Photoshop :: Paper Printed Results

Mar 1, 2003

creating web graphics, web text, web gifs but I seek a resource of creating a document in photoshop, designed for an 11 x 8.5 inch piece of paper that when printed, will be crystal clear.

Most of my efforts, in fact all of my efforts have fallen short (smudged or jagged print and graphics) so I'm missing something. I'm not saving it in the correct format, I'm not printing it with the correct settings, or something else.

my HP color printer is set correctly?

Photoshop Elements :: Variations In Paper Types To Be Printed Upon

Dec 27, 2012

My PC operating Microsoft XP had to be replaced.  I was using Adobe Photoshop6.0, serial #<deleted>.  That program is lost to me and I am now using Photoshop 2.0.  I cannot find a way to adjust for different media types; that is, plain paper, glossy photo paper, etc.  How do I make the adjustments to accommodate a variety of media using Photoshop 2.0 and can I get access or download Photoshop 6.0?

Photoshop :: CS5 / Epson 3880 / Black Line Printed Down Side Of Paper?

May 22, 2012

I've been noticing for a while that my Epson 3880 "keeps printing" after the image has been printed.  I loaded some paper that is a little wider than 11x14 (12x14) but I print on it as if it's 11x14.  I printed an image (only 8x10 on the page) and now that a wider paper is in the tray I see that a black line is being printed down the side of the page.  It's a line that is actually being printed down the entire sheet.  When the paper isn't wider than what I've specified the print head just goes past the paper and "thinks" it's printing on the paper.

The printer is an Epson 3880 with current drivers and I'm using the current version of Photoshop CS5.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Get Printed Paper Model And To Assembly It

Apr 18, 2013

I have to get the printed paper model, and to assembly it within Inventor.

At the moment, I have the chassis, and next step should be a surface modelling.

But I`m not sure, which tool should I use. Chassis consist of some bulkheads, and there should be one patch between two neighbors. Patches are already printed:

So I have to bend them, according to bulkheads profiles.

Question is: how can I perform this step? I can`t realize, how to bend these patches, to stich two neighbor profiles. Is it possible for Inventor? Or should I use the authomatic surface fill, and texturing later?

Lightroom :: 5.3 - Images Printed On Small Part Of Paper And It Cut The Picture

Dec 21, 2013

I run MacOS 10.9, Lightroom 5.3 and I print on an Epson R3000.

The first problem I had was that the images was printed on just a small part of the paper and it cut the images. I have attached a picture showing this. I totally reinstalled my computer and now it looks like that problem is gone (for now at least). But now the images are printed but much smaller than the paper I specify. If I specify A3+ I get something close to A4. Borderless printing on 6*4 looks to be working as it should but that's the only I managed to print so far.

I tested printing from Photoshop 5.1 and that worked fine.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Add Text To Printed (paper) Documents Without Modifying Digital Copy?

Feb 22, 2012

I'm looking to add the name of the person printing the document as well as the date to any paper copies printed.  However, since everythign is stored in Vault, this needs to be done without making any changes to the document that require saving the document.

Ideally this would be automatic(requiring no user input).

I've used both iLogic and built Inventor Addins before.

Photoshop :: Curl Paper Effect And Paste Image On Paper

Nov 10, 2004

I'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

Photoshop :: Merge To HDR Results In CS6

Aug 15, 2012

I'm geting really ugly "Merge to HDR" results in Photoshop CS6 that were not present in CS5.5. It only happens when using the "Remove Ghosts" checkbox

I use a Panasonic Lumix G2
Photoshop CS6
Lightrom 4
Camera Raw 7

I'm trying to merge RAW images to HDR. I use Adobe Lightroom 4.

1) I right click on multiple RAW exposure images
2) Edit In > Merge to HDR Pro in Photoshop
3) After aligning and merging, I use the "remove ghosts"option, but it creates really ugly blown-out areas on my preview image. The result is just as bad after clicking "OK" and the "creating file" box is done. I can see another thread discussing this in the Photoshop CS6 Beta (read only) area. The guy was using a Panasonic Lumix GH2,(mine's a G2) so maybe it's an isue with RAW support for Panasonic's Raw format.

Im having this exact issue also.

Photoshop :: Merge To HDR Results In 72 Dpi Image

Jun 16, 2008

I've recently discovered that when using the Merge to HDR function the resulting image is 72 dpi as opposed to the 240dpi of the original files used to create the 32 bit image. I've tried using both psd and RAW files with the same result. Others have confirmed this does not happen on the Mac version of CS3. I am using CS2 but others in a class I am taking have experienced similar problems with CS3 running on Windows. I'm running XP Pro which has been kept up to date. CS2 also has all updates installed.

Apparently, PS is also resizing the image to a relatively huge document size in the process of converting my bracketed images to HDR while retaining the correct pixel dimensions. The work around is to uncheck the "Resample Image" box within the "Image Size" dialog window after conversion so as to restore a 240 dpi resolution but this adds yet another step to the workflow.

If I view it in Irfanview it gives this weird effect like there is a background in certain areas, more directly in back of the main image.

Maybe it's Irfanview but no I just checked it out in XNView as well and the same thing.

what's causing this strange exprort bug?? Is there an specific update I need.

