Aug 19, 2006i am trying to do the paper clip tutorial, however, i just found out that i did not have the paper clip custom shape in my photoshop 7.
Anyone knows were i could get it for free or will someone be kind enough to send me a copy of the paper clip custom shape for photoshop?

Nov 10, 2004I'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

Nov 22, 20121. I put a clip in a timeline , then i put a cfx clip on top of the first clip. Add axis clip to cfx clip, set transparancy to 100% (fully transparent) , when hit render , this cfx is still calculated.
2. if i have stack of cfx clips, the clips are solid (no matte or transparancy ). one clip is on top of the other. In the top layer , i add a axis fx and cut a very small hole. We can see even a very small hole ( that will exposed small part of the bg ) will trigger smoke to render both of the clip full frame. Actually i only will see small part of the BG so i'm expecting smoke to render only that visible pixel. How to control this ? In some case i will waste my time waiting smoke to render part that i don't need.

How do I do that effect where I can clip out her head and shoulders so that it will show up on the top over the text, while still retaining the entire background? Feb 9, 2003Using the tutorial on page 2 of Animated Text in PS (using 6.0), I am not getting the desired result. Ctr/Alt click on the line between the text and image layer only results in dancing ants around text. It does not cut the image as in your example.
If the cursur is place low I get: Group with previous (in history); if it is placed evenly on the line I get Load selection.

Apr 8, 2009I was just playing around and wanted to put a text layer on top of another layer, I hit a problem with drop shadows though.
I would like the drop shadow only to appear on the bottom layer, at present it drops some of the shadow into what is empty space

Arh seems I can not upload images yet, well think of a transparant background
layer one is an oval disk and layer two is some text.
The text starts half way up the disk and reaches above it, I want to get rid of the drop shadow that is above the disk.

Is there a way to clip the effects to the bottom layer, I have been messing with masks but its not happening for me.

Jun 9, 2013Trying to finish up first video project shot with 5D MK11 in 1080p.
I had to convert all clips to smart objects it seems to adjust highlights.
I had rendered the project once to 1080P but forgot part of one clip and dragged it into PS.
It is the exact same size but is not positioned correctly and I lose part of the right edge.
I thought it would fix itself with rendering it to 1080P as the image and canvas size are identical and from the same shoot--but it didn't.I hit "fit in screen" or actual pixels but not sure that matters.

I had to manually apply this effect at every frame in the Photoshop's Timeline, which takes a to long... I would love to do it to whole clips. What's the best workflow for that?
A way I tried w little success before was to split the clip into individual frames, (forget how to do that) & then apply a batch command to all the pics, I remember trying this method & it not working w/ Oil Paint effect.
