpled paper WITH text on it. The image should look like somebody typed a letter on a typewriter, and then crumpled it up and opened it up again. It's easy enough to do the crumpled paper effect, but I'm having difficulty making the text conform to the myriad creases of the crumpled paper, so that it looks like the text actually was crumpled (because, after all, the text is now part of the paper).
I have tried a bunch of blending methods, but am having no luck. Do you think this might be a manual warping job?
How can I achieve this crumpled corner effect this artist has put on this cover art?

The cracks (two levels of texture) are very well done. Lots of the grunge effect. Orange/Red photo filter over the top of it to give it some uniformity.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow the following effects were made on this photo. I remember seeing a tutorial once that achieved this basic effect (which I'm calling a 1970's aged look, for lack of a better term), but I have been unsuccessful finding it. It looks like some Saturation tweaking is happening,

You see the circle? I've seen it done before. Where you can make your design look worn out especially with the worn out vinyl circle. I remember getting a catalog from VEER once and some designer had done two sleeves like that.
doing is applying a faded edge type effect to some images, the effect I'm after is used on the following website
not sure if this was done in photoshop or not but if it were to be, how would one do it?
To me it looks like layers, transparency etc by placing the worn edge on top of any image, just want to be able to create the worn edge in the first place.

The aim is to make a black print on transparent background with transparent scratched "holes". Are there any tips how to do this?
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

before when i wanted a 8.5" X 11" size i would just put a piece of paper on my screen and size it up with what i had in PS....i know barbaric right !
the only reason i do that is when i make a new Doc and use a preset " Letter " it pulls up huge on the screen 25% , not actual size.
