I read manuals how to define some hotkeys, and it works fine. But i still can't define hotkey for Color->Invert , it is not exist in list of shortcuts. How i can add it?
There seems to be tons of threads on how to make a transparent image, but I haven't been able to fine one to do one specific thing.
How do I set the alpha channel to be black? I want to have a black background on a png file, but I need the black to be transparent to things behind it on a webpage.
What exactly does a 2 or 3-color print mean? Is it the number of spot colors (eg, Pantone colors) used for the artwork, or the number of process colors used (C, M, Y and/or K)?
Working in CS5.5, When I open my Photoshop the main work are in transparent. I see the menu and tool bar, layers etc. but the desktop shows through and it is very distracting. How do I get a neutral gray background?
I pressed some command key in error and got a bright blue background in the application frame around the image I've got open in Photoshop cs6. How do I get it back to the neutral gray?
i created a sphere that will control the rotation of the fingers. i align the sphere to the bone so it has the same angles. the bone angle is 0,0,0 but the sphere is (15, 10.23, 2)if i freeze the sphere, the angle get 0,0,0 but they get align with the world axis as X Y Z, how can i 0,0,0 and maintain the align rotation of the bone?
in Softimage there is something call set neutral pose, only change the angle displays to zero so the animator dont have a hard time.
Whenever I attempt to open a non-native format file from outside of Inventor it launches a fresh instance of IV. Currently I've been working around it by dragging the file to the status bar of IV, but at least a few times a week I forget and double click it.
Some scouring of the web and these boards yielded some info concerning this problem as it pertains to native formats, but I haven't been able to find anything for neutral formats. I'm sure it requires a registry key tweaking, but I'm not comfortable enough with regedit to go in there and just start changing stuff without some level of guidance. The problem occurs whether the files are opened from windows or an internet browser (tried firefox and ie). I suspect that every format I ever wanted to open would require a separate edit, in that case I'd be perfectly happy with just a fix for .step files. That would at least have me set for 90% of my downloads and offer an improvement to my overall sanity level.
What is the best export/import format for sending 3D files. I need some neutral format files, possibly Solidworks but I am not sure. Also any export settings to make sure I get decent quality files.
Nothing like getting a surface model when you want solid model.

i'm trying to make a new brush from a scanned photo. now i've done this before, and never had a problem, but it seems that with this particular picture, i can't. i've selected it, erased the background, turned it to grayscale etc.. looked in the tutorials, help, in many many forums.. i made sure the feathers were turned to 0, and the option "define brush preset" remains untouchable.
I want to select part of an image to turn into a pattern.
If I make a selection using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, I can go to Edit - Define Pattern to define a new pattern based on that selection. So far, so good.
If I make my original selection bigger by using Select - Transform Selection and commiting the transformation, the Edit - Define Pattern option is still available. This is the behavior I expect.
If I make my original selection smaller by using Select - Transform Selection and commiting the transformation, the Edit - Define Pattern option is greyed out.
I am having some trouble making a new pattern from a selection in Photoshop CS6. If I simply use the rectangular selection tool over an area that I would like to make a new pattern from, I can go to Edit > Define Pattern to make a new pattern from my selection. However, if I transform the selection or create a selection using ctrl-click on a layer, the option Edit > Define Pattern is unavailable.
I wanted to remove a tumb that caught the corner of the lense in a shot with the clone tool, so I choose my clone tool, select a copy of the background layer, and press alt to select my source. It doesn't work! I don't get my little plus thing. I've also noticed that I can't select part of the photo with the lasso tool either. I AM selecting the proper layer on the side! I don't get it, why isn't this working?
I've tried resetting the tool, I've tried several different files, it just refuses to let me select a source. My alt key is working, ctrl-alt-del says so.
Im trying to define a custom shape from a path but its greyed out on the edit menu, i've read that you simply select the path with the path selection tool and then edit>define custom shape but no luck..
On using magic extractor - I need to make straight lines on my edit of a cupboard, Other than doing it free hand is there a way to do it using a ruler or some kind of measurements or straight lines ?
basically i need to cut out an image (cupboard) so it can be used for advertising purposes and i need clean lines at the bottom of the cupboard as there are shadows i need to edit out.
I work on a Mac with three monitors. My primary monitor is in the middle. I often will drag images to one of the side monitors where they'll stay open while I'm working on other images. But Photoshop will open the next image I choose on the side monitors where I've got images open.
I want all new images to open on my primary monitor, always. Is there a way to define which monitor images will open on?
I want to define a point (U in the following drawing) and use it as a reflection point to find the reflection of vertices of a triangle regarding this point.
I know there is "point" command and I can define a point with this command. Upon defining the point, I can't see it in the monitor and I can't snap it to draw the line.
How can I make it visible and apply snap to point?
My main issue is as follows: In the triangle ABC and point U are given, points A', B' and C' are reflection of points A,B and C according to point U. What is the easiest way to obtain points A', B; and C' and draw the polygon?
I do as follow although might not be a smart way: In order to find the reflection point, I want to draw a circle with center located in this point (U), and radius is known (AU, Bu and CU), then draw the ray from A, B and C passing through point U and then trim the ray. If you have better solution for finding the reflex,
Reflection is same as mirror but my object is an imaginary point (A, B and C) and I don't know if I can apply the mirror command in this case.
I have noticed that I am not able to copy a colour from a palette of colours. (In the Title area) I click on the desired colour, click Define Custom Colour and then click the Add to Custom Colours feature. It looks like this feature does not hold the colour...
