The Web header I have is 279 pixels long. I would like this extending to 800 pixels. How is this done?
How do you add text and images to the web header? How do you alter the font and size of the text and images?
When finished adding text and images to the header, how do you then get the web header from GIMP to the Web Page?

May 13, 2013I'm making some graphics in AP CS2, and finding myself using everything but the kitchen sink to accomplish this. I'm using the elliptical marquee tool (with shift) and after that the rectangular marquee tool to mark the rest, then inverse my selection and press delete to remove the corner, only after i copied the graphics to a transparent layer. Let's say, for argument, I want a "square" with rounded corners. So I take the shape tool at 50px radius and draw my square. Right off the batt, the round parts look like utter junk.
What other technique could yield a better corner?
Also note that I can take the blur tool and blur the corners so they are somewhat nicer, but then if I put a shadow on the box, you can clearly see the shadow doing weird things on the blured part. Obviously, with all the beautiful PS images out there, smooth rounds are easily obtainable, not these wildly pixelated corners the shape tool gives me.
What can I do that can be as easy as the shape tool?

Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow came close to the effect I want, but Spherize was off the mark. Anything else I can try?

Sep 11, 2005How is the above pictures done in photoshop? This method is used in many places, such as makign headers for websites, skins (lcd display type).. etc... I don't know if it is done using normal photoshop or if additional plugins/brushes/filters etc. are used... Can someone provide some info? I don't need the whole thing spoonfed to me dont misunderstand... Just point me in the right direction please.
On the first one.. the color variation gives it a realistic effect..
on 2nd and 3rd.. the buttons etc... the shine on the corner gives it the glass kind of effect... I've seen a winamp skin make use of the same (called MMD3)...

I cannot seem to do this! I feel very stupid, as i'm not actually bad with photoshop. I've made a 750x450 photoshop file and just cant get it to look nice.
Does someone have a simple method for this? How can i do it to the very maximum size that will fit on the 750 450 doc?
