View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with my cross hair not showing the size of my brushes or clones (where it shows a circle around the cross hair to know what size the brushes are) - this has happened before and someone told me to shut it down, and re-open photoshop, but it is not working!
I just made a logo brush, and can't see the brush until I actually stamp it on my picture. I've looked around trying to see if there is a "box not checked" somewhere that would allow me to see the brush size before I start using it, no luck.
In Photoshop CS6 Adobe has added a white outline to the cross hair cursor (when for example using the Marquee and pen tool) making it a lot less precise than before when you want to hit exact pixels. Is there a way to remove this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have contacted Adobe about issues with Photoshop brushes recently. My issue is that the brush size is smaller than the circle that represents the brush. In other words, when I hoover over the area that I want to paint or erase with the circle and then click, the painted or erased area is smaller that the circle. It's really frustrating when fine tuning an image, you never know how close you are to what you want to correct. This is only visible when you zoom in quit a bit. I worked with an Adobe tech for over an hour and he could not simulate the problem. Then he finally asked if I was using a retina display, (he was not).

Or maybe a good technique?
I was trying to use the healing brush to color hair in places where it was grey. I followed all the steps from the Photoshop handbook and held down the Alt key to sample areas of the hair that were good to use, but when I brush over the grey areas and release the mouse it just softens the area instead of keeping the color and texture I sampled. What's going wrong?
Or is there another, better way how to do it? I use Photoshop CX.
Liquify won't show me the circle anymore for editing, just a cross. Only thing new is a new performance mouse.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to turn off cross-hairs for Photoshop when using a very fine brush? i recently bought Wacom Cintiq 12WX and find cross hairs under the pen incredibly jarring.
i selected "normal brush tip" option in preferences > cursors menu and it works fine with bigger brushes but currently i'm working on a small-format illustration and use 1 and 2 px brushes a lot and cross hairs are still present for brushes that small.
Photoshop CS6

This may sound rude since ive just signed up but i installed photoshop 2 days ago and can't manage to get it working. (although i doubt i'd know how to do this anyway)
Would someone be able to change my hair colour at all? (im not sure how difficult it is).
I created a simple symbol from a circle with a cross inside (two rectangles). The symbol has two states labelled "normal" and "over" in which background colors change : on mousover and mouseout on the circle, sym.stop("over"); and sym.stop("normal"); respectively.
The problem : "over" when the cursor hovers over the circle, but back to "normal" when it hovers over the cross. The API suggests to use mouseenter and mouseleave to avoid child elements of the symbol interrupt the mouse event. I tried it, but the behavior is the same.
Is there any JavaScript solution (I'm a beginner, coming from AS3), or should I bypass with two flattened graphics "normal" and "over" ?
I took a picture. How can I "paint" her color to blonde?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to change hair color on a picture (from black to blonde). Those pictures are textures for a game so it is pretty clean and easy to edit usually
I have another pictures with the blonde hairs tones and colors in it.
So i figured i had to save color range or something on the blonde hair picture to apply it on the black hair picture, right ?
how to change hair color and select it to modify it. I've tried using magic wand laso tools.. I know that if you make a selection you can modify color in hue/saturation but I can't seem to figure out a easy way to select and work just with the hair and coloring just hair. working mac pscs2.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change a model's hair color in a photo from blonde to dark brunette (need one dark brown, and one black hair).
I can change the hair color to every other color and lighten and darken it using hue/saturation, burn & sponge tool, brush with overlays, but cannot seem to successfully get a realistic brunette. At the moment all I get is a black/white effect or a deep red.
Either I am not getting the combination and settings of these effects correct or I am not using the proper Photoshop tools. I can't imagine that this should be difficult.
Perhaps the photo is not bet suited to this? (can be viewed on )

How to remove or change the color of hair in a beard?

Any thoughts on approach?
Suddenly my CS2 has started to act up. First, after opening a file and start to do a background erasing, the brush shows up as crosshairs.
after a brief time of working with those limitations, when I click on the downdown menus, they get highlighted, but nothing drops down. If I try to close the file or the program, all I get is a warning "ding".
trying every layer mask combo I could think of to create a realistic shade of white hair that doesn't look like I just used the brush tool to make it.
I've tried lighting up the shadows with the curves option then using the selective color option. But all that does is make a very fake looking film to put over the eyebrows (ya it's eyebrows I'm working on, I'm trying to get them to match a white wig the subject is wearing.)
I've also tried using the solid color option, and a color overlay and that just came out weird.
Has anyone ever turned pitch black hair to white and had it still look like hair?
when i was usng brush it didnt shiw the circle so i can see where i paint and in what size it only showed the cross so how to show he circle of the brush again and what did i do that it dissapeared
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis happens occasionally-out of nowhere the brush tool stops showing as a circle of specfic diameter and shows as a crosshairs, which does me no good whatever. This goes for all tools using the brush presets-brush, eraser, and stamp. I can't do anything. because I can't see the tool I'm working with. I tried restarting PS, then restarting with trashed prefs. Neither worked. I know that sooner or later it will come back and all wil be well, but meanwhile, the deadlines are creeping closer & closer. The enemy is at the gates.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen using paint brush at 25% of full screen in the editing window, the paint brush circle starts to break up at 400 pixels ie it shows only the upper left part of the circle. At 50% of full screen it does the same starting at 175 pixels.
Can anyone duplicate this on their machine.
I run Photoshop CS4 on Wondows XP Pro SP2.
since I use the paint brush much of the time.
There are a few things I just don't get about brush settings. Sometimes it seems my brushes go all wonky.
When I change the settings for 1 brush... say I add some jitter to a smooth brush - then suddenly the other brushes get the same jitter applied to them.
How can I set the brushes so that each brush has a different setting that doesn't change when I change any other brush settings?
p.s. I also don't get why Adobe has you lock a brush by UNlocking it? Seems to me it should be the other way around?

But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically

The feature where you can quickly change a brush size/ diameter by pressing Alt + hold right click (for Windows) (In Mac, control + alt + left click) is neat but is there any way to change that shortcut to a different combination? I can't find it in the shortcuts list.
