I'm trying to load an ink splatter brush set from brusheezy.
The extension is *.abr
When I select load brushes and pick the file nothing happens. I'm not asked to replace or append and my brush palette remains the same.
Any ideas on what the problem may be?
I have CS3 Web Premium on an Alienware Area 51 M12j 7700i laptop.
Recently I had to wipe the HD and reinstall the OS, and everything else.
Photoshop deactivated, installed and re-activated fine, but when I try to use any brushes(except the default ones), I get:
"Could not load the brushes because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"
This is weird as they worked just fine before I had to redo everything...
Anyone know what's the cause?
Brushes keep un installing. CS6, Windows7. Is there away to load more then one brush at a time?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to have a palette of about a dozen or so of my favorite brushes, but I want to select them from the hundreds of brushes which can be loaded. Once I load a set, it is a very, very time consuming process to delete a couple of hundred individual brushes from the set so that I have only the few I want.
Is there a better way to do this? Can multiple brushes somehow be deleted at once? Or can I inspect brush sets and choose to load the individual brushes which interest me?
I am interested in grouping and sorting brushes according to size, shape, whatever.
Right now when I add a brush library, they just stack on top of one another.
For example let's say I have a round brush with a 10 diameter, then next to it a round brush with a 20 diameter. If I make a 15, it goes to the bottom of the list, and I have to scroll all around. How can I group them?
I suspect I would have to make my own brush library with my brushes how I want them, then save that and load it?
I have CS5 and wonder if there is a SIMPLE way to check to see if it needs any updates since the newer software version of Apple was applied to my computer. The website seems extremely confusing unless you know exactly what you need and what you are looking for. Photoshop has begun to run slower on my IMAC.

Have a quick and hopefully easy question for ya'll. Looking at making some color changes to a picture, and have easily been able to change colors using hue/saturation and turning reb to blue, etc. The problem that I've run into now is how do I change something that is black in a picture into being able to change the color on that. In essence I am trying to take an object that is currently red and black and flip the colors to be black and red. The is quite a bit of detail in the image that I need to keep also. Any hints are extremely welcome.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to find out how to make those Glass/Plastic looking tubes like the one on this sites homepage. Not the Forum main, but the Team Photoshop homepage.
I can Make them by hand, but time is of the essence, so shortcuts would be great.I know they're a little, um... Passe, but I think they'd can make them work on a project I need done TOMORROW.
I have Photoshop elements 2.0 for mac and have read your "Making round corner rectangles in Photoshop" I think that Elements must not have the this option. I'm missing the paths (Create Work Paths Tool) (Vector Shape tool) Everytime I use the "rounded Corners Rectangle tool" It makes rounded corners but it does it in reverse.
I takes away the middle of my photos instead of the outside of the photos. I can't seem to reverse this or invert it. I tried clicking in invert and nothing happens. It just always takes away the center of the photo.
What can I do???
If I have a set of images I want to make a quick print of on an 8x10 sheet, as thumbnails, is there an easy automated way to do this (short of creating my own action which manually places thumbnails side by side)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw a video of some guy making a texture for a 3d model in photoshop and time to time he switched to a window where he could see and manipulate the 3d model with the unfinished texture and no, he didn't save the project and apply it everytime. I was wondering if that was a plug-in or something like that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to do for a WEB many PNG icons (aprox. 70x70 pixels e/a). There will be like 20 of them loaded in the WEB at the same time. which kind of compression I should pick when I save as a PNG: "None/Fast" or "Smallest/Slow", and "Interlaced" or notMy main concern is that the WEB page should load them the fastest possible.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some images lots of them(like over 200) and I want the fastest easiest way to remove the background and keep the look of the text(ie nothing gets lost from it).
I am going to save them as transparent gifs but like I said I don't know how to do them very fast.
They all are black on white:
I rcently installed PS CS on my Dell Inspiron 8500 notebook, a P4 2.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 64Mb GeForce 4 4200 (15.4" WUXGA+ 1680x1050), Hitachi 60GB 7,200rpm disk, DVD+RW and it so unbelievably slow. I cannot even do a simple Elliptical Marquee without having to wait ages (a lot of disk I/O activity). The settings of CS are at default. It's completely put me off this software-am I missing something here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe pic on the right shows what I'd like to change. Problem is the borders can be tedious to do one line at a time. That is brush set at 1 pixel wide-dark gray. Then draw one map line. Then change to light gray to do center of line then draw right next to other line without messing alignment up. Then finally going back to dark gray to draw once again to other side of border line.
What would take a pro 5 minutes because he would know the shortcuts would take me hours to do these map changes. So could anyone tell me how to create a custom brush 3 pixels wide that would have the center pixel be lighter gray while the outer 2 pixels of line would be darker. I know how to use color picker to match with what's already in the game so you could skip that. I would just like to know how to create a custom brush that could do multiple colors in one stroke. I'm using XP and CS2 BTW. If anyone would like the targa files that make up these 3 regions in the game to mess around with I will send them.
The best way to describe it is that the cursor vibrates very fast in some circumstances, especially when using the Brush tool and adjusting its size using Cmd + Alt + Drag, as well as pressing Alt to sample a color when using the Brush tool. The issue does not happen when using the eyedropper tool.
Video:
This has been around in both Photoshop CS6 and CC, on both OS X Mountain Lion and Mavericks. I have reproduced the bug on both my Late 2008 MacBook Pro using a Wacom Bamboo Fun, a Wacom Intuos 4 and a Wacom Intuos 5 (all with latest drivers) and same with four new iMacs running both Mountain Lion and Mavericks. It does not happen with a mouse. It cannot be interference, as I can always reliably reproduce this is three separate cities around the world.
If the Wacom tablet was sending jittery coordinates to the computer, then surely the mouse cursor would also vibrate, or at least the Eyedropper tool would exhibit the same bug that the Brush tool while pressing Alt to color sample does.
To test it, please use a Wacom pen and try adjusting the brush size using Cmd + Alt + Drag, as well as using the brush tool and pressing Alt to sample a color (preferably on a photo or noise so that you can clearly see the difference between various pixels and colors. Be sure to not be zoomed in too much, try zooming to 100% or less, otherwise the pixels are too far from each other for the jitter to make a difference.
I often use the ruler tool. Its located below the eyedropper tools.
How can I bring up this tool to select it with one fast click - instead of long clicking at the eyedropper to wait the popping up the (sub)tools.
The shortcut "I" only selects the first of the tools.
How to control the angle and roundness without having to constantly do it within the panel.
