I dont know why I lost the association of my files with photoshop. when I double click on an jpeg file it opens in windows in windows picture and fax viewer how can I go back to the way it was when everytime I click on and image file it opens photoshop in order to view it?

I went in to associate my file types to open with the new version of PS..I go into the proper sub directory (CC) and find the .exe file..When I click on it it associates the file with my old version of PS.
With Photoshop CS 6 the desktop does not recognize me and allows me to assign the correspondence file. For example, if I double click on a .psd file nothing happens. If I reconnect the program Photoshop to psd file manually, does not recognize it (as if I had not made ​​the selection). While Adobe Photoshop CS6 Bridge point for each matching file, the associates, but when I do a Bridge by double-clicking it, I go into Photoshop without opening the file.

Just installed PSP X6 on windows 8 64 bit. When in file explorer, I click on pspimage file and it opens in X6 64 bit. I want it to open in 32 bit. I did the right click Open With/Choose default program trick to no avail. I also did the File/Preferences/File Format associations and selected PSP X6 32-bit but it still opens it in the 64 bit version.
Do I need to uninstall PSP and install it again minus the 64 bit version to get it to work? I don't use the 64 bit version much cause my plugins are 32 bit.
I've just upgraded from PSP X3 to X4. On my Windows 7 machine, I've had jpg files associated with Windows Photo viewer, but could always open PSP X3 to modify/view a jpg if necessary. Now with X4, the default install changed the jpg file association. (I don't like it when software does that.) I changed it back, and now when I start X4 and direct it to a folder of jpg files, they are listed, but without the thumbnail. If I change the file association back, the X4 starts displaying the thumbnail again.

(ie. - complex plate, but one part uses threaded holes, while an identical one has through holes, with all holes in the same location). So before now I would have built one part, made my drawing file. Then Copy/paste the part file into the same assembly folder, edit the hole feature of the newly copied part, then have to create an entirely new drawing file for the new copied part.
Is there a way to just copy my already created part drawing, and then just change the part file it used? They are basically the same part, but one uses threaded holes, the other uses through holes. My current way seems redundant and time wasting.
How do I change the right click and edit association so a jpg opens for editing in CS6 instead of CS5 in Windows 7? I'd like to keep both programs installed and Windows no longer offers the ability to edit the "edit" association.

When I try use the Share > Photo Mail I get an error message: "There is no email program associated to perform requsted action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

After I hit ok on the windows looking message box, I get a message in PSE: "Elements Organiser could not Finish creating your email Message. Please make sure that Microsoft Outlook is selected as the default email program in the Windows Internet Control Panel, and that all dialog boxes in Outlook are closed. If this is the first time you are using Microsoft Outlook, please run the Outlook applicaiton and complete its set-up process before sending mail through Elements Organizer. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Email Service via the Elements Organiser Preferences Dialog.

I have checked the default programs, and Outlook 2013 has all associated file type and protocols pointed to it. (an dre-booted PC after resetting defaults)So either:
 - I am mising a fix relating to upgrading Win 7 64-bit with PSE10 to Win 8 64-bit or
 - PSE is looking for a particular protocol in the program defaults like MAILTO (but not this one as this is pointed to outlook) that is missing.
I'm using Inventor Pro 2011 and I'm trying to break the association of a BOM from it's assembly. My company uses a "next assembly list" on each drawing to show the quantities and information that appear on the BOM in the next level assembly. To achieve this we insert a parts list referencing the next level, then we turn off the visiblity of all the parts except the item we want shown. The problem we've found with this is that we're using some large assemblies and Inventor slows down when it has to reference the large assembly on each drawing.  All we really want to show is the single line.  If we break the link to the large assembly, we feel that it will speed up the process considerably.

I cannot update it to the correct location. I have deleted the preview folder hoping a rebuild will fix this but it hasn't. I recently 'moved' 140 K + photos to new drives, that's when the problems showed up.

View 1 Replies View Relatedfor no apparent reason I am suddenly unable to change the layer that a object is assigned to. Normally I select a line, then go to the layers pull down menu and click on the desired new layer. Automatically the line changes color to the selected layer.
When I follow this procedure now, the layer name changes in the pull down menu as if the change has been made, but the line remains the old color. Checking in Properties for this line, it shows that it has been changed to the new layer as well, however, when I reselect the line, the Properties changes back to show that it is still assigned to the old layer (color: By Layer is selected).
I removed Lightroom 5 previously installed from disc, and installed Lightroom 5 from the Cloud. The Keyword list is still displayed in the LHS panel, but the images have no Keywords associated with them. How can I re-instate the Keyword-image association?Â

*I got a sheet metal part fixed by jletcher, got it in to the assembly (1), updated the associations and that worked fine.
*I then opened the assembly (2) that contains the assembly (1) and fixed the "cross part associations" this file seems to work after save and reopen.
So, when I open the MAIN assembly it complains about the same stuff. I have fixed it But as soon as i close the files for the day it complains about it again the next day. This seems to go on and on
I have created some some parts in the assembly (2) and projected a few edges to be able to create these parts.

