Photoshop :: Resize Distances Between Each List Element To 60 Pixels
Jun 15, 2012
I made a document with four layers:
background - parting linies - head lines - information
Each layer has many many elements (like parting lines: parting line 1, parting line 2, parting line 3 > each transformed 50 pixels).
The final result is a list that looks like this:
_______________
Head Line
- info
- info
_______________
Head Line
- info
- info
_______________
Now I want to resize the distances between each list element to 60 pixels. And it's a list that consists out of about 200 boxes. Is it possible to transform all elements the same way? Or do I have to mark each element on each layer that I want to transform? And which tool do I have to use? I have three columns and it would really take a long time to do this for each box and each element of the box.

I'm interested in doing a non-destructive "resize" of an image, whereby only the transparent pixels are traditionally resized and the non-transparent pixels remain the same size (but move relative to the resized transparent pixels).
As an example, imagine an image that consists of stars on a transparent background. If we were to do the above to this image, the physical space taken up by the image would increase (due to the resizing of the transparent pixels), but the stars themselves would remain the same size. In short, the stars would appear to spread out to fill more space.
If it helps, here's an illustrated example: ....

I can only resize an image using pixels as unit when resampling is turned on. Why can't I resize in pixels without resampling? I can use all the other units but not pixels...

I've been experimenting with lists and I'm curious about the fastest / easiest way to get the next element from a list:
Currently my best shot is to wrap (member 2 '(1 2 3)) with: (car(cdr (member 2 '(1 2 3))))

I have a client who has a set of .ai files they need resized to meet various epub layout specs. Apple and Kindle both are different sizes so I need to know the best way to resize an .ai file 11.25 x 5.65 inches into a smaller dimension in pixels while retaining the layers.

If I am constantly making frames in photoshop for use in the video world (ie. They will be on TV) the pixels need to be rectangular (or 4x3) in aspect and not square.
I know in programs like After Effects and Combustion you can set when saving an image whether or not it is square or rectangular pixels.
How do I do this in Photoshop if it can be done?

I have several layers in an image, and I need to align them precisely. The ordinary layer shift ("move pixels") by multiples of pixels is not sufficient. Is there a tool or plugin for PDN that allows sub-pixel shifts (i.e. moves by fractions of pixel)? And rotations by very small angles?

It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly.
I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended?
I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.

I am trying to draw a parcel map using AutoCAD MAP 3D, using distances and bearings that were added by to the original hand-made drawing by the surveyor. The parcels don't quite close perfectly... what the acceptable tolerances are for parcels of say 1 acre and under, 1-5 acres, and 5-20 acre sites?

When using dimensions in paperspace i get the paperspace distances. Not those of the object i've drawn in model space.
f.e.: if i draw a line of 100 mm in model, and my zoom e on it in a viewport of 420, I'll get the distance 420. Like the dimension is not interacting with the model, see? Thought it would have something to do with the snapping, but can't find the link.

In previous versions I have been able to resize the canvas and then resize the image. For example resize the canvas to 250px x 250 px. Then resize the image to the same.
Here is the process I am using:
Duplicate the layer and then hide it. Resize the canvas (Image > Canvas Size) to 250px x 250 px. Un-hide the layer and then resize the image (Image > Image Size). When I go into Image>Image Size it says that the image is already 250px x 250px. However if I try to transform the scale the image is the original size and not 250px x 250px
The reason for needing this is I resize image size (in bulk) and the canvas size using the batch process (file>automate>batch) and actions. I loaded the actions file I used in previous versions, but that did not work correctly. I then went in to do this manually and got the same results.

I am aware of creating a polyline and using .AddVertexAt() to give the points, my question is if I want to create a polyline in acad I generally will pick a point and then type out @10.5<0 or something similar of that nature to pick my next point. Is it possible to add vertices to a polyline in .Net giving it the distance and angle of one point2d to the next point2d?
Example:
acPoly.AddVertexAt(0, New Point2d(0,0),0,0,0)
acPoly.AddvertexAt(0, New Point2d(1,0),0,0,0)
but instead?
acPoly.AddVertexAt(0, New Point2d(0,0),0,0,0)
acPoly.AddVertex ( use code equivalent of New Point2d = @10.5<0 from point at 0 index)

If there is 10 active posts there will be 10 suppressed post. When there are 10 suppressed post, I don`t need them in the form. Is it possible to hide the center distances I don`t need?

I used the Array command many years ago in college but have never needed it since.
However yesterday I was required to copy a block at even spaces 12 times along a straight line.
I done this manually but then realised that the array tool could do this.
how to space something along a line at equal distances using the array command.

I can't seem to move objects in my drawing small distances..I'm used to being able to do this..must be some setting I hit, but I can't find which one it might be. I have snap to off, but this isn't behaving like snap to..it's behaving like I'm only "allowed" to move objects certain distances; any smaller and the object simply doesn't move at all..

I have a problem with X6 that did not exist in X4 (have not used X5).
When I use the dimensioning tool for distances/features smaller than the dimension text, CorelDraw forces the text between the arrows. The result is the text sits over the arrows.
In X4 at the point where the item being dimensioned is smaller than the text, the dimension was put off to one side.
For example, If I were to dimension a feature that is 0.005" Clearly I would not be able to put the dimension "0.005" in that area so it should be off the end of one of the dimension arrows.
I've tried every combination of keys while drawing the dimensions. And thinking the position of the cursor at end of the command might work but to no avail. Is there a way for force the dimension text to be offset and not between the arrows?

I haven't used Autodesk directly since Land Development 2i. I remeber being able to draw lines by distances and bearings with the numeric keypad. The bearing quadrant / DMS input was a fast way to draw parcels from an existing map. When I got to a curve, I remember being able to input radius and Delta angle. I've been trying to find those functions for months now. I found the Line by Bearing command and that works well as long as I don't run into a curve.
How do you draw a curve that's tangent to the previous line with the radius and delta angle? I've been going back to AutoCAD version 12 methods. That is, offset the previous line. draw a circle from the end of the offset. draw a line between the center of the curve and the end of the previous line. Rotate that line with the 12d34'56" format. trim the curve and erase the extra lines.
I've gone through all the curve drawing options in the home menu.I found the CoGo editor in the survey menu but it doesn't draw curves. It just draws a line from the beginning of the curve to the center and continues the traverse from the radius point of the curve. That's obviously either a serious misunderstanding of input or a program bug.

I'm literaly just starting to use CAD so this might be a silly question, but how would I offset a line more than one distance in a command? Is there like a symbol you put between each distance like 2000;2250;2650 or something along those lines (no pun intended).
