there was one photographer who's style always looked really cool to me but I could never duplicate so I thought maybe someone here could figure it out.
I notice that the shadows are pretty blue and the highlights a lot more yellow,
Adobe has stated that Photoshop CC users will have access to all files saved on their computers. What will be the functionality of files processed with Photoshop CC and saved on my computer if I no longer subscribe to Photoshop CC?  Adobe will introduce new functions such as Camera Shake Reduction to Photoshop CC. Let's say that I use a new function on a layer or as a Smart Object, and then save it on my computer, and then end my subscription to Photoshop CC. Will I be able to open the file with my layers intact and editable in any program other than Photoshop CC?  If I save the files with the layers merged as TIFFs or JPEGs I assume that I will be able to open them with most photo programs. Let's say that I do not save merged files and I am willing to sacrifice the layers. Will Photoshop CC be required to merge the layers and save as files that can be edited in other programs? What happens with other file types such as PSDs?  Let's say I own CS6 or previous versions with perpetual licenses. Will I be able to open and edit files in CS6 with layers created in Photoshop CC?
I am using Lighroom 4. When I tried to export post-processed files (from NEF) to photoshop, I am getting an error (see the attachment below).
The problem has to do with missing Camera Raw 7.0. When I checked CS5 Photoshop, ACR 6.6 was installed. . When I checked Adobe webisite today, the most updated ACR is v. 6.6. How can I fix this error?
I am trying to MOVE folders from my Desktop to an External Drive. Error "An error has occurred during the move process. Some files may not have been processed." I regularly Move Folders and I've never had problems before.
I am trying to annotate a floor plan to show the location/orientation of section, elevation and detail drawings. The labels must also indicate the appropriate drawing cross reference. (basically a circle with a arrow, text inside circle showing drawing cross reference). My question is - is there an automated way/library to insert such labels or do I have to create each of them from individual elements and make a block?
Corel VideoStudio Pro has the ability to apply multiple filters to a video. There are buttons to change the order of a filter. However, it's not clear to me which order they are applied to the video clip.
Are the filters applied from the top of the list down or layered on top of each other from the bottom of the list up?
I'm using LR 3.x and when I export a group of files, the preview tiles (not the image itself) are sometime half grey, like they didn't fully get processed. I usually delete them and re-export the problem file.
How can i remove processed files from my HDD. it is taking lots of space in there...??
i am using softfx in the timeline and each time i process it is taking the space i want to keep the last one with which i am happy and remove the others; with the processed files that was created by smoke. so i belive i can save some space in my hdd.
I've selected around 300 images from an intial shoot of 1200. I've assigned a star to the selected 300 and developed a colour image of each. Now, I need to make a BW version of each of the 300 images     What is the simplest way to do this? I have tried to make virtual copies of the selected 300 and assign 2 stars to enable me to keep the original 300 in colour and work on the soon to be BW versions, but when I do this I can only make a single virtual copy at a time. I'm sure it must be possible to select all 300 at once, and make 300 virtual copies somehow.  Is there a simple video demonstrating this workflow somewhere?
I recently conducted a test on some RAW image files that I processed into maximum file size JPEGs, both through Adobe Camera RAW and Lightroom's Export. The Lightroom version of the same image was nearly twice the size.
From the release notes: "Catalog containing images processed with PV2003 were adding a post-crop vignette when catalog upgraded to Lightroom 5"  Does that mean all my PV2003 images (10,000+) now have a post-crop vignette included in their edit history? Or some? Or some special combination? I converted my v4.4 catalog a couple of days after v5.0 was released, so I really don't want to go back to my old v4.4 catalog and re-convert..
1- How do I move files from one folder to another with LR3? Â 2- If I export the processed raw file as a DNG will the processing go with the export as DNG file?
I am having trouble with my cross hair not showing the size of my brushes or clones (where it shows a circle around the cross hair to know what size the brushes are) - this has happened before and someone told me to shut it down, and re-open photoshop, but it is not working!
I just made a logo brush, and can't see the brush until I actually stamp it on my picture. I've looked around trying to see if there is a "box not checked" somewhere that would allow me to see the brush size before I start using it, no luck.
A support person told me that I only need to buy a CS6-upgrade for Windows and would be able to install it on a Windows PC by entering my CS4-Mac-serial number, is that true?
I'd like to know that before I spend a lot of money for the upgrade. Â By the way, I don't necessarily need the CS6 version but I'm about to buy the upgrade because I heard that cross-grading works only with CS6.
I have ancient Mac photoshop and pagemaker files. i need best cross platform product for windows that can access these files. adobe photoshop is my primary concern. I understand the indesign cs2 will import old school mac photoshop 6.0.x but is not compatible with windows 7 ..  So in summary, need to determine which Windows 7 x64 version of Indesign CSxx will still open archaic Mac Adobe files (layouts, EPS, etc). Or is there a similar product that must be obtained. I prefer to stick to Adobe products  Also, if you know what I should obtain, does this product have a trial download option that I can test functionality before purchase?
Recently I was working in Photoshop CC, and I noticed something. Zoom in...how the lines of the selection cross each other. I know that when a new selection is made on top of an older selection the new selection either removes, adds, subtracts or intersects the old selection. I've been a Photoshop user for quite a few years but did not see something like this till now.
how to make a cross from scratch. I'll put my own design to it, but I simply do not how to go about making something in Photoshop from scratch. Some people make items that do not look like paint, but look like a 3d Cross. Is this done with Photoshop or something else I wish my college offered classes for Photoshop, but they do not. Everything is Computer Science, and Math.
cs6 liquify tool has no cross in the center of the circle, how to fix it?? It was working before with a small cross in the circle, but one day the cross is gone!??
I'm working on an assignment and I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a cross-layer transaprency effect. By that I mean two seperate layers that gradually fade until they meet somewehere halfway inbetween. Kinda like a gradient, only with opacity.
Today i called into adobe to preform a cross-upgrade from my windows Photoshop Cs3 to mac Photoshop Cs4. All this together would cost 200$. I gave them my serial number twice, they repeated it back to me and everything was correct. But they said they could not find the serial number in the system. My parents bought it on a website from Canada 2 years ago so we no longer have the receipts. I say this because they said they would need proof then i could go ahead and start the process. Is there another way of prooving i purchased it or something else i can do?
Has anyone out there had experience with creating a cross star filter effect using PS7? I realize that in an ideal world the effect would be created on the camera lens, but who lives in a perfect world? Photoshop allows us to turn our imperfections into perfections. I would like to create a 4 point and a 6 point cross star effect, but am clueless on were to start.
Is there a way to turn off cross-hairs for Photoshop when using a very fine brush? i recently bought Wacom Cintiq 12WX and find cross hairs under the pen incredibly jarring.
i selected "normal brush tip" option in preferences > cursors menu and it works fine with bigger brushes but currently i'm working on a small-format illustration and use 1 and 2 px brushes a lot and cross hairs are still present for brushes that small. Â Photoshop CS6 Wacom Cintiq 12WX Windows 7
Well I am scanning nice oils on canvas and getting too much glare from the scanner light. I've been looking around and found that only way to get around it is to take a photograph of the piece with cross-polorization but I dont have the equip for this, can I get the same results in photoshop or the scanner?
i dont know why but sometimes my mouse cursor changes to a cross hatch rather than be an arrow or circle? why is it changing and how can i get it back to like a circle?
its very annoying to paint or erase using the cross hatch as the exact area that will be covered is not shown!
In Photoshop CS6 Adobe has added a white outline to the cross hair cursor (when for example using the Marquee and pen tool) making it a lot less precise than before when you want to hit exact pixels. Is there a way to remove this?
