View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a simple circle shape with some modifications that I need to not blend with the background color. The edges of the circle blend with the background color, but I will be using this image in a game and the background color is the alpha color. If the background color dissapears in the game, but parts of the circle have colors that blend with that background color, it will look very strange. How can I stop the image from blending it's edges (I guess what it's doing is anti-aliasing to make a smooth effect) with the background?

I am creating a stylized Polaroid photo and want the end result to look like it is lifting off the paper by creating a shadow under it. I cannot seem to find a way to do this with the transparency tool. Look at my photo, I want the shadow to fade outwards from the edge of the photo on all 3 sides.
I have a fabulous image of a painter's palette: [URL]

I want to show only parts of this image at a time, so that the viewer sees it in increments. However, I want to make the edges look more organic, like brush strokes, so that it looks almost as though the painting is being completed and the viewer gets to see the process.
Â
p.s. I'm in CS2, unfortunately, so the bristle brush isn't an options
I want to crop an image and make the edges round instead of square. Do I do this with a mask? Can't figure out how to use a mask. I went to Mask Outline->Smooth and it cut the image out and left the round edges.

Using X% and trying to make some website logo designs but all the letters etc do not look nice and smooth on the site.
I make the logo full size and shrink it then save for web but when I import to the site program and publish the site the logo looks ragged.

I have tried lots of different design ways but still looks crummy.
For a while now I have been attempting to resolve a a part of my CAD drawing. As seen below I have a 3D Solid. The part circled is result of subtracting a cylinder from the shape. I am now trying to find a solution to make both the above and below edges of the dotted line meet as one while maintaining the curve I have subtracted.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been trying how to figure out how to make the center if an object transparent with color gradually appearing on the borders. The transarency tool insists on starting with a solid color in the center. If using a square as an example, how do I make the center transparent with the edges graduating to a solid color?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to catch up with this tutorial: [URL]

But I've got two problems
Â
Firstly: I am trying to draw this shape:[URL]
Â
Now is there anyway to select all those edges and reshape all at the same time to get to that shape drawn in the article (The first photo I have posted) ?
Â
Second problem:
Â
I don't understand this: [URL]
Â
What does the article mean by "Nodes Tool"? It's written there that I should draw a triangle using the polygon tool and then using Nodes tool > Make selected nodes symmetric I will get that shape in the photo above, But I cannot find neither the Nodes tool nor the symmetric nodes option I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC
I try to anti-alias or matte the edges of a shape in order to make a transparent gif/png of it without having pixelated 'hard edges'. The current situation is that I have a selection of some shape in GIMP. Below the layer with the shape in it, I stroke the selection of my shape with a lighter colour by using a fuzzy paintbrush. This gives me some sort of anti-alising effect, but it isn't any close to the matte option in the 'export for web' dialog of Photoshop. Because I really do like GIMP, I am curious if there is a better way to get anti-aliased shapes using Gimp?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried the following in Illustrator,
So basically, I created coloured text inside Adobe Illustrator and however much I zoom into the text, the text always appears to have smooth edges. Once I click on 'Save For Web', the edge all around the text becomes rough and aliased. I chose GIF and PNG, but it still happens. The text is on a transparency background. The same problem applies to images when I am creating a logo.
How do I make the edges of the top layer blend in with the bottom layer so you cannot tell that there is a line??? I want to make it look like a heart but I don't know how to smoothen the edges to make it look like it is part of the bottom layer so when I merge the layers there is no goofy lines looking like someone cropped another fire picture out...
