i took this pic online and i wanted to know if there is a way i can remove those black circles on the rims. I want to see how the rims look like, but i dont know if theres a way you can take them out and restore the picture.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not running any .net apps that are noit Autodesk's own and loaded by Autodesk without my direct request. I took a snapshot of the error window and then I tried the Retry option. AutoCAD C3D halted (crashed). I suspect Abort or Ignore would have done the same but idk.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a HUGE Xara file that is becoming very slow. And it turns out that the reason for this is that at some point, many edits ago, I accidentally must have pasted the same thing multiple times!
i.e. I currently have: text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape-text-shape etc all on the same layer.
The problem is that there are a large number (about 100) of items. Any good way or removing the (hidden) duplications of texts and shapes ?
I would like to use a vector object made in AI as a custom shape to be used as a cookie cutter in elements.. I imported the AI file in photoshop but the "define custom shape" entry under "edit" was grayed out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI drew something up on a sheet of paper, scanned it, then traced it's bitmap as line art. I then proceded to edit the vectors to recover all the detail I lost with the tracing. It took forever!
Now that I´m done, I realised there is a problem... how can I color in the drawing, if the lines themselves make up the shape? Essentially, I´m left with blank spaces in between all the lines instead of solid individual shapes that can be colored in.
What can I do? I´m so desperate I´m thinking of creating a gazillion individual shapes with the colors, and slapping them underneath the lines to "improv" a fill. But that will take waay too long, so is there an easier way?
If I could "invert" the shape I have now, so that the blank spaces become individual shapes, and the lines become blank spaces.
is there any way to add shapes, in the "basic shapes" bar?
or maybe in any other locations.
I use a lot of predefines shapes, that are saved in various files. i wanna make a way to directly import these shapes, whithout open files and copy/paste the dsired shapes.
I am a screen printer and us photoshop regularly and that feature is a ver important part of my serparations when I make my film. I am also sue that thousands of screen printer also use this feature. Why can not such a simple already installed feature not be kept? Maybe off set printer do not need this but screen printers need this feature, we must be able to adjust our DPI , dot style and angle.

A bit of confusion over the fact that Bridge is now independent from PS.The first thing I noticed is that the workspace is really clean, almost elegant. It it a joy to my eyes to use. Next I went to my favorite tool about which I have had severe criticism in CS6, the crop tool.
It now works far better than CS6. You fixed the major objections I had. The only thing to catch may attention is that there is a switch to not center the crop. It doesn't work. Or maybe I don't understand what it actually means. Also, the additional crop proportions I added to CS6 did not transfer to CC.
But then I saw there is no Close or Minimize button! Not being able to minimize is a problem as I frequently have 2 or more windows running.
I am running CS4 on a Windows Vista Platform. I have increased my RAM from 2GB to 4GB (max for 32 bit system). I've checked my computer and the memory is 'registered' and recognized by the system. Everything seems to be fine but when I go to CS4 Preferences it still lists my available RAM as 1645 (old 2GB figure). How do I get Adobe to see my new memory?
View 32 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a font (Boycot) and added it to my "fonts" folder. It works great in MS Word, but doesn't seem to work in Photoshop. I have CS2 and I'm using a PC. When I select the text tool and then the "Boycot" font, I see only blank spaces (if that) and then I get an error message. The two messeges are: "Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialised." or "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Other font's work fine and as I said... the "Boycot" font works in other programs like MS Word.

When opening certain JPG images in Photoshop, they look different (worse) than when opened in any other application. They get some kind of additional distortion / artifacts.
If you look closely at the right side of the following screenshot, you will notice that the edges between the color areas are kinda jagged (less smooth) in comparison to the left one. When zooming in, it appears that every second pixel line at the borders of the red areas is distorted in horizontal direction:
left side: image opened with JPEG View, Windows Photo Viewer, Google Chrome or Paint Shop Pro X5 right side: image opened with Photoshop CS6 (also tested on an old CS4 version - same result)
The image retains those distortions when saved from Photoshop. No matter if saved loss less (PNG) or not (JPG). However, when opening the image with an image viewer (i.e. JPEG View), taking a screenshot and pasting it into Photoshop, there are no such artifacts. Even when then saved as JPG and reopened, there is still no distortion.
Therefore the issue must be related to the format the original files are saved in. According to the metadata stored within the JPG the image was edited with "Adobe Lightroom".

View 8 Replies View RelatedThe problem I've been noticing for a while now has been especially in OSX, now also on windows 7 is that whenever I have a PSD file open and go SAVE AS as a JPG alot of times I tend to do a batch from a single psd with different version.. ( name01.jpg name02.jpg name03.jpg etc.)
What I came across is that sometimes I tend to forget to select JPEG from the drop down menu (because the window always displays Photoshop File as default).
What happens is that Photoshop File is in the drop down menu and I name my file Name01.jpg it saves it as a Photoshop File with a .jpg extension. which confuses everyone that tries to open that file because they cant and its huge..
I remember on windows XP when this happened photoshop was kind enough to name my file Name01.jpg.psd which made the file stand out and approprietly named.
Aside from the whole .PSD .JPG issue with this not adding the appropriate extension automatically, this also causes problems when I name a file Name01 photoshop leaves it at that and does not add any extention to it so it becomes an orphan file on foreign computers.. It doesn't happen often but when it does I want to punch my computer in the face.
I'm sure I'm not the only one saving JPGs from Photoshop in large numbers that this happened to..
I want to add Noise (Filter > Noise > Add Noise) to a layer, after "Style" is added to the layer. I see no noise on the layer regardless how much noise, i add.

View 39 Replies View RelatedSince I've upgraded to CS3, I've had this problem. Every document I design in Photoshop will look perfect but will add a blue tint to the canvas when converted into a PDF. It will do this whether the file is a PSD or JPG. It doesn't matter if it's text only or text and a photo. It only puts the blue tint on the actual PS canvas area, so if the canvas size is 5x7 and the document size I choose for the PDF is 8.5x11 then the blue tint is only on the 5x7, not the outer edges of the PDF - it is white.

When I try to view the metadata in Photoshop at a later point I can see everything just fine. When I try to view the metadata by going in to windows explorer and looking at the properties, those fields just show up as blank.

My problem is that I open a new creation(RGB or Bitmap) and create a text layer. When I do this I find that the cursor is EXTREMELY tiny. The text isnt even readable on size 72.
