View 5 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my Mac Pro with more memory and a new SSD drive. I already use an SSD (120 GB) as my boot drive with applications and LR catalog. I moved the ACR cache to the new SSD drive (480 GB) and set it to 120 GB, and I'm also using that drive for documents. I have my images stored on a 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Black drive. I have 24 GB or RAM, which should be more than enough for LR.
This should be faster than my previous set-up, but since I started using this configuration I'm seeing the "Loading..." icon in the develop module after every change I make (adding a vignette, changing the exposure, etc.). This is very strange. Could it have something to do with the cache rebuilding, since I moved it?
so I took this picture today with my phone and my phone makes my shirt appear purple, instead of what it originally is, black.

How to change the color of the sash in this photo from red to blue.
The biggest problem is how to change the color the sash is partially covered with the girl's hair.
I wrote my signature on piece of paper, then scanned it in, removed the white background, leaving just the signature in blue ink on a transparent background and saved it as a .gif. HOWEVER, I need to make the signature darker blue. I've used clipping masks in the past, but cannot figure how to do this in Paint.net.
I made duplicate copy of the original .gif, then created a layer and filled it with a darker blue. What do I do from here so that when I put the layers together the signature is darker, but the background is still translucent?
After making a cutout in the cutout-lab/preview/ok, returning to the main workspace area, there remain, unlike in the instruction DVD, 2 blue dotted lines around the object: one from the rectangular box and one showing the cutout outline. As a result I can't make a clip mask from the object transparency box.
Has it to do with settings not mentioned in the dvd? The 'remove mask button' is inactive. I just picked some bitmaps from the internet and tried to make them into one.
When you want to use skew on grayscale element you should be prepared for blue edges.

View 1 Replies View RelatedReferring to the image attached, this is my question: I want to make all the blue and red in the image of one plain shade. You can see that in the image there are couple of patches of red and blue color separated by while lines. Now inside one of these colored patches (which is isolated form another patch by a combination of above mentioned white lines and the boundary of the image itself), the color is either red or blue. This color does not look uniform because this image is a scan of a painting. Hence, although the entire patch is red/blue, not every pixel in that patch is of the same shade. If I wanted to change everything inside one such region to a plain red or blue color, how can I do that? If such is the case then I will try to articulate it better. Find attached, the image.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop Elements 10 which I work with sparingly. I would like to outline a section of the photo (a face) and somehow select it to be the whole photo - in other words to get rid of all background elements. I can outline the area with lasso, but do not know how to just save that area. When I save, the whole original photo is saved. I also tried the magic extractor, which really worked to make just the face and crop everthing else out, but it has a white background the same size as the original photo, which means it is essentially a reactangle with a face in it. I am trying to just get the face so I can paste it into a document, sort of like when people put heads on fake bodies. This is for a church newsletter. I have done this with my old Picture It software, but that was on my old computer. I think I should be able to do this with all the gadgets Photo Shop has, but I must be missing something.
