I have recently started using CS2. I am noticing a weird problem when I move stuff around. It is almost acting like its "Snapping". In other words, if I try to move an object, text, selection area or whatever, its jumping about 2-3 pixels in the direction I move it instead of moving smoothly. Its kind of like macromedia flash snap to grid action. I looked all around to try and find settings for the pointer but no luck.
im trying to make some text appear over a texture, and as I've been using programs such as GIMP and Paint.net before I know from them that you can have layers do this. Layers have depth settings, so layer 1 will be the lowest and so on. But it don't find these settings in autocad.
I just upgraded from photoshop cs4 to cs6 and all my "stuff" did not transfer over. By "stuff" I mean my actions, my Imagenomic noiseware and protraiture plugins, and various things I'm sure I'm not even aware of yet... Â I've been working with and adding things to my cs4 for so long I couldn't even list them all... I just know I'm going to be missing things. How to properly transfer over all my cs4 files to my new cs6 copy? Is there a link or a blog that tells you how to do this most efficiently? I thought cs6 would overwrite cs4 and transfer everything for me but now understand that is not the case. Â (I think I have imagenomic portraiture and noiseware figured out- downloaded new copies of the software). Can I just drag any items from the cs4 files in applications (on a mac) to my new cs6 files?
Everytime I add a shape or text the effects used last appear on my new stuff without my wanting it there. I have cleared my workspace and even when I begin a new project it still happens.
how can i make lets say, a jpg image, not the best quality, and use it as my backghround layer. then i want to add a flame onto it. how do i make the second layer (flame) the same i dont know, contrast? or quality. so it looks real?
But i wanna change the numbers in some part of it.
There are two problems
frist i don't know what font and size of the word is. But i do know it is from Ms Office
second the number are in boxes the numbers are in the same group of line and in the box but if i just remove the number by a rubber and insert number into it then people would tell that i changed it.
i want to remove the color and keep the text and the boxes. so just make it look like a whote and black paper.
For what i know of if i use Photoshop CS3 andi sure the eyedrop to get the color of the background and the arrow it would give me the color of it and it's RGB. but if i eyedrop this how can i change the color i want to remove?
if it will remove can all the color become white the background and the arrow.
and what should i do if i want to keep the arrow?
Remeber the img is scaned not the orginal word DOC.
if i want to edit the text on the image how do i do that how do i know what font it is and how can i make the excact box? for example the first box is 1 i want make it 20 how do i do that?
i know that you select the stuff you want feathered, right click and go to feather, but i've never really seen any effect. maybe i'm missing a step somewhere but i just dont really get what feathering does
I'm used to photoshop on a PC, and on them ( at least the versions older than CS3 ) if you want to make a selection of something on a layer you just go cntrl click.
But on a mac I'm told you need to select that layer then go select all then use the magic wand tool, which probably won't be 100% accurate.
when i change the blending modes, to not store in history, because i find it useless and it takes a lot of history states untill i dont have mutch undos to go further back.
I do it all the time in illustrator but how do you repeat something in photoshop to create a pattern. Here is a mockup of an example. How would you create this in Photoshop?
Was plannin on takin up the ACE certifications jus wanted to know how valuable the certifications will be. also - if we really need to undergo tht online trainin - or can we manage by tutorin ourselves...
How do I uninstall all the things that Photoshop CS6 installs? I don't see a "custom" or "advanced" installer option, but it puts all kinds of things on my computer that I do not want (I only want Photoshop installed). The full installation is 2GB, which is quite a lot (I have a small SSD)
I've never found a solution. I spent a half hour googling the issue - and got nowhere.  If I open a ps file that's big, copy the content, and paste it into a smaller document, I have to do a Command-0, to be able to view the whole image with handles on the pasted content, then manually pull a corner with shift held down until it's close to the size to fit, then manually size the whole thing back up to 100%. Craziness.  Why can't I paste content into another doc, have the transform handles be there, with the clipboard content sized within the window?  This is NOT a problem with Placing stuff from Illustrator This has nothing to do with resolutions  This is simply a request to find a way to paste something big, into something smaller, without having to zoom out until I can see the transform handles.
I just installed my CS6 upgrade (Design Premium) and noticed that all of the CS5 folders are there in addition to CS6.My hunch is that it's still there because it needs to be, but if not, I'd rather have the space free.
I live in Europe and want to upgrade my English CS software to one of the big suits (Production Premium/Master Collection). If I buy from US then even after taxes and postage it all comes $1000 cheaper than Europe price. Which is not chump change for freelancer like me.I have family in USA who will buy it for me as a semi Christmas gift.
I get the colors right then I zoom in or change tools the color changes and then back again like skin goes all red magenta..I work in raw or psd when saving files wrong color occurs again in saved JPG even though color looked alright . Im using windows 8 64  CS6 Same thing occurs even when no plug ins loaded tried all color spaces also. I am not talking monitor to print difference either .
I was positively surprised to find out that many of the options in the tutorial are also in Gimp. However there are something I could not find and I am not sure if this is because they are named differently or else because they are still not there.
The first thing I did not find is "Convert for Smart Filters". In the tutorial it says using this "you can apply filters to the photo while leaving your original in tact. It's a non-destructive way of applying filter effects, as you'll be able to adjust the filters you've applied at any time. First you'll get a message saying the layer will be converted into a Smart Object.".
Another thing I could not find is "Vignette" and "Midpoint"options in Lens Correction (in Gimp I found Lens Distortion) window. Do these exist in Gimp? or can be created with some other filter?
I want to send several graphics to someone by PDF. I think I can do it with Corel Draw, but I want to send a number of JPEG or Tiff graphics all in one PDF file via ONE e-mail.
I think I can do it with graphics in CDR format, BUT, I can't find any instructions on how to do it with any kind of RASTER graphic!
Unfortunately, the people I want to sent them to can only receive stuff in JPEG or Tiff, but NOT in Corel Photo-Paint. I know I can send the graphics one at a time, but that's a bit tedious!
i want to simply painting the background orange. However when every i try to the colour comes out light blue, i cant even use the painting brusg what has happened.
Also the scale tool is not working.I want to scale about 30 images (all orginall the same resolution/size/) however whenever i scale each photograph/ image they come out as either something totally different or do not scale at all. im scalling the to about 29mm/43mm
