Dec 3, 2012When I draw a line in photoshop creates a blurry outline around the line that does not occur when I draw the line in Paint. How do I achieve the same solid line in Photoshop?

Nov 11, 2008way to make a CAD drafted plan look like it was drawn by hand? Or is there a way to use a photoshop brush to draw a line that looks like the pressure was varied along the length of the line, giving it some artistic character?
I've heard of people using Illustrator for this type of thing, but all I have is photoshop. I'm on a quest to make CAD drawings look hand-drawn.

Aug 27, 2012I'm trying to simulate a light beam, but my rays have such hard edges (especially the one on top). Is there no way of 'fading' them out or blurring them? I tried AA, but that didn't work.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Dome Solid Without Hard Edges
Mar 14, 2013I need to create several domed solids (as different parts) based on 2D sketches of various shapes. I am trying to emulate domes that you might creating by pouring thick resin.
Using this forum I have found that you can do this easily using Loft to-point, then use the Conditions tab to get the dome height/shape set nicely.
The only problem is when the 2D shapes have a corner that is too sharp - then it leaves ridges on the domes - like the arrows show on this example - which is based on a simple rectangle with 0.5m radius corners:
I found one thread on this forum that said to use Delete-Face, then Patch - but the I couldn't get the patch to leave nice smoothed edges - and without bulging.

Jan 27, 2006how to basically blur/blend/remove lines between two images placed side by side. Or even when you have a overlayed image partially covering another image but you can still see where that image ends.
I have got two pictures right beside eachother and I would like to make it look like it is one picture and not be able to see where they both end.
I have been using the basic blur and smudge tool on the lines and It just does not work.
Does anyone have a solution to times like this when you have the edges of pictures?

Mar 9, 2013sometimes Photoshop (Intuos 4, AMD Phenom2 X6 1100T@3.333GHz) draws a hard line at full pressure instead of a soft, dynamic curve. It simply connects the starting and ending point. Painting ia 20000x14000@16GB Ram with PS using 12GB, painting size 6GB.
I also experienced when going back history states with ctrl-alt-z the tool automatically switches to zoom, and sometimes history just jumps back to the latest state.

Click on the canvas, hold SHIFT to force a straight line, move towards the bottom of the document, let go of the mouse button, it draws a line straight to my mouse's cursor! I have no other ideas what is causing this.

Oct 19, 2011I am not able to draws circles and lines etc. using the ribbon or the command line. i am using the correct procedures per the tutorials and I have Google search how to add circles. I click the circle on the ribbon, choose my center point and drag to choose the radius, left click and no circle, same procedure for a simple line.
Is there something that needs to be activated for these to work? I have an activation code which I do not remember using when I installed the software, I only remember using the serial number and product key.

Where I am confused is that once the line is drawn from top to bottom and I go to draw the line across the upper area the anchors stay connected.
I tried the Alt key + click to cut the path but (as you advanced folk probably already know) it didn't work.
way to make the bottom Anchor an end Anchor? Does that even exist?
Honestly I am not even sure what I ought to be looking for in the manual etc.
I tried just drawing the shape for the Glossy effect and then filling it with the required gradient but frankly it just looks odd ... it looks flat and basically UGLY
The blue line that goes across is the problem for me.
I should also mention, if you go to the tutorial ... it says that I am suppose to Duplicate the Inner Circle but I made too many goofs and somehow all my layers ended up on one layer so rather than doing what the tut instructs I just made a New Layer and then drew a new circle with the Ellipse tool.
Even so, I actually couldn't grasp why or how I was suppose to go about intergrating the new circle with using the Pen Tool to draw the Glossy effect object. So, I skipped that part and just used the Pen tool to draw the needed shape as shown above in pink.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Edges And Hidden Lines Disappear On Zoom?
Oct 16, 2013Having an issue where in a part model with the view set to "wireframe with hidden edges" the edges and hidden edges disappear when you try to zoom in on the part. Actually not working with "wireframe and visible edges only" at any zoom level either.
The edges are there and I know that there are features that should be showing up as hidden.
Running Quadro FX 3800 with the most current drivers, and I only noticed this when switching to IV 2014.
Also running IV Build 222 SP 1
This is making designing very hard as I can't tell anymore where there are instances of features interfering with each other.

Oct 31, 2013I am teachnig a class on Revit and I see a new check box in the setup dialog box for printing.I did go to help file and this is what it says: "Region edges mask coincident lines. Select this option if you want the edges of masking regions and filled regions to cover lines with which they coincide. (This option is available only if the Vector Processing option is enabled.)"
