I've tried moving it in an elevation and section, but it will only move left and right, not up and down. My teacher said something about changing the view range, which I did.

I want to have a building block type 1 that I can update the block or xref then updates the surface rather than doing each one individually. The Block would have a FFE of 0.00 and then the stoops, etc would either be a 0.1 drop or so.
How to write an AUTOLisp program to label building dimensions. With Civil3d 2013 preventing me from labeling multiple lines at once, creating building labels to dimension complex building exteriors is much more complicated than it needs to be. Lisp Routine that Generates a MText or Dtext dimension centered on a line and offset to be clear of the line. the layer for this piece of text would always be "DIMS-BLDG" and the text style will always be "L50s."
the text doesn't have to be organized as it is in this example. the main focus is the layer being correct with the foot mark, precision set to xx.x and oriented to the line.
I am using AutoCad C3D. I have drawn a building and now I am trying to position the building on a plot with uneven property lines using only “tie distances” from the spots on the property to specific spots of the building.
I do not know which C3D program functions (with just distances known) to get the building placed properly on the plot.
When I draw a line in photoshop creates a blurry outline around the line that does not occur when I draw the line in Paint. How do I achieve the same solid line in Photoshop?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was working in CAD wire-frame and I'm drawing a small plate 230*60*15, is there any way to turn this into a solid object or add edges to it, so it appears as 1 object?
I realise you can draw a simple 2d line and extrude the edges but what i want to know is can you add surfaces to the wire frame.
The attachment below shows some of our thicker linestyles that we need for our life safety plans in the form of detail lines. In ACAD we could produce "squared" corners in stead of this spraypaint look.
Is there a way to get what we want in Revit or do we just need to accept yet another limitation of this program?
I have just installed Photoshop CS6 and notice every time i add a new layer there is pixelated lines and decayed shapes that show up. This makes it impossible to work. I have a Nvidia Quadro 6000 running in combination with a tesla c2075 there was not any problem i could see with other CS6 programs and it was working fine with CS5.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue where in a part model with the view set to "wireframe with hidden edges" the edges and hidden edges disappear when you try to zoom in on the part. Actually not working with "wireframe and visible edges only" at any zoom level either.
The edges are there and I know that there are features that should be showing up as hidden.
Running Quadro FX 3800 with the most current drivers, and I only noticed this when switching to IV 2014.
Also running IV Build 222 SP 1
This is making designing very hard as I can't tell anymore where there are instances of features interfering with each other.

I am teachnig a class on Revit and I see a new check box in the setup dialog box for printing.I did go to help file and this is what it says: "Region edges mask coincident lines. Select this option if you want the edges of masking regions and filled regions to cover lines with which they coincide. (This option is available only if the Vector Processing option is enabled.)"

The model look like this :
And in the drawing I have some missing lines :
I tried to display the missing part in a separate drawing and it's OK.
I use Inventor 2011.
I am currently using AutoCAD 2010. I'm placing some length dimensions on partial sections of a circle and the arc dimension comes straight out from the chosen points as a dimension of a flat line does. I would like it to look like an angular dimension without having to use a text override. Is there any way to change that to where the placed dimension lines follows the edges of the section instead of coming straight out?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently invested in CS6 Production Premium and I've just tested legacy support by saving an Illustrator CS6 image in CS4 format.
The image contains a number of semi-transparent gradient meshes used for highlights.
Having loaded the saved CS4 .ai file in CS6, white lines appear along my semi-transparent gradient meshes (see the attached screenshot).
What's happening is that the anchor points with 0% opacity in CS6 suddenly have 100% opacity when I load the saved CS4 files in CS6.
Is this a known error? If so, how/where do I report it?
Here are the relevant CS6 and CS4 files: [URL] ....
There are no white lines when I save the image in CS5 format and load it in CS6.
I really need a auto lisp that do lines/polyline on line edges creating a polygon like the example.

In the preview window i noticed that every time a new clip is being played, the program adds a top line and bottom line, often displaying something from the previous clip in the timeline. I thought this was not a big deal, but then after saving my video as a finish .avi file, the problem was not solved..
On following webpage, there's a screen picture of my problem: [URL] ...
The clips are recorded with a 4:3 ratio and 720p, 60 frames/s. When i played the finish created file, i tried in Windows Media Player and in VLC.
how I would go about adding contour lines to a map? I entered roughly 200 points (x, y, and z values) into an x-y plane on AutoCAD and figured that if I were to add contour lines (1' elevation difference), it would rely on the z axis. In short: how do I add contour lines if the points are all plotted?

Right now, I use the Distance command to find out the bearing, write it down, and then add it to the aligned linear dimension text. I'm guessing there's a faster way to get a bearing along with the distance without typing it in.

It could get somewhat messy doing Generate Spaces... if the doors and swings are frozen the bounding objects don't get found... but if the doors and swings are on... the spaces go in fairly well... but then the door swing is used as a boundardy.
I checked a couple of old posts looking for a lisp routine that will count the number of lines and list each different length either in a dialog box or txt file. I am working on an estimate and I have a floor plan of owsj of different lengths. I downloaded the tlen.lsp but that is only giving the total number of joists and the total length.
I am looking for a lisp so that I can window all the owsj at once and have it list or show the result for the joist in this manner
sample output:
xx joists = 10'-0"
xx joists = 20'-0"
xx joists = 30'-0"
I have programs that at some point or another create dimensions for what was drawn. When you have a vertical dimension that doesn't fit between the extension lines, it will either go up and to the right or down and to the left.
I can change it manually by selecting the dimension and then right click and pick Dim Text position > Move with leader.
What I want to know is, is there a way to set the vertical dimension where you want it programatically? I would like to put the vertical dimension down and to the right of the arrows if possible.
Is it possible to add text and lines into round parts? Those are for the manufacturer so they can see where exactly all the stuff will be painted on.
