Dec 26, 2012I'm using fcp hotkey , by default the 'drag copy (single frame)' is mapped to ' alt-c' . Normally this will work fine. But in some case where a cfx clip is selected or my time indicator is parked on top of a cfx clip in active timeline , then do 'alt-c' will give an error message "connectfx cannot be modified inside the containers. Proceed with edit ? "
So to solve this temporarily, i have to first deselect the cfx clip or move the current positioner on top of a non-cfx clip.

May 31, 2013Selecting (in grid view) dragging and dropping image to a new folder copies, not moves image. I want image gone from first folder. It works like that sometimes, but not all athe time.

May 15, 2008I am running Windows XP/Photoshop CS3 and for some reason I can not drag photos around on the screen. This is random as sometimes it works. I have tried everything except reinstalling the software. Which I would rather not do since I have a lot of add-on and plug-in's.
Here's what I have tried:
1. Reset PS preferences on the startup
2. I have used all the various Windows Screen modes using Shift-F.
3. Check for updates online.

Sep 15, 2012Trying to simply drag one image onto another to add it is a layer. PS will not let is happen, both images are jpg - RGB 8 bit. When i try to deop the image onto the other one, I get a blue line outlinging to windows, but the image will not 'merge' and it just bounces back to its own window.

I want to have a gif animation working on a web page - and I want to put a window frame around it so it seems like you are watching the animated image through a window looking into a house. (like a window peeper)
What I need to do is take out the four window pains (or all if I have to) to make the actual pains transparent to show the gif image working.
I am not sure how I can get to superimpose the window frame image OVER the gif image.

Mar 4, 2012I'm running PS CS3 on Mac iBook with 10.5.8
I've been using this setup for years & have always been able to drag out the right bottom corner to increase the grey space round an image so i can transform better or what ever. But now when I try to drag out that corner the image window flinches slightly & a line appears around the image which disapears when I let go.Also when I try to expand the layers palette down by dragging it's lower right cornes so I can see more layers nothing happens, there is no stripey corner marks on that corner & when i try click & try to drag nothing happens.

Jan 6, 2013Why is it when i drag one image from the bottom panel over to another picture(solid color) i will only get 50% of the image and not the full image. Same thing when i copy and paste that image over the gray solid colored image also i will get only 50% of the image. The original image of the cat(full view) is about 24.79% and picture is 11.733 x 15.644 in size. the other image (solid color) is at 43.63% or 6.667 x 8.889". size is in inches. Do i have to resize the images and if so how as i am a stupie in this matter. The images are aligned side by side on the main panel or display.I am trying to place the cat over the gray background image and with a layer mask delete the present baackground of the cat to uncover the gray of the bottom layer.

Oct 30, 2013I upgraded from PSE 10 to PSE 12 this week and am confused about a change in behavior.
I create a large blank document (3600x3600 pixels, scrapbook size) and then drag other items onto it to create new layers.
In PSE10, the items I dragged in kept their original size. In PSE 12, they get resized to match the size of the document I'm dragging them on to.Is there a setting I need to change? Can't find it.

I am trying to drag the entire 4x5 image (it's composed of several layers) onto the 11x17 page and keep it the same size. However, when I drag and drop, the 4x5 image is enlarged to fill the full width of the 11x17 page. This happens even if I hit shift. I recently upgraded from PSE10 where I did this regularly and can't figure out how to do it in PSE12. I have an iMac with OS 10.8.5.

Apr 21, 2013Whenever I drag an image off the web into Photoshop it seems like some colors gets pixels, large black areas inside the image. This only occurs in 8-bit mode, when I turn the image to 32-bit it show all colors correctly. But in 32-bit mode I cannot save to web. If I finish the image in 32-bit and then downgrade it to 8-bit, the black parts return.

Dec 7, 2013I'm using Gimp 2.8.2 on Linux. I've configured the UI to single-windowmode and have opened multiple images, each with a tabbed display.
It is my understanding that I should be able to grab a layer from oneimage and drag-and-drop it onto the tab of another image in order toappend a copy of that layer in the new image. I have not been able to dothis. I'm grabbing a layer from the layers dialog and dragging it to the tab-thumbnail, but the layer is not copied to the new image.
A couple of comments for the UI designers:
* I find the [X] icons on the image tabs to be a real problem getting accidentally selected and dismissing the image when attempting to quickly select another tab. I would prefer another tab dismissal method such as right-click-menu close.
* Some user control over the tabs would be good. For example, I would like to see the the vertical height of of the tabs be smaller and have the option of displaying file names and/or icons.

Mar 21, 2012when it comes to graphics editing. I want to distort an image by dragging a point around, resulting in the image being stretched or pulled by that point. I'm not seeking the stretch/distortion, as much as the movement of bits of the picture.
For example, imagine a smiley-face. I want to click and hold the mouse button on the end of the smile & then pull down to below the center of the smile. Do that again for the other end of the smile. Result = a 'frownie-face'.
Is there anyway to do such a thing with Paint.NET, or an existing plug-in?
AutoCAD 2013 :: Insert Image Drag And Drop
Apr 24, 2013sometimes i like to insert image into a Dwg. In 2012 i use to drag and drop the image from the source folder to autocad screen then i had the insert instructions, scale, position etc.
But i can't drag and drop images anymore in 2013, i have to use _imageattach icon to open the open manager then select an image.
Is there a way to reactivate the drag and drop feature in 2013 ? Must be a Variable to autorise that.

Sep 23, 2012Did 2.8 remove the ability to drag and copy a layer from one image to another? This does not work when I try opening more than one image and dragging a layer between the two images by switching between tabs.
Is there some default box I need to uncheck or some new way to do this?

I recently attempted to use the "Create Photobook" feature and had this problem, some of the photos I wanted to use would not fit into the predetermined frame, I tried teh resize tool however that just seemed to grab teh frame and move or resize it not the photo in it.... is there anyway to select the photo in the frame and apply the resize...
