Nov 2, 2002i use the Type tool in PS ,input few words, and rasterize the type layer, then run filter"stylize->solarize", but nothing happened ,why?

Photoshop :: My Filter->Wind Doesn´t Work Ok
Dec 4, 2002After some time my filter->wind doesn´t work properly. Instead of the wind going outside the figure it makes it go inwards. I mean the area of the figure decreases instead of increasing.

Mar 27, 2009Everytime i try to download the Extract Filter from my disc i get a message from windows saying "Windows can not open this file. File: ExtractPlus.8BF"
Then it says that windows needs to know what program created the file and that it can search online or i can tell it what program created it. Neither option enables the download.

Photoshop :: 7 "Filter" Menu On MAC 10.4.6
May 8, 2006I have PS 7.0 intalled on my IMAC, G5, OS10.4.6. The program works fine except for the Filters. The dialog boxes opens OK, but the image does not display in them, even with Preview checked. I tried it also, in Classic, and again, everything but the Filter menu worked.
These are plug ins (I think from a 3rd party.) If I knew who the 3rd parties are I thought I might get a patch. How can I find out about those 3rd parties?
I downloaded a trial version of PS CS2. The filters work fine on a file I CREATE in CS2, but if I click on an image created in PS7 it switches out of CS2 and into PS7 (where the filters don't work.)
Bottom line:can I copy my PS7 images into CS2 and get the filters to work there?
Adobe said I should buy CS2 for $169 and purchase a phone support contract for $159 for a year so that I could discuss it on the phone!!!

Photoshop :: Static Picture, Make Water "shimmer" Or "move"
May 26, 2007I have a picture of a cabin on a lake, I want to use this as the flash intro for a website. I would like a mist to cover the picture and then float away, and the water in the lake to "shimmer" or make it look as if it is "moving"...kind of like you were looking at a video clip, not a static picture.
Is this something I would do in any of the creative suite programs? or studio 8 programs? or is it something completely different.

May 20, 2006At work, whenever I "save as" a jpg or tif or whatever, it just renames the extension. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work.jpg'. But when I work from home, whenever I "save as" it appends "copy" to the end, which I really hate. eg. 'Work.psd' -> 'Work copy.jpg'. I know this is a trivial matter, but it puts an annoying kink in my workflow having to remove "copy" from the file name during my extremly frequent saves. I've tried to google this, but I'm at wit's end trying to find where the preference is hidden.

At the bottom of my canvas, I have a half-circle, with the curve facing up and the flat edge at the bottom border of my canvas.
At the top of my canvas, I have some text that is actually a graphic instead of text.
I'm trying to make the picture of the text curve to the same arc as the half-circle at the bottom of the canvas.

Photoshop :: Oil Paint Filter Doesn't Turn Out
May 13, 2013I'm using the oil paint filter and for some reason it doesn't turn out when I use it. It doesn't seem to be an issue for very very small sized images, if I make the photo smaller it will work just fine. However, for any regular sized images I get this result below. I just got a new computer, so i'm not sure what the issue could be?

Jan 18, 2003downloaded photoshop 7.0. I also found a plug in called gif -x. I installed both and tried follow a tutorial's instructions. The tutorial said I had to open the pic I wanted to edit, select it, then I had to select Filter - Ulead Effects - then the gif -x thing. But when I click on the filter button, all the selections under it, including 'Ulead Effects' were dimmed. I couldn't use any filter functions!

They work just fine on MOST images but on just a couple of images when they get to the "save as" step I get a dialog and the "as a copy" box is checked. Sep 9, 2012Firstly - when I create a document at 48x48 at 72ppi, it comes out as you would expect, 48x48 on a screen. However if I enter 48x48 and try to enter 326ppi, it doesn't adjust the canvas size at all.

Also when I have my 48x48 72ppi document open and go to image > image size, and adjust only the ppi to 326...it does nothing! What should be happening is the canvas become 72:326 ratio larger to reflect the new ppi, or in other words, make the canvas size larger in proportion to this so when you take your new 326ppi image to the iphone it is retina at 48x48...however this is clearly not happening.

Nov 24, 2008In Photoshop CS2, I select Help > How to fix and enhance photos > to touch up spots, scratches, and wrinkles. Instead of help on that, Adobe Help Center 2.1 shows up with nothing in it.
