I have an attached psd file. I want to create a web site. This is what I want to do, I want to click on "Home", and I want a web site to appear on the body or "slice 8", but whenever I click on "Home" the whole page is replaced by the link and the menu is gone. I really appreciate it, if you can look into my file and show me the way.

1. Although I have chosen to save file as JPG, everything is saving in GIF.Â
2. After reinstall, still having problem #1 but some slices with system chosen names are not saving at all but present at time of web save, named and set up as Picture.

I took all the slices off and redid the thing several twice and it's still only saving slices I name and only in GIF.
I have looked under the crop tool and ALL the other tools and nada. So have i got a bogus piece of junk?? without it PS 5.5 and 6.0 are useless. yes I have the extended versions of both. why spend all that money to do nothing I need.

View 2 Replies View RelatedStarted a trial with Photoshop V11 and I'm having troubles with slicing. Firstly the slice tool isn't in my toolbox, and secondly when I press K which I think is the correct shortcut key - my cursor changes to a circle with a line through it (banned).
It is happening on any PSD file that I'm opening.
If I try saving for Web and using the slice tool which is on that toolbar, I can create a box around something but as soon as I finish dragging with the mouse the square disappears. It is as if I really am banned from slicing -
I'm having a little problem exporting images that I slice up and put links into. I'm trying to make a website but it does not allow script and the only way I know how to export it so that the links work is as a .swf file. Is there any other way to do it so that it does not have to run on script or no? I am using Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady to export it.

There is a nice site called "blockposters" but they have a 1 meg limit on file size. So a large poster would be very bitmaped. I figure I can take 8 meg pictures of my kids or an activity in school and really blow it up.
I also want to be able to pick the print size of each panel 3 x 4 up to 8 x 11.

The Slice tool in CS6 Photoshop will not "obey" my request for number of rows and columns, or pixel values for rows and columns.I use the Slice tool in Photoshop to prepare small square images for use in a mosaic creation application. The squares are 64x64 or 32x32 pixels.I crop my image to a multiple of 64 or 32 pixels on each side and right click with the slice tool.I have a hard time getting the slice tool to generate more than 10 rows horizontal and vertical. For example if I have an i age 1280x1280 pixels and try to get a division of 20 rows and 20 columns, I end up with columns 256 pixels and rows of 64 pixels.I can try entering number of rows and columns numerically or specify pixel values in the row and column, but either approach will not give me the square slices I ask for.
When this bug is going to be repaired?Â

I have created a bunch of Page Setups (for both Paper and PDF) that work great when plotting from the plot menu. Lately, I've convinced my people to start using the sheet set manager and the publish command. However, on some computers, (not mine) plotting (to PDF) from the Publish dialog box outputs a file that seems to ignore the page setup. Using the very same Page Setup, the file comes out perfectly when plotting from the regular Plot menu. I don't understand how:
1- I get the same result with both methods on my computer (the one used to create all those page setups);
2- I get page setup to apply perfectly on my computer;
3- I get the expected result on the problematic computers when using Plot;
4- But I get different results on the problematic computer when using Publish.
*Note: In the publish dialog box, I use "Publish to: Plotter named in page setup" and then I select the wanted page setup for all my selected layouts in the list. My page setups are using "DWG to PDF.pc3", so the "plotter named in page setup" in all cases should be "DWG to PDF".Â
I've been doing tests with PDF files set on A1 format (841mmX594mm) and the output is perfect on my computer. Then on another computer, strangely, I get a PDF with these dimensions: 863.6mmX558.8mm (34"x22"). On the second computer, doing the very same steps, I get 431.8mmX279.4mm (17"x11"). Three computers, three different outputs with three different values. One works, two miss. I'm stoked.Â
Keep in mind that all three computers output perfect files when using the standard plotting menu (using the same page setups) so I doubt the page setups are incorrect. Does the Publish command deal differently with page setups than the plot command ? I would have assumed that both commands would react the same. I 'd like my team to be able to batch plot like I can on my computer.
I am a relatively new user of Corel Draw. When using the variable data print feature, the images seen in the print preview look correct, but when the page is printed the same data is output in all 4 images. Â This does not happen every time. Â I suspect there is something going wrong with the print merge data buffer. Â I have not been able to reproduce the error. I have created a detailed script to for others to follow when running this job.

I need gimp to slice by columns (start in the top left corner slice each grid down the column then proceed to the next column. Right now all I can get gimp to do is cut by rows. Normally gimps function would be fine but I need the image labeled a particular way so I can use the individual files in a map for a game. I'm making a 118 images so renaming them by hand would take too long.

View 7 Replies View Relatedwas working on a grapic in photoshop 7. The slice tool in PS had the 2 option "slice tool" and "slice select tool" but when i move into image ready from my current work and wanted to combine 2 slices, i only had the "slice tool" in my tools area.
The "slice select tool" which needs to be active to complete my action, is missing. pls help.. I tried resetting my tools but still no sign. The biggest question is how come it shows up in PS and not in imageready?
In Xara Designer Pro 7, when I have selector tool active and want to drag over a number of elements to select them the selector tool will change the size of the canvas (page). Is that not a bug? I used this way of selecting elements often, and it is not good for me with this new behaviour.
Is it a bug or is it a new setting which I then need to change?
I am using AutoCAD 2012 with Acrobat Pro 9. When I output via the plot dialog in CAD to pdf print the text looks different then when I use the output toolbar export to pdf. Both files plot the same on paper, but when I look at the output tool pdf file zoomed out, the text looks unclear with some characters looking grey vs. black. Is there a setting that changes this so the text can be more readable even when zoomed out?

Ideally I'd like to include this single page in a pdf document. Is this possible?
I want to fill the gaps on the edge of the page using the gap tool. I can see it is detecting some gaps but I was wondering what the custom gap option does? and if I could use it to close the specific gaps I want to close. I figured there would be a way using the pen tool so I drew a straight path across the edge and tried to join the paths together using command j but it didn't seem to work :/ I am quite new to illustrator

View 2 Replies View RelatedI often work on items for the web that I want to slice, but I need to slice them in layers. For instance, a background image, then some transparent PNGs to be placed on top of the background.
If I have everything laid our properly in Photoshop, then the layer items all overlap. I can turn off layers and export the background as one slice, then turn off the bkgrd and turn on a foreground item and create a slice for that... and so on. But if I want to go back and re-export the background (due to a change) the overlapping slices cause it to now break up into multiple pieces.
I can separate the layered items so that they are off to the side and the slices no longer overlap, but now any adjustments in the layout are hard to make because everything is all separated out. Is there a way to handle leaving the slices overlapped but not have them break up at export?
Is there a way to create a selection from a slice in CS5?Â
