Photoshop :: Turn Off Nag

I got a new HP computer. All I have loaded is CS3 Premium and Artizen. It has Vista Premium as the OS, it came OEM. So far I've managed to strip it down as much as I can..( remove all the trial software it came with ). This computer isn't connected to the internet nor do I want it connected. I use it strictly for Digital photography and my internet connection is on another machine. I want this one 'virus', spam and spyware free. ( sterile ).
So here's the problem... I keep getting this 'NAG' that I don't have an anti-virus program running and my computer's at risk. How do I tell the damn machine that I am not connected to the internet and don't want an anti-virus eating up my resources and to leave me alone?

20110421veiwports turning off.jpg AutoCAD isnt being nice to me lately another hassle i have is the viewports randomly turn off ( they dont show anything) and when i turn those ones on, others turn off.
i dont know how to change the topic to "solved" however a collegue told me to enter MAXACTVP at the command line the value was 16, i was told to set it to 64 ( i had 21 viewports ) and they all came on.

I would like to take 2 Rounded Rectangle shapes that I have rotated by 45 degrees and make them one shape so that the Paths of each rectangle become one. I've looked up Paths, Shapes and other things in the manual but I've been unable to narrow down the right keywords to find what I'm looking for.

I have used the Pen Tool but I'm not satisfied with the outcome of the Rounded Corners. I know I can use Combine Shapes but not when I first need to Rotate the shape.Â
Pretty sure I've done this before but for the life of me I cannot recall how nor can I find it in my notes. Here's a pic of what I want to change into one shape with one continuous path.

No matter what I do, the pen tilt won't turn off! It happens on all brushes, Whenever I change the angle at which I'm holding the pen, the shape of the line the brush makes changes. It won't stop, even when I adjust the settings in Shape Dynamics. I'm not very experienced with different brushes, and a little while ago I was adjusting one, and now the pen tilt won't stop. I use Photoshop CS6 and an Intuos4 Tablet, on Windows 7.

I am on a PC with Windows 7 using CS5.5 Extended. I am doing some very fine masking and when I get to 600% zoom level grid lines appear around each pixel. Is there a way to turn off the lines?

I've been using Photoshop for several years now and have never had this come up before.. I'm using Photoshop CS... and I used the Feather feature on my last project... closed Photoshop... then I opened Photoshop today and am trying to crop photos.. but the marquee still thinks i'm in Feather mode.. and wont' give me a sharp selection for cropping - it keeps reverting back to rounded corners (like with Feathering).. and won't crop properly... no matter how many times i select the rectangle/square marquee tool...it seems to think Feathering is still "turned on"... how do i get it to "turn off"?

I use Photoshop for just about everything. Lately I've been doing a lot of isometric pixel art. I have encountered a problem when trying to use the free transform tool and that is it automatically anti-alias when I click the commit button.
I do not want smooth lines. I just want the pixels, no matter how jagged they look. Is there a way to stop free transform from automatically smoothing the lines? Is there an option to turn off smoothing?

way to turn off auto aliasing on raster layers that are either standard of a smart object. For example I have a rastered layer with simply a circle with no anti-aliasing so there is no blending of the layer with anything else. My problem is if I resize this down Photoshop automatically adds aliasing to the layer. Is there any way to turn this auto aliasing on scaling OFF?

I’m having a problem working with my image once I’ve selected a path ... If I want to delete something in a layer, the path gets deleted instead. In recent versions of photoshop I was able to turn of the paths, but now in CS there is no such option available ... how do you guys turn off the paths ?

I keep getting the "Who is This?" box in the Organizer on PS-11.
I have turned off the "media analyses" completely, and still some photos show up with the box. I have also exited and re-opened the Organizer and still some photos show up with the face recognition box. Â Â

I want to wrap a logo around a baseball. All I need is the logo to be rendered in 3D, and I will use the Multiply blending mode to use the shading that's already on the baseball. How do I turn off all shading effects in the 3D interface so no additional shading is applied to the sphere the logo is being wrapped around?

Is it possible to turn grids into a layer? I know this can be done with the vanishing point filter but can it be done with normal grids? I ask because grids are very useful but at times get in the way. If I could create a layer of my grids I could then turn them on and off as needed.

I've been using the HDR merge function over the last few days and happily converted numerous images successfully. However, all of a sudden, pictures from the same photo shoot are being converted incorrectly and the HDR function is causing the highlights to be red and completely blown out. I'm doing nothing different and all the lighting is the same as before. Does my software have a bug?Â

I've just tried doing the HDR merge on the same files in my old Photoshop CS3 and I don't get the problem. Perhaps there's a bug causing it???

I'm trying to make a display picture (An avatar of sorts) to use, but whenever I try to, any picture I place using "File > Place" gains like a seipatone color instead of its normal colors. Here is what I do, step-by-step:

1. Open Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-bit)
2. Start a New Project.
-Width: 160, Height: 220, Resolution: 72 (Width and Height are in Pixels)
-Color Mode: RGB 16-bit (I've tried all bits of RGB mode)
3. File>Place and browse for the image. It is not at all brown-scaled right now.
4. It turns brown.

I've used this same version, same steps, and created all kinds of artwork. But all of a sudden, everything turns up brown.

draw a line or a shape or do almost anything it seems in PSCC, the Properties Panel jumps out. Quite rudely, it blocks the upper right of whatever I am working on. Yes, I can simply close it, but it interrupts my workflow, and it pops out constantly. This definitely did not happen in CS6 or any previous version of PS or even in the first version of PS in Creative Cloud.

I am trying to do a sketch in CS5 on a PC, and I have turned on the grid using Cntl+'. When I turn off the grid, however, I am noticing that the lines of my drawing seem to be pulling to the grid as if it were a magnet. Is there any way to shut this off?

When you create a shape, a circle in this case, with the shape tool, it automatically anti-aliases. I need it to not be antialiased, because I will be using it in a game and if I mask the background color, but the anti-aliased pixels are in between colors, then they will show up and it will look bad.
I had to reinstall Photoshop, and before I reinstalled it, there was a checkbox when making a shape that you could uncheck to stop anti-aliasing, but for some reason, it's dissapeared on me now. Anyone know how to turn off auto-antialising?
