Jun 14, 2007I've made a cool action which includes resizing for web and lab sharpening. Is there a way to save this action and send it to a friend so he can install it in his actions?

Dec 6, 2007I created a simple action on my pc.
I now want to put the action on my laptop.
I know where to put the atn file.
But to save me searching the C drive everytime I want to install actions.
Is there away to auto install to the correct folder.
Like a script or another action.

so now I save action.
But sometimes I notice after save action, I quit PS, come back, and the new action is not there.
Photoshop :: CS5 / Saving Files After Using A Action Set?
Mar 19, 2013I created my own set of actions in PS CS5. When i open a folder of JPGs and want them to get changed by that set automatically everything works but the saving the file.
I tried safe&close and renaming the files and safing them in another folder but they don´t get saved. all that pops up is a window asking me where i want to safe the copy-file of that JPG . If I do so it saves the file with the changes from the set. but it stops everytime.

Jun 10, 2004I have a action that I use to convert RGB JPG files to CMYK. After it is done I save the file as tiff.
I want it so that the action does the save as tiff bit, but when I at the save as tiff bit to the action it remembers the loacation where a saved it. Instead I want it to save it in the same folder as the original JPG. So I can use it for different folders with JPG files in it.

Jun 29, 2013When running a batch I have an existing file open and then an action which opens a pre exisiting file that i Drop images into to give boarders and logos.
When I run the action it drops image into the PSD in the correct area and the file looks correct , then in turn it saves the Original file and not the one the batch ran on even thou the file was worked on and edited on CS6. So in a sense it saves the Original File with the correct File naming when ran in the Batch Image processor.

Still with nothing done to the saved file execpt the name change.

Nov 11, 2012I have multiple photos that I am running an action on but each photo is replacing the one before using the same file name. instead of using the original file name. So I end up with 1 edited photo!!! from the action!This is happening using cs5 I have not encounted this before.

Also, unlike the 'Save For Web JPEG' default Illustrator action, the PDF saving step doesn't retain any of the specific settings within the action.

Sep 4, 2012I'm trying to set up an action to save a batch of files I creating using the variables tool (as detailed in this video: [URL]), I'll go into the Actions window, and record myself saving the current file in .Ai format, and then stop recording. Seems pretty simple, but when I set that action to run a batch on my dataset it saves all the files without an extension. Am I missing another step where I set the file format that the action is supposed to save with? I'm confused. I've tried this using a few different file formats and they all come up the same.

Apr 11, 2009when i Try to add a gradiant to a font it takes me to adobe help ? Does anyone have any idea why this is and sometimes it will also crash on me in the middle of my work. Im using Dual monitors also my pc is up to date with the latest Drivers for the Video card and the rest. Running service pack 3 8800 gtx Graphics card.

Mar 11, 2012how to get these two to work together? The support specifically mentions CS3 working with it and even mentions that CS3 will use ACR 4.6. When I tell LR4 to open a RAW file produced by my Canon XSi in Photoshop, I get a message that "this version of LR may require camera raw 7.0 for full compatibility". Then I can choose "render using lightroom", "open anyway", or "cancel". If I choose "open anyway" it opens up Photoshop but nothing else happens.
Eventually after a few minutes LR4 starts telling me it couldn't open Photoshop (even though it "magically" opened it a few minutes earlier) and when I click off that error, it comes up again, then a new error saying it couldn't send the file to Photoshop. After clicking away that message it then proceeds to make a copy of the file as a .psd (which I did set up in the LR4 preferences for external editor) and it opens up.
In the Library module or Develop module, select the photo you want to edit. Then, choose Photo > Edit In Adobe Photoshop.If you’re opening a camera raw or DNG file in Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) or later, it opens directly.

Nov 1, 2013when I send photos from Lightroom 5 to Photoshop (CS6), make changes and return to Lightroom, I will see a new frame with the changes I have just made. However, I notice that I lose my original enhancement settings from Lightroom. In other words, the enhancements on the photo are still there, but the sliders from the right hand tool bar have all been reset. Basically all the changes have been 'baked in' to the photo, so I can no longer make modify/delete the enhancements I originally made. This is particularly important when working with brushes.
Is there anything I can do to preserve these modifiers as I go back and forth between Lightroom and Photoshop?

Feb 19, 2014I have PE9. When I try to send a photo as an email attachment, I cannot input any contact info. I get a pop-up that asks me to sign in to my Adobe ID. When I try, it says Photoshop.com is not available, error code 400. At no point do I get to a screen that allows me to input contact info, even from the Edit menu. I deactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Still have the problem. I don't have the problem on my laptop which I didn't provide with my Adobe ID.

Jan 20, 2011I had a few glitches with my system which I resolved but a casualty has been Corel Draw X5 which has always run perfectly well but I guess.I have tweaked something in fixing the other problem and now it will not run.
If I click the icon within Program Files nothing happens. If I double-click a .cdr file which should be opened in Corel I get the error message "there was a problem sending the command to the program". I've un- and re-installed several times, even gone through the registry and removed all references. There is no appdata for the program, each time I reinstall it's a clean install, so what am I missing?
At install stage, I get asked for my serial number, which I enter, then the install continues. I never get as far as the activation stage as the program never starts. I don't think it's a Corel issue anyway, so much as a Windows 7 issue.