I have a 2D plan and a 3D plan. The data is essentially the same on both, the only difference being that the 2D plan has several hundred points on it (all at elevation/z coordinate of 0, of which can easily be copied to the 3D plan).
I want to move those 2D points to their respective 3D positions. I.e. if point X is at coordinates 15213.321, 51646.632, 0 I would like to search in the Z direction above (or below; although in this data set it would always be above) for any object (line, polyline, 3dpolyline or an arc only I think) that crosses or is on this coordinate and then move the point (or place a new point) to that z coordinate. So if there is a line whose z value is 895.265 at coordinate 15213.321, 51646.632, then the point (that was originally 2D) would become 15213.321, 51646.632, 895.265.
Any lisp or other method in AutoCad that could accomplish this (ideally without having to select each point individually)? Surely this must have come up a few times before although I'm not too sure what search words to be using to look for info.
IÂ have a problem with Dimension association to any existing object in my drawings. If i draw anything new in the same drawing this problem does not occur. The leaders are also associating themselevs to these objects.
When i select a line, no grips appear even though if i draw a new line they do.
-I have tried to use DIMDISASSOCIATE the dimensions from the objsect to no avail.
-I have tried changing the DIMASSOC variable but this didnt work.
-I have tried exporting the objects to new files but still the same problem, only with the objects from this drawing.
It seems to have made every object associative. The only thing i can think that caused this was i pasted in a drawing from a pre 2002 Autocad version.
How can I sort  an association list?
for example:

The association between design speed (V) and radius of circular curve (R),
As the R is positively related to V according to the equation (attached), then I expect that the C3D changes R value as the value of V is changed.
For example, on the attached screenshots, the R value of horizontal alignment is built based on a design speed of 100km/hr. Now if the speed is changed to 50km/hr, then why the value of R is not automatically changed to be compatible with the new speed?

 Having tested it in different ways, it looks like at the end, el1 represents the association list that I want my object to have, but it doesn't want to update.
I want to do a simple thing : drop ortho-photo on surface generated from contour line.
First thing, I need the basic terrain. I did import my contour line in a new draw, using the import map feature. I then saved the draw under the name " topo ". At this point, the contour line are 2D break line with no elevation.
I then opened a new draw to which I did associate my draw " topo ". Then I used a query to modify the elevation of the line using the attribute " contour " in my table, thus resulting in my breakline to become 3-D. It works fine. Then I save the new draw as " 3D_Topo ". I then get a warning :
" The association between objects interogated in the current drawing and associated will be deleted once the current document of the draw is closed " (I made the translation from french to english, in french it stated like this :  " L'association entre des objets interrogés dans des dessins courants et associés sera supprimée une fois le fichier de dessin courant fermé. " ).Â
Well question #1 : What does this warning mean / imply ?Â
Then, I have those .ecw files as ortho photo which I want to import. So I use the function " connect " with raster image, then I select my file, then I " add to draw ".... then something very strange happens.Â
Sometime, the image appears correctly...and some other times I get nothing and I get this " disconnected " message in the task pane ..and no matter how many time I actually connect again the .ecw files, it will not happen in the draw ! Then I simply close the draw, start map 3D again, then I do the exact same thing, and sometime it works, sometime it doesn't.Â
Question #2 : any clue on why the .ecw files sometime works, sometime doesn't?Â
Now, let's assume I finally made it to connect correctly and that Map3d didn't crash whilst I was doing it (because I don't know for you, but here, it does happens quit often), I now have (as shows in the picture I attached) two thing. A surface made (well, I went back in the civil 3-D module to make the actual surface from the breakline definition) with the contour line and a imported image. I now want to drap the image on my surface! So I use the option " drap " which is in the surfaces option (in the ribbon surface tools)... well it looks nice since it propose me to use the surface I made up with the contour line as the base and the imported .ecw files as the file to be draped upon. So I simply do that and.... well...nothing happens! My image isn't draped at all, it stays there, Â
Question #3 : How should I proceed to actually drap my image over my surface ?Â
Question #4 : Considering I made it to drap the surface, how can I save this new draw independently of the attached other draw or database?

One message is "Pain't cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file or it's format is not currently supported." Couldn’t display DSC-0023.jpg because a suitable graphics importer could not be found.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 I was unable to run Photoshop or Bridge CS6. Photoshop would give me an error about "could not open a scratch file because the file is locked. If I ran either of these programs as an administrator they would run without issue, this led me to believe that there was a permission issue somewhere. After some digging I found out the both Bridge and Photoshop try to create a temp file (similiar to Photoshop Temp2777223910092) on the c: drive of the computer. In my case the user that I was logged in with did not have access to write to the root of the C: drive. Note that you run the program as the administrator and change the scratch disk location as that changes the preference for the administrator user and not the user that you are currently logged in as.

I first had to give the user that I was logged on with write permissions to the root of the C: drive. Next try and run Photoshop, you will get an error another error about the scratch disk and about and invalid or missing setting file. To correct this you need to have run Photoshop as an administrator, next you can go to Users AdminAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings and copy Adobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs and/or Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs to Users<your logged in username>AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6.Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings.

The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.