The image in jpg is a direct save to that format in Irfanview so you can see what I'm talking about.

Photoshop :: Painting In 3D - Results In Painted

Jul 18, 2009

When using CS4 Extendeds new 3D painting functionality I'm noticing, on multiple machines and setups the same problem.  I wanted to share the issue to see if there is a fix or if others are aware of it, and also to see if the rest of the community is also having this issue. Basically, take any model into Photoshop's new 3D view, and paint a few brush strokes onto the model and then go inspect the resulting 2D map, very close up, and notice that there are un-acceptable artifacts all throughout the brush-stroke when zoomed in very close.  This is not always a problem depending on the work your doing, but in many cases these artifacts produce maps that are un-usable, specifically when generating bump maps.  The effort needed to clean the maps up would be better spent fixing the problem or using other software. I'll post some pictures of the issue so you can see what I'm talking about. If you have a solution, that would be wonderful, otherwise, simply trying this out yourself to see if you get the same results and posting here would be great.  The artifacts themselves seem to appear anytime paint travels over the edge of one polygon onto another, even when these pologyons share ajacent and connected UV space. Please note that you must inspect this above image up close and zoomed in to really see the issue, and notice that all of the artifacts line up consistantly with where the polygons andor the UV's are layed out, it's one or the other but I can't tell which.

Photoshop :: Different Results Of Color Space

Mar 11, 2009

I am converting a raw image.

1. First in ProPhoto, passing it to PS CS3, accepting ProPhoto (against the working color space), and then I convert it in sRGB in Edit.

2. Next, converting it in ProPhoto, but when CS3 receives it, I ask for immediate conversion in sRGB, the working space.

3. Third, I change the color sapace in ACR to sRGB and pass the image to CS3.

Of course, the ACR adjustment parameters are identical in the three processes.

1 and 3 are almost identical (a difference layer does show differences, but I don't see them on the results without huge boosting, and that shows quite random, noise-like difference).

However, 1 and 2 are *vastly* different. The difference, boosted by 2 EV clearly shows the original texture, which is determined by a pecularity in the blue channel.

What is the explanation for the difference between the two conversion from ProPhoto to sRGB?

The conversion engine is Adobe (the conversion immediately at receiving the image does not ask me for the engine).

Photoshop :: Gamma For Grayscale To Be Printed

Apr 4, 2012

I'm confused about gamma adjustment. I'm getting a book ready to be published by a print on demand company. It involves making a PDF using InDesign which contains photos which I've edited in Photoshop. The company has a list of specifications " to be sure that my PDF prints properly",and one of them says "The gamma of a grayscale image should be between 2.2 and 2.4." I don't know how to interpret this. If I change the gamma of a photo to 2.2 it obviously becomes much lighter, but then when it's saved the new lighter document has a gamma of 1.

I know I'm not understanding this at all. I've looked all over trying to figure this out. Most references refer to gamma adjustments for monitors, and I get that. I also know that when things are printed they will come out darker because of dot gain.

Photoshop :: Faded Printed Images Through CS5?

Jul 10, 2013

When printing any document through Photoshop CS5, it's printing at about 25% opacity. If we open the file in Preview or Word, it prints just fine! What do I need to change to get PS printing correctly again?

This all started when we downloaded a template offline. My co-worker designed within the template and when she went to print, it was faded. I tried printing a photo from my computer to the same printer quick to troubleshoot what the error might be (low ink, etc...) and my photo printed 100% ok. I then opened the file she designed, tried printing it and it was faded. I then tried printing the photo that printed earlier fine and now it and everything else I print is faded! What in the world changed? We've tried restarting both our machines, restarted PS, deleted and reinstalled the print drivers, etc... But to no avail.

We're printing to just a simple desktop printer, a Canon MP210.

Photoshop :: Text Is Pixelated When Printed

Jan 18, 2006

I'm having trouble printing out a Photoshop picture with some text. The text comes out noticeably pixelated. I know there is a way to print it in a non-pixelated way (the font is much more smooth) since I can print out another Photoshop picture with text of the same font, color, size, and everything else and there is no pixelation. Both pictures are exactly the same size (863 by 1125), and neither text layer has been rasterized. Why would one print out pixelated and the other not?

Photoshop :: Getting My .psd Printed (colour Palette)

Jan 29, 2008

simple logo in blue and grey which we want to get professioannly printed. I don't know much about print, but I do know that until now with a .psd and a .eps I've always got my stuff done in acceptable quality.

Now the printshop seems unable to get the colours right. The logo only has 2 colours, blue and gray. For both I have given them specs in 5 colour models, such as this, and handed them the file in .psd, .eps and .ai:

R: 15

G: 106

B: 200

C: 80

M: 60

Y: 00

K: 00

HEX: 0f6aff

L: 48

a: 22

b: -82

H: 217

S: 94

B: 100

Now the blue they have come up with in a print preview looks absolutely nothing like this. And the grey is almost transparent.

They asked for Pantone colours. I created the logo in Photoshop, so all I have are these specs. Is it impossible to print a logo more or less correctly with exact values from 5 different colour models?

What can I do to convey them more or less precisely which kind of blue we want?
